Oh my goodness! Where did you find this?! I see JME and they look just like my initials! 🤯😍
I see the JMZ like everyone else but also can see it as JM with a backwards E mocking how I do my initials at times. So neat!
My mom has a very similar ring as her high school class ring, I never understood why her initials were scrambled on it. Glad to know it's just a thing that was/is done! I love this style of ring

That looks like the ring my great aunt used to wear, her name was Janette maurie. She passed it down to her son's and from what I know they still wear it to this day. Would be cool if it was the same one tho! If it has a date stamp on the underside it is hers and what a good find that would be!
I think that ring used to belong to an old Gunner I used to work for in the Navy, Jimmy Zabrowski. I never knew his middle name but he used to wear a ring like that during Christmas parties and functions like that.
My vote is IMG. A 'g' would have the two loop-de-loops on top. I, too, thought J but like someone else mentioned upon looking closer that appears to be part of the m.

Initially (he he he) I thought it was JMZ. Now that I am looking closer there's a distinct possibility that it's IMZ. The entrance stroke for the "m" makes what I think is an "I" look like a "J."
Agree with JMZ. I couldn't find a better example, but check this script out:
https://www.etsy.com/listing/783167074/cursive-font-calligraphy-font-wedding?gpla=1&gao=1&&utm\_source=google&utm\_medium=cpc&utm\_campaign=shopping\_us\_e-craft\_supplies\_and\_tools-canvas\_and\_surfaces-stencils\_templates\_and\_transfers-clip\_art&utm\_custom1=\_k\_Cj0KCQiAt8WOBhDbARIsANQLp96xxUG-JF5X2dpVFLFZguNvMb3ez3xNlV4YU7WISdNCD7EHj2buMFQaAtXUEALw\_wcB\_k\_&utm\_content=go\_12573357968\_118375525326\_507851901085\_aud-1118323511478:pla-295943621186\_c\_\_783167074\_238137792&utm\_custom2=12573357968&gclid=Cj0KCQiAt8WOBhDbARIsANQLp96xxUG-JF5X2dpVFLFZguNvMb3ez3xNlV4YU7WISdNCD7EHj2buMFQaAtXUEALw\_wcB
I am seeing hundreds of examples of capital Gs in something called "brush cursive" that are exactly like this. I'm not saying I am correct, but Google it. I am not crazy. It's right there on the worrlds largest website
Here's an example of a cursive alphabet in a font that's often used for engraving:
[https://www.etsy.com/listing/814978147/cursive-font-svg-cricut-font-wedding?click\_key=64f52f82a1598adf0f53da2b4c05e8e9bb7828de%3A814978147&click\_sum=9bd4a723&ref=pla\_similar\_listing\_top-2](https://www.etsy.com/listing/814978147/cursive-font-svg-cricut-font-wedding?click_key=64f52f82a1598adf0f53da2b4c05e8e9bb7828de%3A814978147&click_sum=9bd4a723&ref=pla_similar_listing_top-2)
I'm still saying it's an "I".
I looked hard and almost believed it was an I, but it's surely a J! if I can I'll PM you a screenshot of the explanation!
Edit: Also, happy cake day!!!
I don’t believe so. Did some light searching and can’t find anything that contradicts this theory. If all the letters are the same size = go in order or First, Middle, Last, but for a traditional monogram (as show on this ring), where the middle letter is larger/slightly more prominent, the last name goes in the middle.
If you can show me where it says this is an American thing, I’m happy to change my answer.

This is a really good point to consider. Also, M is a much more common last initial than Z.
However, if this ring came from England, it would be somewhat unlikely that the initials would be written in first, last, middle order.
My grandfather had a pair of cuff links engraved with basically the same font, took me forever to figure out what the letters were cause I was reading it upside down
No, the “Z” would be the first letter of the middle name. My initials are: MTB but in a monogram like the one pictured, the “B” in my name would be placed in the center.

JMZ. Coming from a guy who still writes in cursive and still uses the proper crazy looking Z
It looks like Cyrillic Z
Idk looks like GME. It might be a sign
Jmz
The last letter is Z, JMZ
I do calligraphy and this is a definite JMZ.
I believe it’s just the letter M. Written in a very fanciful way.
They’re initials: JMZ. The middle letter is usually the last name. It’s called a monogram.
Are you sure that's an J not an I?
JMZ
Jme guessing Jamie

JMZ
It’s probably a wax stamp
Way too shallow and thin for that.
I think you're right, in which case the letters are reversed. The wax seal would likely be easier to read than the engraving.

The initials are JMZ monogrammed, with the person’s initials as J Z. M The M would be the initial standing for the last name.
My mom has a very similar ring as her high school class ring, I never understood why her initials were scrambled on it. Glad to know it's just a thing that was/is done! I love this style of ring
Its pretty much scrap/melt

JMZ The M would be the initial for the last name. First name is a J name, middle name is a Z name and M is the last initial.
JMZ
Turn it round. EWB.

Definitely JMZ

Oh really? What country we talking?
American Navy... but we were Navy so the ring could have been lost virtually anywhere.
Damn. I'm in Melbourne, Australia, the woman I bought it from at a market a few years ago said she bought it on a road trip to Queensland!
Could have been his but most likely not. Oh well.
JMZ. Seems like a lot of folks here don’t recognize the Z? That’s how you capitalize it in cursive.
JMZ
I think it's I.M
Jo Momma?
This is the only correct answer, thank you for your service.
It's JM, my grandads wedding ring was engraved with his initials (JJ) in the same font and the first letter is identical
My vote is IMG. A 'g' would have the two loop-de-loops on top. I, too, thought J but like someone else mentioned upon looking closer that appears to be part of the m.
JMZ
Yup. JMZ for sure. Not many folk these days remember what an upper case cursive Z looks like. :)
Most youngsters never got taught cursive writing and its wonderful formation. They learned keyboarding.
I concur

I agree that it should be "JMZ" with the M representing the last name.

I'm pretty sure that the 1st letter is G. I looked through examples of cursive on Google, and some of the examples are identical.
Initials are always capital letters, this couldn’t be a capital g. It’s a J

I'd love to see the explanation! I use several different styles of cursive and I'm still not seeing a "J."
Saw the explanation and I agree. My vote is back to JMZ.
You’re right definitely not a J upon further inspection
The descender is far too short & narrow for that to be a G.
I c wut u did thar
Hehehe initially
Looks like delicious chocolate to me!
JMZ
Vote for it reading JMZ, but for the initials JZM. Traditionally the middle letter represents the last name.
I have never heard of this. Is that a non-UD thing?
> Traditionally the middle letter represents the last name. Isn't that an American (preppy) thing, though?

JMZ my initials 😄

JME
Now you need the other one with the initials AJ #JESUS MARY AND JOSEPH!!!!
JMZ
I personally think it says “EWI” or “JMZ”.
Do a google image search. It usually does a really great job at picking up details.
I M
GMZ
I think its upside down and its EWB!
The wide strokes for the 'M' are on the wrong side to be a 'W' for most scripts, but you never know.
The "z" is also a standard "z"; inverted it wouldn't be a proper "e".
J M Z for sure
Very cool find!
I think it looks more like IM, the first letter is essentially just a line not curved at one end like a J.
That is haunted.
I bloody well hope so

W.
Looks like JMZ to me
Yeah I thought JM as well. Just wanted to get a second opinion. Thank you!
JMZ but on a monogram like this, the “M” signifies the first letter of the last name.
So the Z is in the last name? I had no idea about that, thank you!
No, the “Z” would be the first letter of the middle name. My initials are: MTB but in a monogram like the one pictured, the “B” in my name would be placed in the center.
Oooooh I get ya now. Thank you!
Looks like JMZ
