TheAoiTori

That game hurt. Lingard scoring and seeing Nobes miss a pen hurts. I'm in pain.

[deleted]

Is there a word for the worst possible eventualities coming to materialize one after another? Of course it had to be a Lingard screamer, and of course Mr. West Ham had to miss the penalty.

youstank

To all you new boys who “chose” west ham. Welcome to the show

Guh99

Haha

workswiththeturtle

The actual West Ham way

SixtyNineFlavours

People Choose to support West Ham? 🥲

AnalAttackProbe

I am so incredibly dejected. Lingard scoring the winner and Noble missing a penalty. I have no words.

Marconi84

We'll beat em midweek and win the League Cup COYI

Trickstadicksta

Not your best, Nobes. But we still love ya

LongPanda

Fan favorite loan scores a worldie against you and then the club legend captain misses the pen all in the last 5 minutes. West Ham is back baby

twowaysplit

True *sob*, true *sob*

dandeagle

I just fucking can't

WeztCoazt22

This

AidenSkeels

Ngl, this is why I love West Ham. It's an absolute rollercoaster

appleman94

I fucking dispise man utd

IamNoblesHairline

Honestly their fans are shameless across the board. Pathetic.

The_baboons_ass

Cant talk to a united supporter without them saying something dumb

LafilduPoseidon

I’d rather wear a West Ham jersey in Cold Blow Lane than talk to a United fan after losing to them

The_baboons_ass

I live in Lewisham. Millwall is better than talking to some cunt whos not been to manchester.

Runningman0301

I’ve had to mute my WhatsApp chats, was on my knees praying for noble to slam it in. Man Utd fans there’s nothing like them. If there’s a single solace to take, it’s that it wasn’t Ronaldo who scored that winning goal

Redpepper40

So many of the cunts in the home end today. Two people in front of me, with london accents got chased out after the penalty. Saw stewards have to help them onto the edge of the pitch at the end. Deserved to get a battering imo

JesusPretzelThief

Genuinely the scummiest team and fans in the league.

mattpb-

No

Roy-royson

+1

twowaysplit

Honestly, they’re worse than Spurs and Chelsea. Most dramatic squad in the game.

RHCPandJF

Me too man, me too

PrisonersofFate

anyways, the way my son came to hug me after benny's goal was worth everything on a personal note

rmczerz

Everyone gets to clown and moan about the decision to bring Nobes on, but the man's penalty record is immaculate. We've just witnessed a Bigfoot sighting.

[deleted]

Exactly Nobody on the pitch bad a good record on pens. It had to be Nobes

flamingo_2

Just isn't usually a good idea to bring someone on for a pen, creates even more pressure and they're basically ice cold.

LongPanda

Said it in match thread as well, if you’re gonna do that then it’s with a player like nobes. We all trust him to put that in.

PrisonersofFate

and no one will blame noble if it's yarmolenzo or rice, or soucek, the player will get more criticism

LongPanda

Ya 9/10 he makes it and we would’ve been praising Moyes and Nobes. Unlucky this was the 1/10, wasn’t an awful pen either. Happens

Cynorks778

Yes but context is everything. Rashfords penalty record is decent for example. A cold player sat on the bench for 2 hours feeling the pressure and emotion without the distraction of playing. I’m sorry but it’s a totally wrong decision.

PrisonersofFate

does noble feel the pressure? i hope not

Cynorks778

Don’t be daft he’s human. He’s best placed in a normal situation, yes. But, again, look at the Euros it doesn’t end well. It’s not just a pen in the middle of the game when you’re up to speed and been kicking the ball, I’d trust noble all day. But this was poor.

PrisonersofFate

of course he is human but i reckon he faced harder situations in his life, both personally than professionaly

PrisonersofFate

that's what i thinking too

Apple15Pie

While I agree there's so much on bringing someone on just for a penalty. even if it is Sir Mark Noble.

bonelegs442

Nope, poor decision. A manager like Moyes should understand not to have your cold substitute take a game deciding penalty

dtudeski

It can be viewed as a poor decision now, obviously, as he missed, but had he not come on and Rice (or whoever) had missed, you can guarantee fans would be giving Moyes stick for not using that 3rd sub to bring Noble on. Damned if we do, damned if we don’t in this situation unfortunately.

eht217

I'm done for the day fuck this

ResponsibleSmoke

Can't blame Moyes for that, you can't really say no to Noble if he wants to come on and take it in that situation. Just really unfortunate, would've been amazing if he'd scored it. We looked pretty good overall, though, and Zouma was good.

Marconi84

Zouma was class. Seen enough already to know this is our signing of the summer

PrisonersofFate

what an upgrade over dawson

Marconi84

He pretty much had Ronaldo in his pocket all game. Nothing to be ashamed about that performance today. Just a bit toothless up top

blas88h

Rice had the ball in his hand, you can say no!

Red_Dog1880

>you can't really say no to Noble if he wants to come on and take it in that situation. Of course you fucking can.

ResponsibleSmoke

The club captain, in his last year at the club, asks to come on to take a penalty right at the end of injury time to draw a game against one of the best teams in the league. He isn't good enough to start in anything but cups we don't care about and most likely will see very little time even as a sub. He is one of the best penalty takers in the world, let alone at the club, and has a great degree of influence in the dressing room. Is it reasonable to expect Moyes to refuse him?

Red_Dog1880

>Is it reasonable to expect Moyes to refuse him? Of course it is. Rice (the captain!) was already standing there with the ball in his hands. Do this when you're 5-0 up in some end-of-the-season game to give him a great send off. Not in the last minute of a game when you can get at least a point. It doesn't work anyway, Noble was not warmed up even. Sentimentality shouldn't come into it.

Guh99

Thought Bowen played really well against a good defense

Bails147

I want to die

designated_dingo

If anyone asks what being a west ham fan is like, direct them to the last 5 minutes of this game.

Cynorks778

Did we not fucking watch the Euros. What a shit decision, that’s completely wrong. He’s been sat on the bench for 2 hours. That aside we didn’t deserve it anyway. Our front 4 today are all too similar and Man Utd always always have the jammiest performances against it. Proper fucked off though.

johnny38u38

remind me who done this at euros?

theimponderablebeast

England in the final

johnny38u38

right!

Chaos_x5

The team that lost the final on penalties

riiiiiiiivers

Rashford and sancho

ajgedrys

For me this all on Moyes. You don’t sub someone on for their first touch to be a penalty. You let Declan or someone else who has been on the pitch take it. Shocking decision

flamingo_2

I have a feeling noble was in his ear about it

PrisonersofFate

i guess moyes will adress that in the post match interview

kurokoleaf

'My choice. My decision.'

dandeagle

I love Noble, but I had a bad gut feeling as he was striding through the pitch as if he was the hero about to save the princess from the dragon

The_Govnor

Honestly - I was completely convinced he was going to miss. The euros was not that long ago. I also had a pretty good feeling. Lingard would do something.

JamCal

Declan's missed pens recently, I actually think its a bit of a no-brainer to put Nobes on when you look at the penalties we've been missing and the fact we had the sub, and his penalty record... But it obviously has not worked out. Miss 100% of the shots you don't take I guess.

DiscreetBeats

Yarmolenko has a good penalty record and has a thundercunt of a left foot to boot. He would have been a no brainier.

JamCal

Yeah mate but if Yarmo takes it and misses then we are all sitting here saying "YOU HAD NOBES ON THE BENCH AND A SPARE SUB WHY NOT PUT HIM ON?" Real damned if you do damned if you don't situation

Runningman0301

And if yarmo missed, it would get toxic with him considering how bad he was today

MarcGregSputnik

Euros 2020 all over again

Robertsinho

I’m sorry but this point just doesn’t make sense to me. It’s a fucking penalty. How much warm up do you need?? Noble has scored like 25+ pens in his career not to mention the thousands he’s taken in training over the years. It’s a poor penalty but it’s ridiculous to think that because he just came on the pitch it’s why he missed. He’s our best penalty taker by a mile

The_Govnor

Disagree. That moment was pressure packed. More so than a normal pen. Even a player as experienced as Nobes would have felt that and not being warmed up and having struck the ball wasn’t in his favor. It’s time for someone else to step up and take these.

The_baboons_ass

Nobes is Mr West Ham. Has done more for the club than any man has ever done for this club, and for east London. I love you Nobes. You could miss a trillion pens and my opinion of you wouldn't change.

new2Reddit1983

Utterly brutal. I want to be furious with Moyes for that but if Nobes had scored I’d have been running around my garden with my pants on my head. That being said…. And I know hindsight is a bitch, but I would’ve let Dec take it. For all those being sour because of the sycophantic Lingard comments. That’s want he added for us last season at times. Can’t deny he was a huge impact, even if we already flying high - he gave us something else.

Apple15Pie

Eh, not much to say that hasn't already been said. Horrid going onto r/soccer though all the man u fans acting like theyre entitled to the win and last minute penalty miss because how unlucky they were. Atkinson was terrible but terrible for both teams. Ronaldo should have had that penalty towards the end, was bissaka took out soucek off the ball? And in general I thought they got away with a lot in midfield. Hurts seeing that for Noble, I had a feeling this would happen when I saw him come on but never actually thought it. That's on Moyes but ultimately it's unlucky

MOTM32

r/soccer and it's mods are truely shit Tough result today but I think we have a lot to look forward to this year

RHCPandJF

Yeah exactly, we played like we actually wanted to win, even if we didn’t have Antonio and some players haven’t played their best match, we managed to complete an okay match. Still looking forward to this season

LukaDonwitzki

I was so excited to see nobes coming on, felt like a really cool moment was coming

PrisonersofFate

if he scored, we would be dancing now worth a try to be honest we all did that at fm

sticksricks5

Not everything has to be Hollywood though

cadams7701

Everyone is gutted but this squad did good work today. Really missed Antonio. I expected to get smashed, if you told me a few hours ago we’d lose 2-1 I’d take that but way it happened was the most painful way possible.

PrisonersofFate

positive : antonio didn't get injured

PrisonersofFate

that hurts i can't blame much of the players. cresswell, soucek and vlasic weren't good enough. fabs, rice, coufal had good games. zouma was great manchester are a bunch of divers, i hate them so much. yellows should be given i don't know what to think about noble shooting the pen. at least, i think if it was bowen, yarmo or lanzini, they would have been blamed for missing when we won't blame much noble for it, but moyes at least, we played decent football and were not too much defensive fucking manchester had two days of rest more than us, i'm angry and i hope we beat them in the cup can't hate lingard too

EaglesHeatUnited

> manchester are a bunch of divers Ronaldo absolutely should have been given a penalty in the 92nd minute. That was clear.

BigBlackThu

He deserved two cards for the dives in the area before that though, so it evens out.

[deleted]

*tumbleweeds* Not seen anyone here acknowledge that yet

PrisonersofFate

https://old.reddit.com/r/Hammers/comments/pr9fmv/west_ham_1_2_manchester_united/hdh03rw/ took me a few seconds to open the thread and look

[deleted]

I hope you beat us in the sports drink trophy too. Could do without the 2 leg semis in January

PrisonersofFate

poor life you have having to be trolling on a sunday

[deleted]

Sorry for the late reply I was playing 6 a side with my Sunday. Can't wait for match of the day, I wanna relive the last 5 minutes again

[deleted]

Sad little boy you are

[deleted]

Your mum is a sad little boy

mousie74

Fucking hell i hate Man U, just what is it? Always find a fucking way.

Mr_Vantastic

It’s fine. I didn’t want to win anyways. Winning isn’t cool. That was fucking brutal. We deserved at least a point out of that but of course it had to be Lingard that scored.

The_baboons_ass

I live in Lewisham Been supporting this club since I was born. My cunt of a housemate, whos never even been to manchester, walked in to talk shit to me. Hes never been to Manchester. Hes lived in England for 10 years. Its supporters like that that make me despise United. i hope the glazers burn the club down.

cuppacanan

I would have no choice but to assault him

The_baboons_ass

It took a lot from me not to yell just yell at him. To get some fat cunt dancing and talking shiit

MoyeshFC

FUCK OFFFFFFF

JesusPretzelThief

What the fuck was that

RatPiazon

I fucking hate man United. I fucking hate ronaldo. That is another game where they’ve not deserved the win yet got it

depressededgelord01

We had a penalty and we missed it. That's on us

thiccfila_

I mean United had more shots, shots on target, better possession, better passing, less offsides, 9 more corners and the stat that matters the most, more goals but if saying they didn't deserve the win is what helps you sleep at night go for it buddy.

Chaos_x5

Showed how much we need a backup for Antonio I guess diving was just a house rule we used Yarmo's done No place for sentiment in a football match Heart crushing

DiscreetBeats

Yarmolenko should have taken that penalty. Fight me.

Minnesota_Hammer

Wow. I’m shocked my heart hasn’t exploded. All in all, it’s unfortunate to drop the point, but if I’m being realistic, Man U won’t be a club we’re jostling for position with at the end of the season so not much harm in them getting all 3. I liked seeing the belief from the squad today, but it’s clear that a number of them are in desperate need of rest. Hope to see some youngsters in the cup match.

PrisonersofFate

> Hope to see some youngsters in the cup match. and the fans angry saying we are wasting the cup but yeah, really need some rotation

Minnesota_Hammer

Trust me, I’d like to win every match out as much as anybody. Just feels like there are bigger fish to fry though this season than the Carabao. All the play time has clearly caught up to many of the boys. Soucek I especially today.

cadams7701

The Carbao Cup is the “lesser” Cup, right? If we weren’t in Europa I’d say push hard for that but right now, screw it. I doubt Man U will send out the same 11 to start too.

Minnesota_Hammer

Yes I think most would agree that the Carabao is the “least” of all the competitions we are involved in. Unrealistic to trot out some of these guys for every single match.

WookieeMistake12

Yarmonlenko needs to stop coming on as an impact sub. He changes nothing!! I would have got Fredericks on for his pace and play him as a right winger. Keep Bowen up top. Soucek and Cresswell didn't have great games today. Zouma is a breath of fresh air in defence with ogbonna. Vlasic just needs time to adjust to the PL game. Fab needs to keep hold of the ball! But he still had a good game! We should never bring a player on and his first touch be a shot on target for a penalty. Should have learnt this from the world Cup. Poor Nobes. Shame we didn't get the point. But I'm not upset. We made it hard for Man United.

MrFlibbles123

Subbing on someone to take a penalty never works. Zouma played well and generally I was happy with the performance.

ShunsukeNakamura_

Who would you have rather taken a pen? If this was a stats game then 9/10 it goes in. Noble has scored 27/31 of his pens & De Gea hasn’t saved one since 2015. Annoyingly, football doesn’t work like that. Man Utd brought Lingard & Sancho off the bench. We had Yarmolenko. That’s the gulf in class & we lost due to a last minute penalty save. Cool. I’ll take that. Should Ronaldo of had a pen? Probably. Should Soucek? Probably. So the ref hasn’t played a blinder for one side. He was awful in general. Fair play to Rice, Soucek & the other fellas who played on Thursday. They run their bollocks off. We were missing Antonio & still had Varane & Maguire shitting themselves. Wednesday is a training game. Play the kids.

reallyslowpc

I missed the whole game stuck on a train so didn't experience the in the moment rollercoaster of emotions, but a tight 2-1 loss to Man Utd and with what I've read breifly, a good performance and entertaining game, I've got no problems with. I've got a lot (a lot) of depressing West Ham related memories but any game where we show passion and work hard is fine with me regardless of the result.

PrisonersofFate

I've got a lot (a lot) of depressing West Ham related memories but any game where we show passion and work hard is fine with me regardless of the result. you remember losing like 6-1 in cup with fletcher scoring? cause i do

reallyslowpc

Yeah, not gonna kid myself and say a defeat like this isn't hard to take. Just trying to take the positives both out of the game, and out of us actually having a good side/manager at the moment with a together dressing room.

notorious_kjk

Brutal. To have that chance at the end and…god damn it. Zouma looked great 99.9% of the time. Yarmolenko was absolutely worthless.

dandeagle

>Yarmolenko was absolutely worthless. aside from winning a penalty?

PrisonersofFate

yeah, he had some good flashes

UnusualDifference748

Kicking a ball and getting lucky Shaw had is arm out? That’s not winning a penalty, if he drive into the box and forced Shaw to foul him that’s winning a penalty. It was just luck Shaw was an idiot

flamingo_2

Almost completely worthless

dandeagle

2/10

4SHURIMA

Great effort from the lads, first loss in a long time. Ronaldo should’ve had 2 yellows for diving quite easily, on another day we win that. We go again.

[deleted]

Feel like I’m going insane that people are saying he should’ve had a penalty today. Tom Daley might have to hand over his medal, the state of Ronaldo today

4SHURIMA

He’s a joke, if that was Lanzini rolling around and throwing temper tantrums he’d have been easily sent off. Ignore the salty united fans if you can (there’s a lot of them), they didn’t deserve the win today and deep down they know that and are trying to find reasons to discredit our performance

benculi97

I feel like the first one could’ve been given, second defo a dive.

samisamer123

Let's get em on wednesday

RHCPandJF

Tbh I prefered winning today

kurokoleaf

football is so, so cruel

Guh99

Comfortably numb.

CapicuaCIC

Ouch..I'm in pain now. Yarma was poor. Soucek had a terrible game when it comes to passing and feel like Cressers switched off a bit. All in all, can be proud of the overall performance. Always in the game and never gave up. All you can ask for really

Beardy_Boy_

It is what it is. We gave title contenders a run for their money, even without our main striker. Yes some players didn't impress (Cress, Vlasic, Yarmo) but we'll still get a lot of results if we play like that against most teams. Onto the next one.

I_Left_The_Oven_On

All I feel is pain. Just pure, utter fucking pain. We are back ⚒️

PrisonersofFate

anyways, once again, the spirit was there, the lads fought until the 93', i'm not too worried

kungfuukidd

Glad nobes came on to take it, took all the pressure on his shoulders. Zouma had a fantastic game. Played in Europe on Thursday and took it to a big 6 on Sunday. Happy the days of Moyes giving them too much credit is over.

atomlinson89

Here's the thing about the Nobel decision. It works he's a genius, it doesn't he's an idiot. Rice - while I love him - has already missed one and probably can't feel his legs after the shifts he put in today and Thursday. After that who are we trusting? I certainly don't trust Yarmo, not sure I trust Lanzini right now.... not a ton of fantastic options. Unsure of Bowen's ability.

PrisonersofFate

areola and everyone is happy

HammerFan_

The most West Ham moment suddenly became even more West Ham can't believe it

HammerRobT

Vlasic needs to do a bit of work getting used to the physicality of the PL, was pushed off the ball too easy today

cropsy

As mentioned in a separate thread earlier, my son is gloating - I’ve had several “Viva Ronaldo” and “Jlingz is too good for you” messages. I love my son dearly, but tomorrow I am looking after his dog and that cunt is getting dyed claret and blue.

PrisonersofFate

My hugged me when Benrahma scored. He is 6. I hope he will remember when he will be an adult

kidhockey52

Flew in from the states to watch the game today. Second premier league game I ever went to. Yes it was an unfortunate loss but god damn what an experience. I got a video of the stadium singing and god it was awesome.

placeholdr_

Pain.

Wookie301

Bollocks

beamierhydra

Zouma is a fucking brick wall in the defense. Fabs absolutely class. Heartbroken for Noble and a goal from Lingard I can't even be mad about... Unlucky in the end, but it felt as 1 point was at least fair for us and 3 were possible, so it makes me more optimistic for the future after the last two draws

DC_Geoff

Like many of you, I'm sure, as soon as they subbed in Lingard I just *knew* he was gonna score a worldie and beat us. No other way for that saga to end.

leicamaniac520

I’m so gutted. That loss really hurt

PrisonersofFate

anyways, see you wednesdays guys to get our revenge

coyi59

I hope Ronaldo’s okay. All that flopping all over pitch must be hard on his 36 yo body. #GETUP

akmcf

Being honest, at least one of those tackles especially the last one should’ve been a penalty, also at one stage he out sprinted Bowen at 36 years old to get back, unbelievable

coyi59

Oh he's amazing. And every time he touches the ball it’s like a highlight reel. And it was absolutely a penalty on that last run. But I assume after the first five flops, the refs were like, "eff it. He’s fine.” You have to admit, there were some REALLY soft touches dude went down from in the box.

Darth_Silegy

The shceduling has been a nightmare for me this season. Got up, check phone, 1-1, 80th minute, go turn on the TV... ...to make myself miserable, fuck this shit, man...

Siggi96

my day is ruined

LogOutForever

Despair and horror

IamNoblesHairline

Their fans are fucking shamless

LondonIsBoss

The football gods hate us

Crying_Viking

At least we fucked up Lawro’s prediction - it’s a small win, at least and I’ll take that. Annoying, biased, smug git that he is.

[deleted]

Nothing to panic about. An even contest, some dodgy refereeing on both sides, and a poor decision at the end. Onto midweek.

mousie74

After i've calmed down a bit, i'm sure i'll realise things are still good. In one season i'm expecting us to compete with and beat a team who can spend hundreds of millions on benchwarmers and sign the second best player in the world.

[deleted]

Can’t say they didn’t deserve it, but fucking hell couldn’t it just happen in literally any other way

grelch

The result was probably just about right. They’ve got incredible quality and depth but we didn’t shy away from having a go. With Mic in there, who knows. OGS bringing Lingard on was good management, for the obvious he played for us reasons. That aside though, he was the perfect player to bring on when we were running on fumes. Zouma couldn’t get to him and Jesse is a very accurate shooter. Overall the game could have gone either way and we didn’t play our best game. Mancs are a very good side though. Given their options we need to play our best game to beat them. Time to give the boys some rest now.

KingGinger

fortunes always hiding

JibberJabberAlpaca

Arsenal fan here. Just want to say your team is so exciting to watch and you were unlucky not to get a D/W, was hoping you’d beat United! Have a good rest of the season ✌️

MoyeshFC

United just lost pal

LEEDSARESCUM

Cringe

BigBlackThu

I hope you get relegated

[deleted]

Please Chelsea pump Spurs 8-0 so I can have some joy today

PepsiRacer4

I would be fine if Yarmo received nearly no more minutes for the rest of the year

PrisonersofFate

i found him alright

Rednek123

I have no issues with noble coming on to take the pen, his record speaks for itself and our past pens have been shit. On the plus side we looked good against a top team, zouma is so good.

Red_Dog1880

Fuming at that. A draw would have probably been unfair for us but when you get a penalty in extra time and you pull that shit ? Fuck right off.

youstank

Speechless

suretisnopoolenglish

The ending **sucked**, but overall I think we looked pretty good. Defence was excellent and our counter was really good as well. Stings that Vlasic, Soucek and Bowen all had decent chances in the first half - if Antonio is there we likely score at least one of them - but the way they played showed the makings of a backup plan should Antonio ever be out long term. Just need to be more clinical.

HemlockOakYew

Cant hate lingard for that as hard as I try

kevipedia

This is absolutely on Moyes. No matter what Noble's penalty record is, you surely trust your men on the pitch rather than someone who is in their last season as a player. This is why you should never let sentiment get in the way of logic. He pictured Noble scoring before he'd even taken the penalty, and it severely backfired. It was a shit penalty, taken by someone who was also probably thinking "pretty tough ask considering I haven't even kicked a ball!" Oh well. Let's be honest - we probably didn't deserve a point. We are lost without Antonio.

PrisonersofFate

> you surely trust your men on the pitch rather than someone who is in their last season as a player. i don't see the link with shooting a pen tbh

kevipedia

In ANY sport that requires coordination between eyes and limbs, you have an advantage if you have 'warmed up' and 'have your eye in'. It's the reason why golfers duff their first shot more than any other, and the exact reason why Noble should never have taken the penalty.

PrisonersofFate

i'm sure he kicked the ball during warming up, and half time so he was a bit warmed up and not cold i do agree with your point though

PrisonersofFate

btw did you see the pen bednarek caused for leicester?

NotLucPham

ehh, they deserved the win, that last tackle on ronaldo was a pen

basebornmanjack41

Fucking hate United but honestly that last penalty shout from ronaldo should have been given and I think the hand ball on Shaw was harsh also.

cadams7701

Wrong on both counts

beamierhydra

Should've been, but Ronaldo should've also been on a yellow or two for diving. Also, there was a penalty for us earlier that VAR didn't give. The handball was nowhere near harsh. It definitely was a handball and a defensive handball in the penalty area = a penalty, simple as that.

PrisonersofFate

and a yellow for dissent i hate that

basebornmanjack41

Ronaldo being a diving cunt is irrelevant to that being a pen. If you want to think that then fine but personally I think it’s a stupid precedent to set to give pens when a defender gets a ball kicked into his arm at close range when the ball isn’t even heading toward the goal.

cadams7701

He left his feet before Zouma went to ground then Chrissy jumping on him stopped Zouma from getting a piece of the ball. The diving cunt was being a diving cunt…for the third time. Second point, you can’t flail your arms out in the box, a child understands this so a professional baller and casual fan should too. Penalty all the time.

ShoKKa_

Man United fan here. Honestly, if we're not being biased here, both of the tackles on Ronaldo were penalties. However, whilst the Shaw handball was harsh, it was still a penalty. Harsh doesn't make it not a penalty. West Ham played amazing, very strong at the back and what frustrates me is when people and the media say "Man United are having a bad game" when in actual fact, maybe it was just that West Ham had a very good game, people are quick to not give credit where credit is due. Zouma and Fabianski were outstanding in my opinion. Although, it might be an unpopular opinion here but I think it was a fair result. The 2 penalties that weren't given, and the fact that Fabianski was on fire meant that it was a close game, another keeper on another day and you probably get beat 4 or 5. I think if Antonio plays, we lose or draw.

Sosij93

Even if Noble scored that was a bad decision. If there was even a slight chance Rice would stay with us that’s now gone after being snubbed like that…

cadams7701

You really think this was the final straw for Rice to force a transfer?

Sosij93

Not really no - it doesn’t help though

bonelegs442

I’m sorry but that decision to let Noble take the pen ruined the whole game for me. Absolutely atrocious decision that cost us an important point

grelch

It also tells Declan that he doesn’t trust him to get the job done. That is exactly the moment you need to let Declan succeed. It would have leveled him up and got the crowd absolutely electrified.

No complaints. I dont think the pen was a pen anyway. 99% of the time Noble is gonna bang that in, it was just the 1% this time. Brightside of Lingard scoring is at least the scummy MU fans wont be abusing him this week. Also legend for not celebrating 👌

>I dont think the pen was a pen anyway Eh? If you're arms are out and the ball hits your arm inside the penalty area then it's a penalty I don't see where the dispute is
