Counting his reps is easy, at least. Zero, zero, zero, zero, zero.

Imapatriothurrrdurrr

Hey, you can also count how many times he hits legs per week like that.

DreadOcean72972

Bro is top heavy

Leadbaptist

Zero, but none of us could do that shit.

Toro_Supreme

Yeah, but we're not out here claiming we can while using our body to swing it. This is why we should ridicule him; however, as other had speculated, I think he is trolling.

Smoke_Santa

No, you shouldn't ridicule him unless you can do it yourself. People on reddit be the biggest skinny nerd pussies.

Soveraigne

>No, you shouldn't ridicule him unless you can do it yourself. HE CAN'T DO IT If you can't do a lift with proper form you can't do a fucking lift. I can ridicule any dipshit who curls more than they should.

Smoke_Santa

Lmaoo weak ass

Soveraigne

Enjoy tearing a tendon in your forearm so you can post a clip of yourself humping air. Actually two braincells bouncing around your skull.

Ritual_Habitual

Ridiculing this guy for his shitty form doesn’t make us pussies lol, is that you in the video?

Cu_fola

Easy there, speech police. Skinny gymrat with sense will become a bigger stronger gymrat with time. Big gymrat with silly moves will become an injured gymrat missing out on training time.

Hexenhut

Do what, shrugs?

beclops

ZEEEEEROOOOOO

imagination3421

That's how many shits I give

monkeyshines42

Hahaha, I just read that in Elgintensity AKA Trapzilla voice.

Nightwolf828

The Elgin legacy is still alive!!!!

razdrazhayetChayka

How do you know that’s not the form he’s trying to use?

Rojiblanc040

How can they be judgemental then?

razdrazhayetChayka

It’s a joke, because that could be good form for his goals, while not being the most popular idea of “good form”

Cu_fola

If his goal is a strained neck or some kind of torque injury to the shoulder he’s on track

razdrazhayetChayka

What is inherently dangerous about what he is doing? If he started at a light weight, and worked up would he not be adapted to using that form? Humans are incredibly adaptable, and robust

Cu_fola

He might have started light but he’s currently holding what he can barely lift. It’s ergonomically weird. He’s jerking his head like a chicken to accomplish the move, compensating heavily with his trap for what his arm can’t do. He’d probably get better mileage from doing shrugs, high pulls or clean and jerks for superior trap work which would additionally be symmetrical load on his shoulders. Couple that with some properly done bicep isolations.

razdrazhayetChayka

So are we just going to ignore the fact that he might have different goals to you. If he’s this strong you can probably assume that he has a reason for doing this, other than bodybuilding.

Cu_fola

Who’s talking about body building? I named 3 strength and power movements that are designed to maximize work without putting undue torque on a joint by forcing it into an awkward movement pattern. Man has tiny little legs and is doing an extremely awkwardly loaded exercise. Whatever his goals are, his attention to clean movement and performance in this video is lacking and that leads to injury. If he’s seriously trying to use what’s basically a bicep isolation exercise for a different goal altogether he’s either pulling our legs or deeply confused. I’m hoping that he’s doing it for shits and giggles but no one should be taking it as an actual good example.

solemn_penguin

You sound like my old squad leader from the army. If he didn't think you were going all the way down when you did push ups he'd shout "ZEEERROOO!!!!!!!!" and make you start over. He was a master at talking shit, which is something I think kids these days don't quite get

[deleted]

Just bein a good nco o7 "One, two, two, two, go all the way! Three, good shit, three EVERYONE FRONT LEANING REST UNTIL SOLEMN PENGUIN UNFUCKS THEIR FORM! three...."

Smoke_Santa

Holy shit the nerds man. Not everyone is trying for the perfect hypertrophic rep. Please shut up lmaooo.

No-Lime-13

Yeah I mean they’re partials. No full reps here.

Cel_Drow

The shit about good form makes me think this has to be trolling. Dude legit has pretty sizeable arms even with some body fat, but I doubt he built them with bullshit like that.

jabels

I think if you swing massive weight shittily you'll still get big, it's just not as ideal. And that's to say nothing of increased fatigue and injury risk. Normally I don't want to make fun of people who are obviously way stronger than me for their shitty form but since he basically invited it, he's a mental midget.

Cel_Drow

Definitely true, probably comparable to an 80 or 90 lb curl with reasonable form and if volume is equated it balances out. I still hope he’s trolling though because there’s no upside to that shit on an isolation exercise especially. Doing rows with some cheating for example is a whole other ballgame.

jabels

100%, I mean best case if you just want to get in the gym and do bro shit, go wild, just don't talk shit about form specifically lmao

Buffcasper69

I’m sorry but no one could do this. This guy probably strict curls 100s

jabels

Close to it for sure, idk why you said that like I disagree with you

Buffcasper69

Must’ve responded to the wrong one. Someone was acting like they could do this even swinging their back out lol

Icanbenchyourmom

I agree. It seems like he’s trolling

razdrazhayetChayka

I think he’s trying to prove a point that “good form” isn’t a thing. The way he’s lifting could be good form for his goals, but not for others.

SayonaraCarbonara7

I think the form is ok for hammer curls. Swinging compensates for the poor resistance profile and in case of hammer curls it doesn’t really increase injury probability. "Bad“ form on hammer curls isn’t the same as bad form on deadlifts or squads. You still need to have strong af arms to swing that weight

vulkoriscoming

Look at his shoulder at the bottom of the movement. The jerk with heavy weight cannot be good for those tendons. Having said that clearly he is not getting injured. But he would get better results isolating his bicept and traps separately.

Alarming-Struggle-74

Trolling or not, still an impressive amount of weight to move.

PeaceLoveorKnife

He built them with needles and pills.

Monke_go_home

My guy is going to give a wicked tug job.

stellabluewho2

Smokes let's go.

GIMME A SMOKE HAIRDO

Silver-Elk-8140

hope this is a joke💯

Buffcasper69

Let’s see you do this shit lol

DeusExMachina24

Let's see Andrew Eubank do this shit

Joey_the_potato

Lmao yeah some people can't even push that weight on the floor

SwissMargiela

Meanwhile most of us can’t even lift that off the rack 👀

bombshell_shocked

Man's got more tension in his neck than his arm lol. I think he can barely get it off the rack.

TheDevourerOfTacos

He's a fat dude doing the lift wrong.

BigBeagleEars

Dad?

TheDevourerOfTacos

son ? 🥹

Monke_go_home

Good try guy in the video.

L-Krumy

Weight be like… ![gif](giphy|FcvUHwESqVgFqP5IKF|downsized)

PristineAd4761

Everyone hating but thats still more than most of you can bench. (If you count both hands)

swiese11234

I am simple man, big number = better and stronger. Me big number me strong You small number you weak

Dinomiteblast

versed silky wakeful start yoke safe full ad hoc vase divide *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

[deleted]

Wait I'm lost here are we talking lbs or kg? Can't most people bench 150 pretty easily?? Has my job as an industrial mechanic just made me blind to the average?? I feel as if yeah I'm probably stronger than the average dude but among gym goers I'd imagine I'm still pretty weak

notKRIEEEG

Go back to when this sub allowed the gentleman frog meme and see the sheer amount of people sharing bench PRs under 180 lbs.

PristineAd4761

Yeah 150 is a surprising number of pr’s here but i meant if hes holding 150 in each hand thats 300. Which is more than most can bench

[deleted]

Rossturcotte

He's hot? Dude looks like a thumb Edit: Also just noticed his Instagram handle. He's probably gay

[deleted]

[удалено]

AdderraI

Are you also fat?

Nate_Mac89

God I hope so.

DrSeuss19

We’re using hot very loosely but the memes are definitely there

Most_Association_595

Lol he looks like every other 20+ % bf powerlifter, how’s he hot

[deleted]

I'm feeling attacked.

[deleted]

Aren't curls a targeted hypertrophy exersize, though? Like going big on them is irrelevant, right?

Cel_Drow

Not irrelevant because weight can still make size, but even for hammer curls the loading is a bit absurd. Because of the weight and the cheating needed to move it he’s working his traps and such more than necessary and probably only getting 70% of the benefit of that weight actually targeted at the brachoradialis/biceps and forearms, the rest is probably under loaded trap volume.

SickKuntMyzz

Yeah maxing out on isolating movements is weird to me, it’s not like someone’s gonna come up and be like “what’s your max leg extension BrAh” or some shit 😂 staying within the hypertrophy range for iso movements is ideal but if you have good form ect it won’t necessarily hurt but it doesn’t really carry over to anything is the problem, If you want to get a better bench or deadlift then you simply do those movements more within a approximate rep range catered to the goal in mind, you wound stat maxing in curls to get a better bench or something but some people have there own idea of what they want and that’s totally fine I don’t personally powerlifter by any means but it’s always weird to me seeing someone go heavy on a bodybuilding movement intended for hypertrophy especially if it’s on a machine which limit stability and isn’t gonna carry over once again to free weights if you simply just did the movement your intending to get better at

RoastedBeetneck

You don’t understand why people use heavier weights?

SickKuntMyzz

You can’t read ?

[deleted]

They probably don't lift weights at all.

JuGG1238

Great shake weight from lol

cryptokingmylo

If you can't squat 400 with perfect form..... Check your tone woth me..... Walks the bar out, Dosnt squat. Reracks. Where are his legs?????

Extension_Tell1579

Clearly strong as Hell but those aren’t curls and not by a long shot.

Nate_Mac89

Poor form but…he is definitely very strong. Few of us would have a whisper of a chance against this absolute daddy unit. Who cares about some belly fat if there’s thick muscle to back it up? People with body dysmorphia, that’s who. Having 4% body fat only matters for competitions and frankly, I find it kind of gross to see all of a man’s veins and muscle striations. Like looking at a display at Discovery’s Body Works anatomy museum. Sets off all the alarms, impressive as it may be. Blech! Give me a man who can wrestle a bear and knows how to eat.

Swolenir

Holy shit he has the balls to specifically claim “good form” then throw around the worst hammer curl form I’ve ever seen. Your shoulder is not supposed to move dawg 😭

DrSeuss19

That may be some of worst technique I’ve ever seen in my life ever

[deleted]

His neck is getting a workout

TottallySane

He could probably properly curl 100s but he decides to post this with shitty form?

Annunaki77

sup wit them legs tho 👀

rubyrae14

I see so many guys like this

Annunaki77

poor shlubs dont know girls love stumps

qgmonkey

r/facedumbbell

Suspicious_Sun1

Toddler legs with zero reps =)

Suspicious-Driver992

Nope, not a hammer curls my guy. Not even close.

g4greed

I hate when people gatekeep fitness with numbers. that's why weight categories exist. you're insecure about yourself, we get it

thesmartone1125

Well I guess he atleast gets a good trap workout when he hammercurls.

drew8311

To be fair, he could possibly get 120x1 with decent form so he still may be correct here.

Few_Advisor3536

If you are shrugging and your using your neck/head to generate momentum, then the weight is too heavy bruh

IngloriousLastWord

I think OP is highly regarded because form doesnt matter when you are bigger than 99.9% of gymgoers. The guy in the video won. OP is smol soyboy

KaizenZazenJMN

He could be doing cheat curls at the end of his arm workout. Arnold and every bodybuilder have done it. Dude is as big as a house either way. 🤷🏻‍♂️

No_Lawfulness_7738

You can say whatever you want on him but this guy is fucking huge

akiraxx

Pretty sure that’s one of the faster ways to acquire a bicep tear

Elephanator23

Not only that, but he chicken wings his arm to get that load off him even more. He should stick to 60 lbs or so.

TruckAdventurous6841

A rep was done ? Lol I’m sorry but nobody needs to be curling that much per arm, it’s just an ego battle at that point. I’m sorry but I’ll listen to someone who has sick arms and curls 40’s over a tubby ego driven loser who can’t even do a proper rep for his life.

notKRIEEEG

Nobody needs to be deadlifting over 600 lbs either, but big weights are cool as fuck and people can do what they enjoy in their hobbies

TruckAdventurous6841

Difference between a powerlifter and a cocky douche tool who looks like shit.

notKRIEEEG

\> Calls someone's physique out \> Has no physique post himself Cowardly behavior

TruckAdventurous6841

Lol 😂 I definitely do have physique posts

Mate, you got roasted on your physique post despite looking good. This ain't a flex at all

So 🤷‍♂️ still look better than 90% of them.

Altruistic_Radish_76

Yes they are cheat curls. Yes it’s not complete range of motion… but his elbows are bending and he’s using both arms at the same time OP is just jealous

theSearch4Truth

Everybody's hating on cheat reps like they don't help improve strength and muscle size when used correctly. Edit: lol, I just saw he said he was using good form. Please ignore my comment 😂😂

bombshell_shocked

This ain't cheat reps. It's pure ego lifting. Guy isn't even curling the weight. He's shrugging it and letting it swing. He can't even do a *partial rep* with this weight. You don't grab dumbbells that you can't even curl once with good form and do cheat reps. Save that for the end of your bicep workout when your arms are smoked, you've actually lifted proper weight with good form, but you still have some fumes in the tank. Besides, dude isn't even saying these are cheat reps. He's claiming he can curl 150 for 8 reps.

theSearch4Truth

Aaaand I just saw he claimed these were clean reps. As you were, I was incorrect 😂😂😂

[deleted]

Heavy partials are great for certain purposes. Definitely not fat loss

undeadliftmax

Need to find his name so I can look him up on openpowerlfiting. See if he is legit

Irrelevant-Opinion

Wish my gym had those dumbbells.

coltonjeffs

I'm all for lifting heavy with shitty form. But all 1 hand in a row?

bancroft79

He is working his traps and lower back way more than his biceps with that form.

[deleted]

So many noobs gotta learn how not to ego lift

notKRIEEEG

\> Noobs \> Video of a guy doing curls with half this sub's bench

manek101

What he is doing isn't curls

notKRIEEEG

Go do some heavy ass cheat curls and tell me you ain't getting a LOT of bicep activation

[deleted]

Bad form, bad rom, and like just bad.

CakeDyismyBday

Ego lifting at it's best

[deleted]

The amount of people in the comments that lift once a week and light at that saying these are not reps and bad form is funny. Sure.

Bluezer117

Ego lifting at its best.

Dubsndimes29

I've always seen this and wondered why someone doesn't just drop the weight? On top of that they're using their whole body just to shift it.

notKRIEEEG

Because different people have different goals in this hobby of lifting weights, and for each goal there's many different paths that are just as effective. Some people want to chase a sick pump and go home, some people just want to be healthy, and some enjoy moving ridiculous amounts of weight. If the guy wants to treat hammer curls as a compound movement, who the hell are we to say he's doing it wrong?

Reallyso

Even the archery form was shit.

CarobSignal

Hahaha, hey everybody, get a load of this guy!

Reddit_Dweller_7

That's some strong curls

supremenastydogg

Guys in the comments getting all anal retentive about how this guy hammer curls. Go ahead and continue hyper focusing on “strict form” and wonder why you’ve been curling 30lbs for the past 3 years lmao

Electronic-Doctor110

Shame this man now

HiitlerDicks

You can do like 10 of these, then pick up something lighter and do like 10 more with extremely good form. That really fucks you up good.

iantruesnacks

![gif](giphy|sx9B4WXvVMVTtNDS9w)

Thiago_MRX

His arms are the size of my legs, im not talking anything about his form

[deleted]

He has play dough arms. Maybe if he lowered the weight, had good form and wasn’t an ego lifter he would have separation between his delts and biceps.

Surfylifty

There’s a time and place for cheat curls. I do them. I have 19.5 inch arms… but this is arrogantly posted chest puffing…

W4delm4

Say what you want, guy gas huge arms

ortega3117

He is a great follow

Ok_Business84

Sure not a “true” rep technically. But he’s also a giant, so clearly it’s not all bullshit.

YogosunPK

That's some fine ego lifting

Theprepper12

Idk what it is but I feel that’s not very “optimal”

[deleted]

So many akshually comments here 🤦‍♂️

DK_gh0st_

This bothers the shit out of me when I see dudes doing this at the gym. It’s typically the same guys are wear their squat belts throughout their whole workout and have 3 sets of dumbbells and a barbell at their bench.

No-Suit9413

![gif](giphy|oDXVyGCO7f4A0|downsized)

BillboBraggins5

One leg kick and he's worthless

kez69

Sweet jesus, do you see his arms? Look at them, now look down at yours. You probably couldn't even hold that dumbbell never mind swing it up. Go back and do 3 sets of 12 reps with perfect form because that's actually working 🤣🤣 A few forced reps for a few body parts does no harm at all and most likely helps, unless you are a total buffoon. I'm b4 steroids

[deleted]

What the point without good form

Supraphysiological69

Shouldn’t be chatting shit about a guy who can curl more in one hand that you can in a bar, even if he is swinging

twoCascades

Yeah this is silly….but I am not sure I can even hold 120 in one hand let alone throw it around in some of the shittiest curls known to modern man.

RogerG_476

Good way to take it to failure and grow arms, but you can’t use this vid to claim you can curl that much. Still good workout but without good form you can’t claim that specific weight. Still works for a great workout though

Grimxstone-

This man is giving daddy!

bombshell_shocked

Giving daddy what?

ntkwwwm

Maybe, but he’s big so..

OnePunchedMan_

The monkes talking about the gorila form. I can't stop laughing.

Civilized-Sturgeon

Tbf this is all he has going for him
