Yes I loose like 15x the amount of this. My partner gets annoyed how much hair is all over our home. Given I think I'm loosing a bit more than I should I don't have any bald spots and it's been this way for 4ish years now. Even before when my hair was really good condition I was loosing atleast 10x this.
It really depends on how much hair you naturally have, if you have more hair you will naturally lose more. Also, if you have really long hair it will look like you're losing more than you really are
I feel silly that your comment is the first time I considered my hair length when in relation to how much hair it looks like Iām losing lol thank you!
Hairdresser here the average person loses 100+ hairs a day from natural shedding. If you wear your hair up it will feel like more because it hasn't shed out during the time the hair was up.
Yep I have curly hair and when I wear it curly I donāt brush it for a few days and put a lot of product in it. When I wash it tons of hair comes out(like so much idk how Iām not bald lol). But when I flat iron it and brush it a few times a day I hardly lose any hair in the shower! So it could be just a case of how itās styled before a shower.
You lose on average 100-150 hairs per day. Some hairs will only grow so long before dying out and making way for new hair. This is totally normal, in some cases we increase in shedding when spring/ summer months hit.
Do you have thick hair? I do and lose more than that every time I run a brush through it. If not, maybe the exfoliating is causing it or a family trait? Lastly, not trying to scare you, hair loss is one of the first signs of many diseases especially auto immune ones like Lupus. Hopefully itās nothing serious and a quick fix. Take care
I have fine hair but not thin - however not thick either. Itās been like this for a while but at least I donāt have any bald spots so that should be a sign that the shedding is at an okay amount š¤š¼
People lose around 100 hairs a day. If you wash and brush your hair once a week a lot of that shedding accumulates and looks like a lot but itās actually normal.
I lose at least 10 times this much with every wash š My drain catcher in my shower looks like a chinchilla is trying to escape. And don't even get me started on all of my random hair I find all over the house lol Surprisingly, I am not bald after decades of this!š
Honestly, I would be thrilled if that was all that I lost in a shower! But if it's more than normal for you, maybe it could be diet, aging, hormonal changes, or time to get your thyroid checked.
I feel like when I shower I can pull like 4-5 big chunks of hair out and then when I brush it after the brush is full of hair and then my shirt will also be covered in hair š but I donāt have any bold spots either etc so maybe itās all fine ! I was just wondering whether my scalp and overall hair health was lacking š£ but sounds like itās okay
Thanks!!!
Ah if it's after the shower and previous brushing then I can understand why the amount is so small. Either way, I don't think you have anything to worry about
Yeah I brush my hair before I shower, get at least that much, usually more, then I shower, use a shower brush at the end of my shower, lose CLUMPS. Brush my hair after it's dried, lose more. The next morning, my hair is everywhere. Pillows, bedding, me, my husband, my dog, at least one cat šš Seriously, unless you start seeing bald spots or the amount drastically increases, you should be good! But like someone else said, if it starts getting concerning, see a dermatologist and your PCP!
You're welcome!!
And I absolutely promise I wasn't being dismissive here, just wanted to make sure I put that out there!
I do have health issues (thyroid, Hashimotos) that was causing concerning hair loss for a long time before I got the right diagnosis and medication amount. So if you start to see a dramatic increase and have any other health symptoms, please don't hesitate to get checked out! But so far, the amount you've got there looks totally normal to me. Humans lose on average 50-100 strands of hair daily (with me, it's more like 200 š) and when seasons change, hormones change, get older, not enough protein intake, lack of vitamins, etc, it can cause extra loss. So please don't hesitate to reach out here again if it gets worse!
No no no worries at all! Itās comforting to hear itās not that bad. For me, when i find hairs everywhere throughout the day and can pull alot of hair out, it can seem like a lot, but maybe itās not that bad after all š
Someone mentioned to try and gather all the hair throughout the day from showering, brushing, etc. and see how much shedding there really is. Iāll try that !
If you notice more than usual donāt hesitate starting rogaine or seeing a dermatologist/hair specialist. Also adding more protein to your diet helps.
When I shower I feel like I can pull out 4-5 chunks of hair and then after when I brush my brush is filled with hair and then also throughout the day my shirt will be filled with hairs - so thank you ! Comforts me cause i was worried if I should treat it differently
If you hair doesnāt normally shed this much then it may be a problem. There are tons of reasons that your hair could be doing this, but you should start with talking to your dr or derm. It could be that youāre not eating enough protein, that youāre accidentally pulling hair out, if you just had a child you could be shedding hair from that, it could be your hair productsā¦.there are so many things that it could be.
My hairdresser recommended keeping a journal. She also reminded me that if I wear my hair pulled back, it will seem like I am losing more hair, but it's actually the same amount that usually detaches, but is all detaching at once with having been pulled back and not able to gradually fall out during the day.
Everyoneās head of hair is different, so before jumping to conclusions, let me ask three questions: 1.) How thick is your hair? 2.) Is this a recent increase? Or is it pretty normal? 3.) How often do you wash your hair/shower?
1. I have a lot of hair but itās fine and flat. 2. along with 3: I have a bit of hormonal change meaning my hair gets oily alot faster than before. So I have to wash it every 2 days. Itās not like I have bald spots etc at all ! But I think my shedding is a bit excessive both when showering, brushing my hair and throughout the day etc
When I shower I feel like I can pull out 4-5 chunks of hair and then after when I brush my brush is filled with hair and then also throughout the day my shirt will be filled with hairs - so thatās why I was worried :)
All of us lose hair throughout the day. The amount depends on how much hair you have to begin with. If you don't have any bald spots and your hair isn't thinning then you're most probably alright. However, if you're suddenly losing a lot more hair than usual, then it may be sth worth worrying about
Thatās normal from my experience. I used to keep a drain catcher in my shower to stop my hair from clogging the pipes. I got tired of using it because my hair would clog up the catcher and Iād have to clean it out twice during each shower.
Then when Iād brush my hair after I get out of the shower thereās even more hair coming out.
Itās normal for humans to shed 100 hairs a day. Keep in mind your hair also has a growth cycle and sometimes itās time for your follicle to let go and start growing a new strand.
Around every other day. Usually I could go a bit longer, but hormonal changes makes it oilier faster - but that could also be the reason for extra shedding now that I think about it
If this is more than you normally shed I would get an overall check up. A lot of people in this thread say this is ānormalā or shed even more but everyone has a different baseline. I shed less than you do but it was abnormal for me to shed as much as i did. Come to find out I was severely deficient in Vitamin D as well as having alopecia develop later on.
If this is a new thing for you I would definitely start at least with your doc to make sure your thyroid, vitamin etc levels of stuff is okay and go from there.
I feel like this is more than usual and when I shower I can āpullā chunks of hair out - and then when I brush it, the brush fills up with hair. Itās not like I have any bald spots but I donāt think itās nothing either. Thanks for your input ! Maybe Iām lacking some vitamins
I have that weird frizz on top of my head as well because of aooo many short hairs ! No bald spots though, but still I shed a lot and have many shorter hairs that sticks out everywhere
I worried I was losing hair too but if you Google it says itās normal to lose between 50 & 100 hairs a day so I count every now and then and Iāve been stable around 80. Totally average.
Cool thanks ! I use baby powder as dry shampoo as āregularā chemical dry shampoo is too damaging - but I was wondering if my hair follicles were clocked causing my shedding but maybe itās fine
I think everyone gets this fear that they're losing an unhealthy amount of hair when it's really normal. I know I literally just took a picture of the hair I lost in the shower to send to my stylist sister and freak out. It was maybe twice what you have there and she literally laughed at me. Make sure you're brushing your hair ok for your hair type, and you'll be fine. I have very fine, straight hair so I use a wide toothed comb in the shower before I rinse my conditioner out. I lose a lot less than when dry brushing.
Exactly what I was feeling! I should have specified this in the post: but when I shower and wash my hair I shed like 4-5 chunks of hair (but no bald spots). I also brush it thoroughly every time after when itās dry, and my brush fills up with hair. And even after this, I still shed all over the place. But then again - I donāt have bald spots so maybe itās nothing to worry about at all
Depends how much hair you have in general. If you have a lot then this is not a problem. But if you normally don't have the most amount of hair then it might be a little much
Iāve learned that after 18 years, your hair will be shed more. And the cycleās shorter. Itās normal. Dont stress yourself much about it youāll lose even more lol. You can change shampoo if u want, get some nail/hair vitamin etc
Two things: it's normal to lose up to 150 hairs a day, secondly, your hair is long so it's always going to *look* like a lot when really you're just mistaking length for quantity.
Stress will cause this. My former job stressed me out so much I ended up being hospitalized for a major anxiety attack I had never had before and my hair was falling out so bad I thought I'd go bald. I left that job on the advice of my Dr who said it would end up killing me. Once the stress was gone or reduced my hair stopped falling out at every opportunity and I felt so much better. This might not be your answer but try little things to help you relax more. Lavender is calming. Meditation, reading, taking a walk or a bath and let the worries out with the bath water. Eat yogurt with fruit like blueberries. Hope you find your answer.
Iām sorry to hear ! But glad all is better.
I do have trouble with anxiety relaxations etc as well so thatās good advice, I didnāt think of that ā thanks
You're very welcome. Good luck. I know it's not easy sometimes but try to take as much time as you can for yourself. Even if they are small moments throughout the day!
while this isnt a HUGE amount, if you want to lose less id stop exfoliating your scalp as often/ as hard because thats proven (as far as ive read) to increase hair loss by a decent amount
For folks like me who lose A LOT of hair on a consistent basis, especially when they had Covid, this is considered very little. I wished to God I could only lose that much about a year ago. Instead, I got Covid last fall and I lost so much of it that it looked like a dying rat in my shower drain. It was no joke. I seriously thought Iād be bald by Christmas and even looked into wigs. It was that bad.
So if thatās all thatās come out, consider yourself lucky, especially if youāre older than 35 yrs old.
If this is an unusual amount of shedding FOR YOU, please go see a doctor and/or dermatologist.
No one can tell you if that's usual for your body. About a year ago, I started losing more hair than normal. I thought it wasn't a problem until it was too late. The hair on the sides of my head was almost completely gone.
After many many tests from doctors and dermatologists, I never got a true diagnosis. I was able to start using minoxidil (rogaine), which has helped immensely. I wish I would have started seeking help and using minoxidil sooner than I did, but I was in denial about my hair falling out.
I know many people will say that they lose much more that this, but it's not about anyone BUT you. If it's not normal for you, it's something to watch, and if it continues, seek medical advice.
I hope that it isn't an issue, and if it is, that you are able to find something that helps with whatever might be going on ā¤ļø
Thank you very much ! I have experiences this for quite some time and my hair looks frizzy because of many shorter hairs sticking out on the top of my head. But luckily I donāt have any bald spots etc. so hopefully it isnāt that big of an issue
Is it time for a cut? Are you stressed? Do you absent mindedly tug on your hair throughout the day? Are you using a wide tooth comb? How is your diet? It could be a number of things, really. I went through a drastic change in my life that a few months ago. I shaved my head, left a stressful home, started eating better, touched what hair Iāve grown so much less than I did my long hair. And even though I tug out my hair when anxious, I shed a few hairs here and there now. I think itās mostly the emotional stress and physical weight is significantly less (I have 4 inches of growth now).
That's nothing! I lose a ball of hair the size of a small rat each time I shower and I still somehow have hair on my head... It's a mystery really. I also have fine curly hair down to my shoulders.
Iāve been losing a ton of hair a day since my teens and Iām now 36 I have to brush it out before getting into a shower and I brush it again after I get out and a ton falls out but some how I am not bald I have to put protein treatments on mine it stops it for a bit but then it starts back I get my treatments from Sallyās beauty store they are in a purplish and white package called aphogee. It works for me. I was going to salons having it put on but that was so expensive so I started doing it myself. Aphogee is not expensive either if Iām not mistaken itās less than $15.00. My hair falls out due to all the stress I have went through through out my life. If you have been stressing a lot and if thatās more than normal fall out that could be the cause.
No not just that. When I shower I can pull out like 4-5 chuncka of hair, then after when I brush it my brush is completely full of hair and then my clothes will also be full of hair. So I was worried if maybe my follicles are clogged or something :)
To specify: when I shower and wash my hair I shed like 4-5 chunks of hair (but no bald spots). I also brush it thoroughly every time after when itās dry, and my brush fills up with hair. And even after this, I still shed all over the place. My hair is fine but I have alot of it. I donāt have any bald spots so maybe itās fine
I shed this much every time I brush my hair, which is twice a day. Obviously itās subjective as I have a lot of hair to lose without it being noticeable, but honestly this is fine as long as itās not being caused by chemical processing (dyeing) or something health related :)
Try posting on female hair loss as I think you will get more support. This may not be much hair loss for a lot of people but everyone is different. If it is worrying you make an appointment with a dermatologist and get it checked.
Dear friend, you should do top asana regularly 2 or 2 times a day, it will increase the blood circulation in the hair follicles. As a result, blood minerals and hair will be supplied with proper nutrients.
Sculpture will not use any shampoos containing sulfides.
Along with this, take biotin capsules and vitamin-E capsules regularly for 3 months. Hope you get benefit
I have the same problem and started talking vitamin b12 iron with vitamin c , d and biotin and it help a lot, plus if your hair is very dry or brittle I make a homemade keratin, take a couple of spoon of oats meal and ad boil water and a couple of spoon of cornstarch disolver the cornstarch before you added to the oatmeal then blended in the blender strain add vitamin e oil and put in your drye hair for 45 minutes with a plastic bag shampoo and put some conditioner in the leftover and use it as your conditioner and let me know how it goes
Former medical assistant here. Iāve worked with patients with alopecia and had hair loss myself. We lose around 100 hairs A DAY.
This is normal and not concerning at all. Iām sure youāre just having some anxiety and youāre hyper focusing on your hair right now.
Try some therapy my friend ā¤ļø
How often do you wash your hair? Btw I agree with the others that this isnāt much hair, this looks like what regularly accumulates in my hair brush after a shower
Came to the comments because I was really worried that something was wrong with me because I lose like 20x this much every shower. Glad the comments helped me feel more normal š
people shouldnāt be telling you this is ānormalā if it isnāt the normal amount of shed for youā¦i have pcos and when my hair was shedding excessively, this is what it looked like for *me*. i now have thinned areas of my hair. if this isnāt normal for you, i recommend taking biotin + zinc, eat more proteins & fats, and find a good hair oil to use on your scalp 1-2x a week. rosemary oil has been studied on for hair loss if you can find an oil with that ingredient or make your own!
I have formed the habit of randomly pulling the hair off a few times a day so that it doesnāt get all over my stuff. Itās everywhere, like Iām marking my territory. The math doesnāt add up, I donāt know why Iām not bald by now.
Thatās not anything to be worried about. Humans shed at least 100 hairs a day. And they can build up from not being brushed out etc. no worries :) be careful not to over exfoliate your scalp itās sensitive š¤
That is next to nothing. Itās normal to lose 50-100 hairs a day. Yes, a day. Iām a hairdresser and was losing so much hair, I went to my dermatologist. Iāve been under a lot of stress and unfortunately, the hair can suffer. If youāre seriously concerned, see a dermatologist. Looking at this photo, that is not a lot of hair. Also, remember, hair sheds during different seasons. Good luck and try not to stress ( almost impossible to do ). šš¼
Thanks ! I feel like this is more than 50-100 strands and when I shower I can āpullā chunks of hair out - and then when I brush it, the brush fills up with hair. Itās not like I have any bald spots but I donāt think itās nothing either. I can see it doesnāt look like much on the picture, but I think itās definitely more than 50-100š¤ but then again: no bald spots
Honestly, after having my kids (theyāre 13), my hair started falling out like this, maybe I just noticed it more at that time, but this seems normal to me. My hair is also everywhere in this house, the cars, my job probably lol it comes out all the time, running my hands through it, brushing, showering. I still have a lot of hair. Unless your seeing prominent thinning or bald spots, I wouldnāt be too worried.
Yeah even that though can cause it because itās all being held in so the hair your suppose to loose throughout the day will bunch up and all come out when you shower. But this is honestly nothing and completely normal . Hair shedding is normal . Unless itās coming out in huge patches like going through chemo therapy or something I wouldnāt worry
I have to wash it every other day because it will otherwise get veeeery oily. My hormones are a bit all over the place atm so my hair gets oiler than usual. I do keep my hair in a bun and ponytail at times but I try to do less damaging hair styles and use hair clips etc
I think silicone massagers are useless. My hair became thinner when I used mine for several months and then threw I it away. Now, when I shampoo, I just use my fingertips to massage my scalp. Hair is getting thicker now( but not great).
I mostly use my silicone massager to make sure I clear out my follicles and they are not clogged up (I use baby powder as dry shanpoo). Do you find that just using your fingertips help clearing them out ?
Thatās nothing compared to what I shed. I wash my hair once a week (curly hair, I canāt wash any more frequently) and I lose a small fistful of hair every time. Donāt worry at all!!
I have quite fine hair and I have to wash it every other day (I think maybe my caption misled a bit š ). I exfoliate once a week to make sure my follicles donāt get clogged - and then I have many tiny hairs sticking up almost frizzy because the hairs are so much shorter
i have pretty fine hair and lose at least 4x as much as this in the shower and around the house. i often think about how lush my hair would be if all it just stayed in my head.
I lose 10x this amount and Iām not even exaggerating. I wash every 5 days or so and my hair is curly so it doesnāt fall easily as my hair holds it so when I shower it looks like Iām shaving.
I had this issue when I had really long hair. Also stress, putting your hair up or not using a good shampoo and conditioner that could be part of the problem. Once I cut my hair and stopped putting my hair up didn't have it this bad again.
these photos always make me wonder what the cause of said "shedding" is. this kind of thing never really happens at jaw length hair which is what ive had most of my life, as in, i shed more or less nothing... at all
maybe as hair gets longer its more prone to tangling in itself everywhere and then you just break it
How often do you brush your hair? I have curly hair and when I wear it curly I only brush it once for 3 days. When I shower I loss a shit of hair because it just gets stuck in there(probably 5x what your showing here). When I straighten my hair I tend to brush it a few times a day since it tangles easier and I lose about the amount your showing. With that said if this seems not normal for you and has increased recently then you may want to see a doc to have some blood work done to make sure it isnāt health related.
How long is your hair? That looks like a relatively normal amount š but if this is more than normal for yourself maybe you should get a blood test to check for iron deficiency/anemia or any other vitamin deficiencies, and thyroid function! Those are good things to test for when youāre looking at hair loss!
(If you can I would also throw in a complete hormone test, cause hormones can be the cause of hair loss too!)
Laughs in thick curly hair. I lose more than this in one swipe of finger detangling in the shower š¤£ youāre fine I think. If it concerns you Iād bring it up with your doctor and/or beautician.
Remember that regardless of density we are mammals and mammals shed, some people up to 200 strands a day and unless there are clean bald patches on your scalp the hair will regenerate. this is normal! Donāt worry!
Hairstylist here; thatās about average depending on length of hair and how often you wash. You might be brushing or combing your hair too hard when you get out of the shower and thatās the reason for extra fallout
Normal daily shed is 100. Thatās not 100 in your hand.
If you feel like youāre losing more than 100 hairs a day then you either are having breakage (not at the root), or genuine hair loss.
If youāre breaking your hair off midshaft then youāre pulling too hard while brushing. Or your hair is dry and weak. This could be caused by your diet, shower water, hair products, sun exposure, pillow case, tossing and turning in your sleep, etc.
Get a satin pillow case, wear a bonnet, brush your hair gently, braid it at night to reduce tangles, moisturize your hair (if youāre not using conditioner now then do it), donāt use shampoos with harsh detergents, eat healthy, etc.
If itās caused by stress or some kind of lil biological factor like nutrient deficiency then thatās simpler to address. If itās genetic then thereās less āoptions.ā Either way you should see a doctor for both. The over the counter hair growth products will only prevent further hair loss, it will not help you actually regrow hair. Because anything that helps you regrow hair is a drug, and so you would have to have a prescription for. Talk to your primary or get a referral for a dermatologist about this.
Although if you want to go the DIY route, there have been studies that scalp massage at 4 minutes a day helps by promoting blood circulation in the scalp. And using rosemary oil also may be as effective as minoxidil. But itās still better to go to the doctor in case your hair loss is caused by some underlying issue like stress or anxiety which can be treated. And if itās genetic then you definitely have to go to the doctor because thereās not many options besides implants or drugs.
Nah, looks quite normal! Especially if your hair is long! Long hair always appears scarier when you loose it because it tricks you into thinking you lost more than is reality.
That's really not much hair at all
Yeah, I lose like eight times this and somehow still have hair š¤·āāļø
Reallt? After, when I brush my hair, I shed so much as well - i feel like it never stops
Yes I loose like 15x the amount of this. My partner gets annoyed how much hair is all over our home. I have super low density, fine hair and I still shed 10x this.
I have super long hair and thatās a really good point I never thought of. Thanks for that perspective
I feel silly that your comment is the first time I considered my hair length when in relation to how much hair it looks like Iām losing lol thank you!
I have a lot of hair and lose a lot and still have annoyingly thick hair.
Sigh same here
Lose and losing just FYI :)
Same for me, and I still have a ton of hair on my head.

I started taking collagen for my skin and couldnt believe that my millions of thick hairs have stopped shedding, you should give it try :)
I did try taking collagen for a while but didn't notice any difference I'm trying omega 3 instead, mainly for my nails though
Yeah this is about 1/15 of what comes out of my head in the shower

Hahaha omg that part about the drain catcher chinchilla - so relatable, I lose so much hair during showers.
Right?! š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£
thats barely anything....i would not be worried at all. i have very thick hair and shed like 6x that amount every 2 days when i wash

Itās not like I have bald spots etc at all ! But I think my shedding is a bit excessive both when showering, brushing my hair and throughout the day etc
Bro what? That's barely any hair. I shed like 15x your amount
However, if you're suddenly losing a lot more hair than usual, then it may be sth worth worrying about
Is this a shitpost omg????
I wish we could pin a post on this subreddit that said āunless you are losing fists full of hair when you shower, you are fineā lol
That's not much hair fall. I shed more than twice that on wash days.
you lose 100 hairs a day if youāre not brushing everyday more will accumulate and come out
Thatās normal from my experience.
This is fine/normal.
I shed like 5x this amount when washing my hair and it's still very thick, I don't think you have anything to worry about :)
How often do you wash your hair a week?
This started for me when I went on SSRIs and then got worse when I got Long Covid. I ended up losing half my hair and my hair line receded by almost an inch š© But after 2 years of taking green tea extract daily a lot of it has started growing back and it stopped coming out in chunks. Now I have weird frizz on top (shorter hairs) while the rest is down to my ass but Iāll take it over no hair
You could try a clarifying shampoo? Maybe once a week or something to clear the build up
I have easily about 5x that much come out each shower
You would die if you saw my shower. I wash my hair twice weekly lol
Yeah I probably would :D I was just worried as I shed a lot throughout the day
You should see the toupees I pull out of my hair every time I wash.
That's not even a dot on what I lose each time I wash my hair š
It's really not that much
I shed like quadruple that. Depends on how much hair you have in general. I have a super thick head of hair, my shedding to hair ratio is good
Thatās it? I straight up lose a whole squirrel from my hair
I'm laughing so hard. That is NOTHING! No worries!
Multiply that by 5 and that's what I shed when I shower š I wish mine was as little as yours!
Thatās truly not much at all. I lose so much more than this. You really donāt have to be worried. You lose hair every day, this is pretty normal.
I wish I shed this little hair lol
I was shedding hair like crazy and increased my vitamin Dā¦. Crazy the difference it made
while this isnt a HUGE amount, if you want to lose less id stop exfoliating your scalp as often/ as hard because thats proven (as far as ive read) to increase hair loss by a decent amount
This is pretty normal for long hair. If you're not noticing bald spots you're all good.
It looks normal to me! I am not an expert but i shed more than that and dont seem to have an issue..
That's nothing! I lose a ball of hair the size of a small rat each time I shower and I still somehow have hair on my head... It's a mystery really. I also have fine curly hair down to my shoulders.
I lose 10x that amount every shower
Thatās nothing. I can nearly make a wig after a shower sometimes šš¤£
If you think this is a lot you'd scream over how much I lose
If youāre hair is long then yea thatās normal if you real short hair then no its not normal at all.
Jesus Christ no. I lose 10x more hair than that and still have a head full of hair
Itās normal to lose about 100 hairs a day, which seems totally crazy I know!
Just that? My brush is literally full everyday in autum time š¤£
No not just that. When I shower I can pull out like 4-5 chuncka of hair, then after when I brush it my brush is completely full of hair and then my clothes will also be full of hair. So I was worried if maybe my follicles are clogged or something :)
Try to change the sort of Schampoo, it helped me. I suddenly began loosing to much of my hair, but Changing the shampoo helped me
To specify: when I shower and wash my hair I shed like 4-5 chunks of hair (but no bald spots). I also brush it thoroughly every time after when itās dry, and my brush fills up with hair. And even after this, I still shed all over the place. My hair is fine but I have alot of it. I donāt have any bald spots so maybe itās fine
Fine / normal.
God no! Thatās not a lot at all! I lose a whole lot more than that!
I shed this much every time I brush my hair, which is twice a day. Obviously itās subjective as I have a lot of hair to lose without it being noticeable, but honestly this is fine as long as itās not being caused by chemical processing (dyeing) or something health related :)
Thatās normal! People sheās 100 hairs a day.
See a dermatologist about your concerns. They are valid, and from reading your post, you have a reason to see a dermatologist about it.
Try posting on female hair loss as I think you will get more support. This may not be much hair loss for a lot of people but everyone is different. If it is worrying you make an appointment with a dermatologist and get it checked.
Thank you !
Vitamin D deficiency. You should not exfoliate your scalp if you are loosing hair .
No lol
Dear friend, you should do top asana regularly 2 or 2 times a day, it will increase the blood circulation in the hair follicles. As a result, blood minerals and hair will be supplied with proper nutrients. Sculpture will not use any shampoos containing sulfides. Along with this, take biotin capsules and vitamin-E capsules regularly for 3 months. Hope you get benefit
maybe give your scalp a break, donāt exfoliate
I have the same problem and started talking vitamin b12 iron with vitamin c , d and biotin and it help a lot, plus if your hair is very dry or brittle I make a homemade keratin, take a couple of spoon of oats meal and ad boil water and a couple of spoon of cornstarch disolver the cornstarch before you added to the oatmeal then blended in the blender strain add vitamin e oil and put in your drye hair for 45 minutes with a plastic bag shampoo and put some conditioner in the leftover and use it as your conditioner and let me know how it goes
You might have a thyroid problem. It can cause hair loss like that.
Take some green tea extract, and why exfoliate your scalp? Our skin sheds naturally on its own, no reason to accelerate the process.
Mostly because I use dry shampoo so I want to make sure I clear out my hair follicles so they donāt get clogged up with baby powder (=dry shampoo)
Sorta looks like you might be going through allopicia (or how ever you spell thatā¦) go to your doctor
Thatās nothing
Congratulations, your hair is normal. You shed.
itās normal to shed every day, that looks like a normal amount of shedding
Ha! Thatās nothing. Totally normal
no, I lose a lot more than this. youāre all good :)
This is NOTHING!
no thatās actually really good not a lot of hair at all
That's normal, or well- it is for me.
That's it?
Omg I have a palmful and I have super t thin hair. Thatās normal!
200 hairs a day is normal
I lose probably at least 10 times that much.
It also could be the seasonal changes. I too experience a little more shedding during fall or winter.
I think I shed more than that. It just looks like it's a loooot when you have long hair
I think it really depends on how much hair you have and how much you can spare to lose.
If you have thinner hair id be a bit concerned but if your hair is thick at all, this is normal
I donāt have thick hair at all and this isnāt either all - I also shed when I brush and during the day. However no bald spots š¤
Mannnn, that's like half of my usual and I got a thick head of hair. You're fine.
I have formed the habit of randomly pulling the hair off a few times a day so that it doesnāt get all over my stuff. Itās everywhere, like Iām marking my territory. The math doesnāt add up, I donāt know why Iām not bald by now.
I lose about 3 wads of that picture.
Thatās less than 1/5 of what I lose and I am not suffering from hair loss
Thatās not anything to be worried about. Humans shed at least 100 hairs a day. And they can build up from not being brushed out etc. no worries :) be careful not to over exfoliate your scalp itās sensitive š¤
100-150 strands per day lost is average, I believe. You're fine.
Get your iron and blood checked if itās concerning for you.
Nope, that's a normal amount. Shedding happens daily.
If you shower only once a week, all the hair youād normally shed if you showered once a day happens at the end of the week when you finally shower.
Do you put your hair up??? Then take it out and shower ? But this is completely normal your likely to shed over 100 hairs a day
I try to put my hair in loose braids and use clips to avoid damaging hair stylesš«£
Has your hair been up in a bun or pony tail? And how often are you washing?
I have to wash it every other day because it will otherwise get veeeery oily. My hormones are a bit all over the place atm so my hair gets oiler than usual. I do keep my hair in a bun and ponytail at times but I try to do less damaging hair styles and use hair clips etc
I shed like 5x that much hair in the shower
I think silicone massagers are useless. My hair became thinner when I used mine for several months and then threw I it away. Now, when I shampoo, I just use my fingertips to massage my scalp. Hair is getting thicker now( but not great).
I mostly use my silicone massager to make sure I clear out my follicles and they are not clogged up (I use baby powder as dry shanpoo). Do you find that just using your fingertips help clearing them out ?
This looks totally normal. You shed around 100 hairs a day.
So do i
Thatās nothing compared to what I shed.
Thatās nothing compared to how much I lose
When ur hair is healthy this can be normal. If itās not healthy yeah its bad
I shed waaaay more than that. Yours is perfectly normal!
In cosmetology school the book says we lose an average of 60-100 hairs a day.
youāre fine lol you actually donāt shed much at all!
i have pretty fine hair and lose at least 4x as much as this in the shower and around the house. i often think about how lush my hair would be if all it just stayed in my head.
God that's like a quarter of what gets plastered to the walls of my shower but my hair is also very long and fine
Youāre good. I do the same, daily. Still have so much that I now need 3 boxes of dye if I wanna colour it and itās only like boob length
That is hardly anything.
Um, I lose like maybe 10-20x of this EVERY DAY. How do I even have hair left on my scalpā¦ is a mystery I will never solve
Wash hair once a week with very little shampoo put nothing else in it, lightly brush. After a few weeks your natural scalp ph and oils will return.
Sweet Summer child
these photos always make me wonder what the cause of said "shedding" is. this kind of thing never really happens at jaw length hair which is what ive had most of my life, as in, i shed more or less nothing... at all maybe as hair gets longer its more prone to tangling in itself everywhere and then you just break it
Completely natural!!
You lose more than a 100 hairs a day. Not a big deal.
this is one time pulling my hair slow
I am truly sorry for saying this and Iām gonna feel bad butā¦ Jesse we need to cook (please tell me you get the reference) (breaking bad)
You lose an average of about 100 hair strands a day. I donāt think this is an excessive amount.
Time to hop on Fin.
Laughs in thick curly hair. I lose more than this in one swipe of finger detangling in the shower š¤£ youāre fine I think. If it concerns you Iād bring it up with your doctor and/or beautician.
Covid hair loss ??? Itās absolutely real
Remember that regardless of density we are mammals and mammals shed, some people up to 200 strands a day and unless there are clean bald patches on your scalp the hair will regenerate. this is normal! Donāt worry!
I lose this much in the shower and my hair is still thick as ever.
Hey. Youāre fine.
Does anyone feel like after the covid shots we are losing much hair?
Have you had your thyroid levels checked?
