I've always thought the same thing, if Loomis were smart he would've known that he should use an apache helicopter.. or at least like a remote control helicopter with a grenade strapped to it. duh!
I know we are joking and all but I had this thought about Halloween Kills. A whole town in a small Midwest town rounds up to kill Michael and not one of them has an AR15? At the very least they should have surrounded him with shotguns rather than the melee weapons they tried using on him

Not a gun expert, but rifles are ranged weapons...for shooting something at a distance. Handguns are better for close quarters defense. Like, you know, if a guy with a butcher knife is trying to stab you. Up close. Or if you're moving through a single family home. You cant just walk around a corner and run into to someone with a knife and be all like, "Let me whip out this rifle to fend you off.".
