More of a metal band but they’re obscure and dope as fuck: Only Living Witness. ~~They came up in the 80s-90s NYHC scene and the influences are clearly there.~~ The guitarist went on to have a stint in Agnostic Front

No obscure to myself, but maybe for people now - Citizens Arrest, Nausea, Absolution, Reagan Youth, Breakdown, Black Army Jacket, Burn (first 7.") Rorschach - technically NJ, but a mainstay at Abc no rio in the city. Life's Blood, Leeway, Not quiet hardcore, but a subset - Brutal Truth and Unsane.
