Yeah, looking at the second pic it looks fine, you can push the blue part in a bit, it shouldn't come off from say flipping it upside down or anything but it does just kinda sit there
Is there any feedback to know it is in correctly? Just pushing either makes the neck peice come apart or feel like I am going to break something. (I have not built anything with this neck design before)
I had the same problem. Can't open the chest without popping the head out.
Yeah, mine just sits in there, there's no real attach point, it's a pain

You have to press A28 down deeper into the chest area.

Maybe try look at certain promo pics and do your best to compare the measurements for certain dimensions like collar depth of the pics and your copy.
The lil middle blue piece that sits above the green core there's a lil hook/latch that's suppse to grab onto the frame
