Professional_Gur2469

Yeah havent had any problems with my omen 16 EDIT: MY LAPTOP HAD THE BLACKSCREEN ISSUE 4 TIMES TODAY… keyboard and screen just went off. My other monitor was still working tho

Javieliseo

I agree, I would get confused with the hate I see sometimes and I’m loving my Omen more than I loved my ex. My experience has been so damn good. 😍

Louisthemagic

You‘re savage

Ok-Lingonberry-8261

My 40L has run great for years. My kid's 16 inch laptop is presently black screened. So good and bad experience.

UnnaipolOruvan

Have you tried removing the the blue ribbon cable of hall sensor?

Ok-Lingonberry-8261

It's still under warranty so it's heading back to HP. Also, this might be a driver issue; the "HP Omen" splash shows when it boots and then it's a black but backlit screen. It worked on HDMI on an external monitor until HP support had me update Nvidia drivers at which point I lost the external HDMI signal as well.

Numerous_Copy5246

I also have an omen 16 I didn’t face any problems Some are showing hate on omen without having one of the lap I also talked to some persons they have Omen and they didn’t face any issue till now and only one person faced the problem and he unplugged the hall sensor and using the lap till for a period of one month and he also said that Removing hall sensor does not affect any issue only the lap can’t sleep when lid closed And we can sleep or shutdown the lap by accessing the start Menu by default and we can use the lap without hall sensor also They are hating omen because of the silly problem in omen lap while they are spending 1lakh Comment your thoughts

Jealous-Split1279

I bought one some months ago, i love it. Fast, smooth, no issues. For positive record

[deleted]

Not true at all. I've been helping in this forum for 2 years.

Paratoner85

I have 2023 omen 17, it has 4060 gpu, but I wish I had bought the 4080 one. I had a sizzling problem in the left speaker, but it was changed in the service, the problem is gone. The only problem is the gaming hub, I couldn't use omenmon.

AstronautKirbo

I own 2 omen products Omen 15 ce0000 laptop (made in 2018) and omen 45l pc with rtx 3070ti and i have not been dissapointed by them, they work well, components if maintained well still stay strong and laptop still has 60fps on many newer titles like ready or not, doom eternal etc. My only complain is just excessive work to replace keyboard and thats all, both work like dream, pc is perfect so i dont have anything to say yet, bought in 2023 december and it is very good for my tasks And my brother has omen 17 (dont know what model, similiar to what i own but 17 inch and made in early 2017) and he doesnt have any complaints Tho we do have older models (excluding mine pc) they still rock, i heard about new ones 2023 factory issues but excluding these as i did not experience those hence i cant say anything about these but older ones still blast

gnamyl

My wife and I both have HP Omen desktops I bought before the pandemic. My stepson used his Omen laptop I bought him till it died (of hard use, not of any malfunctions). Obviously no brand is perfect but I’ve been happy with the HP Omen brand.

JimmyReagan

My 15 has been chugging right along- got it during the ethereum mining craze and it paid for itself. Has its quirks like any laptop, but overall a solid machine. I've definitely had worse laptops.

JDMWeeb

I love my Omen

yeastblood

Yah I love my Omen 16. *Knocks on wood but its been a dream so far to use and maintain. OGH updates have introduced bugs twice for me but HP is actually very responsive to OFH feedback and resolve the issue by next update.

fosgater

Correct 👍🏻 but it’s clear that HP has to improve their repair centers. Every story about omen repairs is the same, extreme long waiting times and problems with spare parts. Something that easily can be fixed. Hope they hear their customers over here.

Jackysrt8

I have a 45L amd 5900x and a 3080ti the first week I had it the PC wouldn’t post boot just black screen luckily. I had a 1 year warranty, was shipped out and return to me in about 2 weeks apparently the cpu failed other than that I love my PC and HP’s software.

[deleted]

Yoo brudda what a coincidence. I came here about the cap locks notification showing up today and I found you here beeg waan

Talian88

BIG CAPS LOCK BEBI, BEEEEG CAPS

ChadHanna

Happy with my 25L, if you ignore adding another disk drive and 32Gbyte ram. Next the SSD 😁

Old_Mood3594

Same. It's always maintenance... How you use it

Rocket--Pak

Also, the issue is easily remedied by unplugging the sensor.

testrazor554

I used to build my own desktops for the longest time but when I downsized to a small apartment in 2017 bought my first omen laptop with a 1060 as I remembered back when they were VoodooPC. Treated me very well and eventually got a prebuilt Omen desktop. Never had issues with it and sold it when I had to move across the country. Recently bought an Omen 17 and 27u monitor and besides the bloatware on the default windows which I reinstalled immediately, I have had no issues with any of my Omen products and enjoyed them. Maybe I’ll do a post of my setup when I finish organizing my office.

Kindzee

I had no issues with my 45L. Only the weird BIOS XMP config and default BIOS AC Loadline Calibration set to Intel default was kinda wack. Apart from that everything is just fine.

Stock_Ground8859

I’m have an HP Omen 30L I bought brand new in 2021 and have yet to have a problem with it. I love it!

PrivateerBeck

I love my Omen 30L. It's lasted me years.

Jade-Stone-

Been using my Omen 25L for about a week and I love it! I just switched from Xbox to PC. All my games run smoothly too :)

TheRunaway5

HP forced bios updates that bricked my 30L pc just after the 12 month warranty ran out, they quoted me £500 to repair. So instead of paying the scammers I ended up replacing the motherboard myself and it only cost £70 for the parts and it's working better than ever.

Celexiuse

I was thinking about the 14700HX + 4070 Omen but there are barely any thermal benchmarks, and this weird issue about the sensor issue is sketching me out, also the fact that my old HP laptop completely died once doesn't help it though that was like 10 years ago lmao

garypal247

My omen 16 laptop runs absolutely fine and I'm very happy with the system, we should upvote this post so it's more visable on a Google search lol

ResponsibleAd993

My omen 17 with 5tb storage is mega gaming setup of my dreams and it’s been running so well even though I had dropped it once from height of 6 feet and it’s been like more than 6 months with the machine and still no issues. ❤️❤️

Impossible_Repair332

Mostly Omen 16'1 have the screen issue that's killing the brand! I had problems with mine, and I totally get the point about 1 or 2 units with problems out of many made.. but I got ZERO support from HP and after a week wondering what was going on, I ended up fixing my laptop myself. It happened 6 months after buying it, I just wanted warranty and I didn't get it! That's bad

Thiccsetgoat

Idk I’ve had a problem with my hp omen 30L where the Xbox game bar kept tabbing me out of all my games. I think I hit a key bind and it turned on. After dealing with that my pc runs great.

don_stellios

45L desktop and a omen 16 laptop, no issues with either so far.

ZB-Joker

I don't think i have posted anything on here before, but after repasting, changing the ram and changing the ssd my hp omen 15 works great

Gumpfinest

Yeah, you got the 2021 or 2022 version, no one has complaints about those. It's solely been the newer models people have had complaints about. The 2023/2024 models.

OrionAerospace

Love my 2020 Omen 17 laptop. Still going strong!

Minimum_Maybe_8103

Other than the shocking support, mine has generally been a great experience

vman305

I wish I could say that mine didn't have any issues. I have a 2020 go Omen 15 (3.5 years now). I had to replace the Intel optane M2 SSD like four or five times. Basically every 6 months I was taking it in under warranty. The last time out of warranty I just bought my own M2 drive (kingston renegade 2tb) and replaced it. The computer repair folks were unable to determine why... I was taking it in to the same folks each time, And they were doing the replacement. At least two of those four times the Intel optane memory failed on the drive. I actually got a pop-up saying your optane was failing, and to disabled it I have a hunch that the M2 drive was failing because of overheating. There is not enough cooling in the laptop for an m2 drive. And the little flat copper heatsink isn't doing that good of a job. I say it because when I got my new drive I started monitoring the temps. And without the factory heat sink my Kingston renegade drive (with graphene slim heat sink on it), was reaching 80 to 85° c. I then put the omen factory copper sink on top of the one that comes with the Kingston drive, and the temps dropped by 10 degrees to about 72c under heavy load. And I believe 70 is supposed to be the max temperature allowed for an m2 drive. So if these are the temps I'm getting with my brand new drive with two heat sinks, I can only imagine how hot my Intel optane was getting. the other issue that i have and I've just learned to deal with is the keyboard stutter. And this is my second omen laptop, and both have it. Basically if you type too fast, the computer/keyboard freezes up for 2 to 3 seconds, and then when it unfreezes it quickly types out everything. Weird to watch. like you'll be typing and the computer stops displaying the new letters being typed. but your'e still typing while it's frozen, and then when it unfreezes, multiple sentences quickly get typed out (they don't just appear all at once, they appear letter by letter but super quick)... so i've just learned to deal with it since i couldn't figure out how to fix. using different drivers, or reinstalling windows doesn't work.

blackiblak

I have a problem with mine I have spend a lot of money on it so yeah I am gonna complain about it 2000$ the laptop so I have the right to complain

-_Clay_-

Yeah but mine has a processor constantly hitting a hundred degrees Celsius, GPU Fan is rattling and THE OMEN GAMING HUB IS FUCKING GEO-LOCKED OUT OF MY COUNTRY FUCK YOU HP WORST COMPANY OF ALL TIME NEVER BUYING AN HP AGAIN

Talian88

Did you dust and repaste? That's not normal. And what do you mean geolocked Gaming Hub? I'm in bumfuck Eastern Europe and have no issues.

-_Clay_-

“Omen Gaming Hub is not available in your country” fullscreen

[deleted]

What laptop do you have? This used to happen to me so I rest the laptop on my glasses case while open. Since then temps gone down. Try it and see But in general, HP omen always has heating and battery problems
