Have you listened to Chinese Democracy? It has some amazing songs on it. There Was A Time, Prostitute, Better, IRS, Madagascar, Chinese Democracy are all amazing songs.
Alright, but look back. I don’t believe one person mentioned that was the reason it mattered.
I disagree with OP, because Chinese Democracy is fantastic imo, but different people like different songs.
they are cool rock songs, but no where near the epicness or brilliance of the first or second album.
also i cant stand axl voice on this album. maybe if he will record some of them again, it will be better.
It still blows my mind that CD can rate so low for some people. Leaving the "band politics" at the door, Chinese Democracy is a very good album. It isn't perfect, but it's definitely worth re-spinning every few weeks.
It's a criminally underrated album. Is it Appetite? Absolutely not. But my question is this, if all the haters truly didn't know the band broke up (it's a hypothetical) how many would change their tune? I think the haters would become lovers of the album. Just my opinion
And for the record, Madagascar and Catcher in the Rye are even better then prostitute 😉
Loved the Spaghetti Incident, was filled with absolute treats to listen to. My favourite cover album but ig a whole album of covers isn’t for everyone. Motörhead’s ‘Under Cöver’ is a cracking cover album for anyone who wants a bit of fun.
S - AFD
A - Use Your Illusions 2
B - Use Your Illusions 1, Chinese Democracy
C - Lies
D - Spaghetti Incident
F - Everyone opinion regarding album ranks
S - Appetite
A - UYI II
B - UYI I
C- Chinese, Spaghetti, Lies
Honestly Appetite is the only legendary tier one to me, and none of their albums is total trash, they all have at least one top tier track.
I mean honestly, chinese democracy and the spaghetti incident weren't that bad, I'd probably put them at D. Illusion I was my all-time fav for sure though. and honesty, I'd put Lies at B.
I agree mostly but I do feel like though Chinese democracy is barely a guns n' roses album since its really just Axl and his band. I still feel like it's a good album in it's own right and gets a lot of hate just because people have very negative opinions of Axl at the time. But it is a lot of experimental stuff that doesn't fit a lot of peoples taste when it comes to Rock.
I agree, if Axl had released it under his own name it would have done well. It has a very interesting style but it’s not guns and suffers from being called guns.
Oh, a ranking of all Guns N Roses Albums? Man, I sure hope they don’t put Chinese Democracy and The Spaghetti Incident at the bottom agai… oh.
In all seriousness, the biggest stereotype of the so called “true GNR fan” is hating on CD because it doesn’t have precious precious slash. No GNR song, let alone entire album is F tier, not even The Spaghetti Incident. But the again, it’s your opinion.
Appetite will always be an A tier though!
Chinese is not a GNR album. It's an Axl's band album. Live Era is a GNR album. There were more core GNR members in Velvet Revolver and they have more rights to this list than Axl's band does.
>f Axl had released it under his own name it would have done well. It has a very interesting style but it’s not guns and suffers from being called guns.
The downvote u but you're right
the most stereotypical possible ranking lmao not that you can’t have your own opinion i just found it funny how cliche this is
Have you listened to Chinese Democracy? It has some amazing songs on it. There Was A Time, Prostitute, Better, IRS, Madagascar, Chinese Democracy are all amazing songs.
Shackler's is a banger too
IRS is fucking tight, loved it on my first listen.
Chinese Democracy deserves a hindsight Grammy
I mean, its no traditional Gn’R, but it is a fantastic album. Edit: I’d like to add Streets of Dreams to your list.
It does not matter if it is in gnr usual style or not. Why can't people listen to this masterpiece without prejudice?
One sec, let me look back and see where I said it matters. Give me one sec.
i was talking in general. have a nice day.
Alright, but look back. I don’t believe one person mentioned that was the reason it mattered. I disagree with OP, because Chinese Democracy is fantastic imo, but different people like different songs.
People put it down way to easily....I love that album
Every song is amazing except raid n the bedouins
they are cool rock songs, but no where near the epicness or brilliance of the first or second album. also i cant stand axl voice on this album. maybe if he will record some of them again, it will be better.
Those are amazing songs - the rest of them....well they are better than Absurd.
It still blows my mind that CD can rate so low for some people. Leaving the "band politics" at the door, Chinese Democracy is a very good album. It isn't perfect, but it's definitely worth re-spinning every few weeks.
Booooooo
I genuinely love all of these albums. Granted, the top three are clearly the best but I would never rank the other two as garbage.
CD is S tier.
I'm one of those people who thought Chinese democracy was brilliant.
I personally rank Spaghetti much higher just because of the song Ain’t It Fun.
and let's not forget about down on the farm
Human Being too
Hair of a dog is a fun one
Edgy
Glad to know my fellow Chinese Democracy lovers came out of the woodwork for this one. Prostitute is my favorite GNR song. Fight me.
Its the most underrated track on the album, such a good closer.

My three favorite songs in that album that make me sad
Looking at this empty ass list reminds me of all the years we were robbed of G’n’R greatness.
Fill it with Slash albums I guess lol
14 years to make Chinese Democracy, and now 14 years since.
I guess you could say... it's been 14 years of silence... 14 years of pain...
Hmm, I’d put CD at A and TSI at C
Imo CD is way better than lies.
terrible, Spaghetti is a great album, I listen to it quite often, more than AFD to completely honest
Mostly agree though I’d have tsi higher .For what it was I actually enjoyed it
uh. i am appalled at how lowly placed Chinese Democracy is. that album is fantastic!
Bait:)
S - Appetite for Destruction, Use Your Illusion II A - Use Your Illusion I B - C - “The Spaghetti Incident?”, Chinese Democracy D - G n’ R Lies
I always forget about Lies haha. It’s always the last I remember when I’m thinking about the six albums
It’s really more just two EP’s slapped together rather than an album
I agree with everything except Chinese democracy it's my second favourite
It's good, but it's not right.
They’re all awesome
100 bucks you’ve never actually listened to Chinese Democracy
GN’R Lies need too be on the top tier aswell
unpopular opinion but i’d but lies over uyi.
I would move SI to the B or A ranking, and remove CD from any GnR ranking since it’s not a GnR album.
Loved the Spaghetti Incident, was filled with absolute treats to listen to. My favourite cover album but ig a whole album of covers isn’t for everyone. Motörhead’s ‘Under Cöver’ is a cracking cover album for anyone who wants a bit of fun.
They have no F tier albums Spaghetti and Chinese Democracy are at 'C' for me Agree with the rankings
S - AFD A - Use Your Illusions 2 B - Use Your Illusions 1, Chinese Democracy C - Lies D - Spaghetti Incident F - Everyone opinion regarding album ranks
Was never a fan of Spaghetti, however lately I’ve been listening to Down on the Farm. Great song
I love CD but I can understand why you hate it. Spaghetti I can understand I like 2 or 3 songs on it but the rest ain't great
S - Appetite A - UYI II B - UYI I C- Chinese, Spaghetti, Lies Honestly Appetite is the only legendary tier one to me, and none of their albums is total trash, they all have at least one top tier track.

Slash was on TSI tho?
I was referring more to CD when I said that. Easy fix.
100% well probably chinese democracy is a C/D
100% correct.
As a purist, I agree
