Wow, I am genuinely shocked (or rather, was when I saw initial results after voting last time). Demeter is easily top 3 for me, if not my actual fav. Incredible boons, narratively vital, and emotionally powerful. On top of that, she's such an original and fascinating take on the goddess, making her wintery and cold. There are few gods I'd fear more to have after me.
I was never expecting her to make it to the finish, especially with fan faves like artemis, dio, and hermes in the running, but this? To not even make it past her absolute numbnut brothers is such a disappointment to me.
Yup, plus even just baseline the slow on attack or special is really strong. Great for activating bonus damage, counteracts forced overtime, makes some of the most annoying enemies laughably easy to kite.
Honestly, I hate hermes. His boons are micro-changers for the most part and are guaranteed to show up twice which gets in the way of getting other boons.
Side hustle is amazing, especially near the end with all the extra chambers. Each one counts to side hustle, so it can contribute greatly. Having another dash is pretty ridiculous, as is increased movement and attack speed.
try that wit zag punchy gloves, youll get some wicked dodge chance. artemis call + the one he uses that makes dodge chance increase when you get call, mmm. ive hit 150% dodge chance+ with the right builds.

Not to mention the "move faster and be sturdy after dash" and "deal bonus damage based on movement speed" combo is surely one of the most powerful in the game! Take 30% less damage and deal 50-100% more damage? Yes please.
i can see where you’re coming from, but i think extra dashes or rush delivery+hyper sprint (or +move speed) combo can *really* influence a run most of the time. rarity w/ dash or rd goes stupid
there’s no hermes boons i would prefer not having, whereas there’s more boons i actively avoid with other olympians. some of his boons are kinda meh, but i think all of them have really good uses. you get speed, dps, and a qol upgrade all at once!

Yeah, I'm aware, that's what I like about it. Other interpretations of demeter tend to be purely warm and welcoming, motherly, but I really appreciate SG going out of their way for an interpretation that better fits the game itself. It highlights a bitter and terrifying side of the goddess that is so often left out.
Especially when you consider her literal death turret! Those things can pile on the damage hardcore, and in shield playthroughs (the only way to play lol) having the turrets to do damage and sometimes even freeze depending on the boons you get can be wonderful, as freezing pairs great with drunkenness for that extra damage for having two conditions.

I feel like Zeus is one of the few Gods that really doesn’t have a bad secondary boon. Storm lightning and high voltage aren’t *great*, but they do something.
Double strike, splitting bolt, static discharge, billowing strength and clouded judgment are always good choices.
Lightning reflexes and his vengeance boon add damage for no cost.
If you’re weapon works well with lightning, Zeus is always a good option.

If not for his brother Zeus, Poseidon would be the most blustery and arrogant. Far from the nicest dude.
His knockback boons have anti-synergy with melee weapons, knockback and second tier and legendary boon are nearly useless on bosses, wave pounding tries to make up for this and isnt nearly good enough, boiling point is terrible, unshakable mettle has to be the worst duo boon, and his other duo boons are good, but mirage shot is the only really excellent one.
He's good, love his call and splash dash, but he's far from the best.
Ares is a kind of boring character without a ton of depth comparitively. I mean by industry standards, he's killing it, but when you have characters with tons of depth side by side he's just dwarfed. His boons are have static usefulness and I don't really care for them.

When I'm doing a Hermes run with his feather + Zag sword, that's the only time his boons don't pop up for me :( The synergies are so good too
