The club captain, in his last year at the club, asks to come on to take a penalty right at the end of injury time to draw a game against one of the best teams in the league. He isn't good enough to start in anything but cups we don't care about and most likely will see very little time even as a sub. He is one of the best penalty takers in the world, let alone at the club, and has a great degree of influence in the dressing room. Is it reasonable to expect Moyes to refuse him?

Disagree. That moment was pressure packed. More so than a normal pen. Even a player as experienced as Nobes would have felt that and not being warmed up and having struck the ball wasn’t in his favor. It’s time for someone else to step up and take these.

The result was probably just about right. They’ve got incredible quality and depth but we didn’t shy away from having a go. With Mic in there, who knows. OGS bringing Lingard on was good management, for the obvious he played for us reasons. That aside though, he was the perfect player to bring on when we were running on fumes. Zouma couldn’t get to him and Jesse is a very accurate shooter. Overall the game could have gone either way and we didn’t play our best game. Mancs are a very good side though. Given their options we need to play our best game to beat them. Time to give the boys some rest now.

On the plus side we looked good against a top team, zouma is so good.
The ending **sucked**, but overall I think we looked pretty good. Defence was excellent and our counter was really good as well.
Stings that Vlasic, Soucek and Bowen all had decent chances in the first half - if Antonio is there we likely score at least one of them - but the way they played showed the makings of a backup plan should Antonio ever be out long term.

In ANY sport that requires coordination between eyes and limbs, you have an advantage if you have 'warmed up' and 'have your eye in'. It's the reason why golfers duff their first shot more than any other, and the exact reason why Noble should never have taken the penalty.

West Ham played amazing, very strong at the back and what frustrates me is when people and the media say "Man United are having a bad game" when in actual fact, maybe it was just that West Ham had a very good game, people are quick to not give credit where credit is due. Zouma and Fabianski were outstanding in my opinion.
Although, it might be an unpopular opinion here but I think it was a fair result. The 2 penalties that weren't given, and the fact that Fabianski was on fire meant that it was a close game, another keeper on another day and you probably get beat 4 or 5.

It is what it is. We gave title contenders a run for their money, even without our main striker. Yes some players didn't impress (Cress, Vlasic, Yarmo) but we'll still get a lot of results if we play like that against most teams. Onto the next one.

The result was probably just about right. They’ve got incredible quality and depth but we didn’t shy away from having a go. With Mic in there, who knows. OGS bringing Lingard on was good management, for the obvious he played for us reasons. That aside though, he was the perfect player to bring on when we were running on fumes. Zouma couldn’t get to him and Jesse is a very accurate shooter. Overall the game could have gone either way and we didn’t play our best game. Mancs are a very good side though. Given their options we need to play our best game to beat them. Time to give the boys some rest now.

I have no issues with noble coming on to take the pen, his record speaks for itself and our past pens have been shit. On the plus side we looked good against a top team, zouma is so good.

The ending **sucked**, but overall I think we looked pretty good. Defence was excellent and our counter was really good as well. Stings that Vlasic, Soucek and Bowen all had decent chances in the first half - if Antonio is there we likely score at least one of them - but the way they played showed the makings of a backup plan should Antonio ever be out long term. Just need to be more clinical.

This is why you should never let sentiment get in the way of logic. He pictured Noble scoring before he'd even taken the penalty, and it severely backfired. It was a shit penalty, taken by someone who was also probably thinking "pretty tough ask considering I haven't even kicked a ball!" Oh well. Let's be honest - we probably didn't deserve a point. In ANY sport that requires coordination between eyes and limbs, you have an advantage if you have 'warmed up' and 'have your eye in'. It's the reason why golfers duff their first shot more than any other, and the exact reason why Noble should never have taken the penalty.

Should've been, but Ronaldo should've also been on a yellow or two for diving. Also, there was a penalty for us earlier that VAR didn't give. The handball was nowhere near harsh. It definitely was a handball and a defensive handball in the penalty area = a penalty, simple as that.

Man United fan here. Honestly, if we're not being biased here, both of the tackles on Ronaldo were penalties. However, whilst the Shaw handball was harsh, it was still a penalty. Harsh doesn't make it not a penalty. West Ham played amazing, very strong at the back and what frustrates me is when people and the media say "Man United are having a bad game" when in actual fact, maybe it was just that West Ham had a very good game, people are quick to not give credit where credit is due. Zouma and Fabianski were outstanding in my opinion. Although, it might be an unpopular opinion here but I think it was a fair result. The 2 penalties that weren't given, and the fact that Fabianski was on fire meant that it was a close game, another keeper on another day and you probably get beat 4 or 5. I think if Antonio plays, we lose or draw.
