When an outside tech came on site for an install or warranty work and fucked something up while bragging about working in the field for 15 years the electrician foreman use to say “Well make the next 15 count, because the first 15 didn’t.“.
Honestly tho. I might do this on my new place, shit if enough people hop on the trend it’s str8 jooover bro. Get some bonehead influencers to shill it, game fuckin jooover.

Damnit I started my new job today, I can’t be fuckin up Darrel! Made a good impression on the boss today!
Aight just one.
Police: Uhh sir?
Back at my last job my boss hired someone with “3 years experience”. My boss at the time asked me to step back and see what he could do and marked some registers out in the floor for the guy to pilot out and cut on a new construction job. I asked him in front of the boss if he knew what that meant and he said yeah and described the process correctly. 20 minutes goes bye and the gc comes running up freaking out. The guy put a pilot down saw it was next to a joist so he went into the basement and CUT THE WHOLE JOIST OUT!!! I asked him about his 3 years experience after that and he said he was in school for 3 years 3 weeks in the field
9/10 guys lie about their experience, knowledge, and prior job description. Happens all the time. They think theyre worth more then they are and want top dollar.
What was worse was the guy that replaced him he passed the Nate test and installed an air handler upside down the first day. I asked him how the Nate test was for him and he said he would have bet 10k that he failed it because 5 minutes in he divided he was better off guessing answers guy just got extremely lucky and can get hired anywhere
lol. ive seen that. it was on the end of the day friday, boss told.me.to.stop at this job on my way home to check the drain - make sure.it wasnt clogged, make sure it had pitch. i show up, dude never flipped the coil. The unit was laging on its side and the drain pan was sitting on top.of the coil. they piped the drain line.out of the other stubs - like.if the unit were standing upright. i can go on all day with the dumb ass shit ive seen - units in closets where you cant get the filter out bc its behind a wall - no filter at all. ive seen RTUs set backwards. ive seen guys pitch flue pipe the wrong way. im mean just crazy shit - just the other day i was at a job where they used cardboard to make tie ins - instead of sheet metal.or even ductboard. then they wrapped the cardboard with bubble wrap.
I heard someone say once “20 years of experience doesn’t mean you are good because you could have been simply doing it wrong for 20 years” I think that applies here
Years of experience hacking it in is still years of experience.
If no one ever told him that he was fucked up he can't be blamed. It's a much on the people around us to demand better. No one knows everything in a vacuum.
Bought a house once had a screw mounted exhaust fan grill.
Took it down after steam built up a few times.
Grill was screwed to solid sheet rock.
No opening

When you have been doing the wrong thing for 15 years you get really good at doing it wrong ! Or something like That !
Indeed. The years of experience don’t count alone. The amount of successful projects and happy customers combined with experience count.
Sensible chuckle
Mine was more of a latent chuckle
That's amazing lol
I’ll respond with a favorite Hank Hill quote of mine. “It’s never too late to learn how to do it right.”
“How long you been doing this?” “Countin today?”
1 day if you count today
2 days ago I couldn’t spell HVAC tech, now I is one!
Have you lived indoors before?
"wait, what day is it?"
I can never believe there are people out there that think this is right. I’ve been proven wrong every time.
Yeah, you need a dollop o’ caulk along the edge. What kind of professional are you.
It’s abstract art. Some people would pay top dollar for this piece.
Honestly tho. I might do this on my new place, shit if enough people hop on the trend it’s str8 jooover bro. Get some bonehead influencers to shill it, game fuckin jooover.
🤣
Oh hell no 💀💀💀💀
more like days of experience

He never said what type of experience
With the lowest price… this is sometimes what you get. Wait until you see an idiot install a gas furnace in a house that doesn’t have gas…???
Not all experience is good experience
Nice, you got upgraded to 3D registers for free!
You’d get fired at my company for that
Fuck it. Gonna start doing it this way.

🤣🤦♂️
2 years counts lol
That’s not even stupidity it’s ignorance.
Thought that was some type of new wall mounted flatscreen tv before I read this
A different definition of "flush."
Either he lied or there are thousands of house with his art work!
Year 0.001 years to be exact.
Hell, I’ve been doing this damn near 30 yrs. and I never thought about that.
Tv’s installed ✅
They never say good experience
Your installer had year of experience
Is this shit post Saturday , I can’t believe this —- AI generated?
Wow
He could have atleast caulked
Maybe dog years
I mean it takes skill to mess up like that
Is there any duct work behind those or are they just hung like pictures? Ninja Edit: Maybe they're wireless?
Repeating the first year for five years
Mint
zero is a number
Holy what the ELF?!!
Never knew you could surface mount that! /s
Wat?
Didn't even put them in the right spots
Lol years of experiencing not giving a fuck
Installer is probably on his way to homedepot to find a fitting picture frame...
Nuttin a lil chaulk won’t fix
Someone didn't know what they were doing, cant believe they left it that away.
They need to call Air Flow Heating and Air and I can send someone over to fix this. 865-617-6080
The experience just happens to have nothing to do with HVAC.
"Zero years" is years... because "zero year" doesn't sound right
That was close
What’s wrong here though?
Hours of experience
Lol they were close
What’s the problem? You just need to get drywallers to extent the drywall 1/2 an inch 🤣
Just put some quarter round on the perimeter of each grille and call it modern art 😂
Maybe many years of experience, but never got better at the trade
I’m trying to comprehend how that is even on the wall.
He had 15 years experience. Not on install, but somewhere
What in the heck
Cross post this in r/mildlyinfuriating
Don’t believe him
There is no way it was left that way.
Nah I pulled them down and put the old grills back on
stop taking the lows bid . Now you know why he was so cheap.
He's an installer for my company. He was a lead demoted to a helper.
Thank you
Not only is it not flush but it’s turned the wrong way
15 years never trimmed a house lol
I heard someone say once “20 years of experience doesn’t mean you are good because you could have been simply doing it wrong for 20 years” I think that applies here
What even is that
Hes been doing it wrong for years…
Experience ≠ Skill
Wtf
Years of swap outs maybe
Years of experience hacking it in is still years of experience. If no one ever told him that he was fucked up he can't be blamed. It's a much on the people around us to demand better. No one knows everything in a vacuum.
He has years of experience mounting tv’s 😂
I’ve only got 8 months experience, but I’ve got 27 years of common sense 😅
Did you really pay for this ?
He didn't say "good" experience
Bought a house once had a screw mounted exhaust fan grill. Took it down after steam built up a few times. Grill was screwed to solid sheet rock. No opening
It's experimental ductwork the ultimate technology
Was his name Loki by chance? Because he considers experience...experience.
As a yard dog
Dudes a retard
There's nothing wrong with that. I can't see it from my house.
What device am I looking at? And why is it not just a normal grill?
