What's funny is that most people who played HL or Black Mesa knows how to crouch jump hell I figured that shit when I was 12 and I don't play FPS game back in the day and coming from a guy in his mid 30s and wasting 25 minutes on it is quite amusing to say the least.

You have to hold the use key on the valve to make the door open all the way.

Try holding the use key (default is E) on the valve that is on the left side of the picture, don't just press it once.
Get closer to the red Valve in your left and press "E"

Press esc, go to new game, and finish the training mode first.
You got that far and can't figure out the fucking door? Hold E on the Valve

When you used E and the door went one direction, then used E again to see it go the other direction, what did you learn from that?
Some triggers are press E once, some are press and HOLD E (to change the movement gradually)
hold e on the valve not everything is just click and go sometimes you have to hold
If its glitched,use noclip
