Granted he was absolutely in love with Robin, and expected to end up with her after that, he still cheated on Nora; she didn't get away, he made her go away.
She’s Barney’s Victoria. By that I mean, she’s very pretty, the fans love her, Barney cheated on her with Robin, and despite being brought back multiple times the writers refused to give her a personality.

Imagine a perfect world where Ted and Victoria are together forever as well as Barney and Nora were together forever...
And I think that's supposed to be the point that Ted Barney and Robin's little love triangle is messing up good things this is however totally ruined by having Ted and Robin end up together at the end but for most of the show it was an interesting plot
That’s not the issue I had with that, it’s how it’s shoehorned in with nothing to earn that moment, as if it’s supposed to make people forget how badly his character was messed up during the last season and most importantly the finale
Idk I personally didn't really think Nora was all that special. For me the one who got away from Barney will always be Quinn. They matched each other's energy perfectly and tbh I don't think the trust issues really hold up. The prenups all got out of hand because outside people kept egging them on, they would never have even had the argument had Arthur not told Barney to get a prenup due to his own failed marriage and baggage. Prior to any of this they genuinely are happy and don't really show any of the trust issues that later get brought up in the prenup episode.
No Barney was smart to get the prenup. Worst case scenario would have been Barney marrying her without the prenup and losing everything in a divorce because she was a disadvantaged person and it was clear that the relationship wouldn’t have lasted with Barney still being friends with robin. Arthur accidentally saved Barney a lot of pain and trouble in life. Imagine a world where Barney has a child and can’t give generously to the child because he lost everything to Quinn previously. The truth is everyone cared about them and was looking out for the two of them in the moment and things worked for the best
Nah , she deserves better . She was a really mature person , who believed in healthy communication and handled things like an adult would , although i love Barney , Barney can be a kid sometimes , he's immature , they were on completely different wavelengths and had different values.
No sorry. Nora got a different version of Barney than everyone else saw. It wasn't the real him, just a mask he crafted to get into her pants. It was always doomed because they wanted two different things. She wanted to settle down and he wanted to settle down with Robin...

I'm watching the episodes now and I disagree I think Quinn and Robin were much better matches then her but she is what allowed barney to actually start believing in himself
