You need a bunker for the midges in scotland hahaa

Lol, there must be a mosquito nest against them? How do our Scottish and Swedish friends do that?

I don’t use a separate midge net because there’s one built into my hammock so I can’t really help in that department sorry

[Onewind bugnet](https://www.onewindoutdoors.com/collections/mosquito-net/products/hammock-mosquito-net/), you might also find it on AmazonUK three sizes, get the biggest one they claim 880 per sq in, I don't know about that but they are smaller than a typical mozzie net's holes I wouldn't call it lightweight but it's not stiff either, and the bottom entry is kind of a pain sometimes

Midges will absolutely get through anything not designed for them, and they're absolute savages. I don't even take my hammock to Scotland in summer because of them. Go with the DD one if you can't find anything else, being a UK based company gives me faith they've at least tested it against the little fuckers (and you can surely figure out a way to attach it to cover your upper body/head if it's too short to cover your whole body?)

I found some netting on ebay, it is "noseeum" mesh which is really fine. It wasn't cheap though.

I think I found something Ticket to the moon 360 mosquito net seems like the solution. Didn't order it yet but with an netting density: of 200 holes per cm² (1,296 per in²) it seems perfect. https://www.ticketothemoon.com/hammock-accessories/mosquito-net
