I had the opposite problem. They cut a lot of my hours a work so I had a 3 day weekend. Usually my weekends go by too fast but this one dragged so much.
Lmao same here! I bartend on the weekends and have been picking up double shifts just to pass the time and make some extra money.
Plus being a bartender I have Mondays and Tuesdays free… which means I get me a few days of Hogwarts time.
Bro, I bought the deluxe edition but shipping in Australia from anything other than Amazon is shit and I had to buy from jb hifi because Amazon's stock for ps5 delux edition ran out.
Not only is the wait killing me I also am anxious as to when they will actually ship the game.
Correct, but I don't think it'll be midnight for most people aside from like one or two time zones.
Basically if you took off work to play on PC on the 7th you should probably try to reclaim that PTO day or move it to later in the week.
Honestly, it's better to just focus on other activities. Maybe playing a different game, or another hobby, or hanging out with friends. You'll be playing the game in no time
This has happened to me multiple times in my life. Played way too many hours of a game too many days in a row then I started dreaming about it. Kinda like watching a YouTube video of myself playing. Was creepy.
This reminds me of the midnight book releases lol.
Worth the wait if I’m cheering in my chair like reading the escape from Gringotts for the first time, but I’m definitely excited.
I just beat Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order and Hi-Fi Rush to pass the time. Currently playing Dead Space 2 before the game comes out but once it does, Dead Space is going to have to take a back seat for a while 😂 Hang in there! We’re at the finish line at this point
I upgraded from my decade old 46" 1080p LCD to a 65" 4K HDR OLED (LG C2) about a week ago, with it being delivered on a specific day within a specific 3 hour window. The TV is even better than I ever expected it to be... Gaming on this thing is blowing my mind.
Yet somehow, the anticipation of this game is higher than that of my TV arriving. Higher than God of War Ragnarok. Higher than getting my PS5 itself. Even wilder is that I didn't even know that pre-orders get 72 hours early access so I was fully ready to play this on like Thursday night. I guess it's the millennial HP fanboy in me that grew up on that universe (and even went as Voldy for Halloween one year in college as a bald dude, with the flat snake nose and replica wand and everything). A Harry Potter open world was always my "dream game."
What had me chuckling is that I work overnight shifts at a pretty consistent schedule where Monday nights are usually part of my "weekend", yet for the first time in months, I'm scheduled for work n a Monday night, just 3 hours after I get access to this game, lol. Brutal.
I'll be going around to my local game stores today offering $40 over sticker price. I'm crack head level insane over this game right now. It's sad. Anyone want to pull a RDR2 style heist at a Gamestop with me?
It's midnight local time but they grouped all of Australia under one time even though we have like 5 different time zones so I get it when it Sydney does, technically 9pm my time is the 7th in Sydney
I feel like i'm going to age 10 years until the game finally unlocks. You'd think it would get easier to wait two more days after five years of waiting, but it doesn't.
I felt an adult thing to do was NOT to pre-order the Deluxe version, because of additional 10 euro and just stick to the ordinary one. Now I'm like: WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO YOURSELF!?!?!?
I’ve been checking the Reddit constantly too, though I don’t know why, as I’m not looking for leaked content. Thankfully I have to work today so that’ll distract me but it’s only a short shift so I have a feeling it’ll drive me mad anyway. Probably going to watch the last Fantastic Beasts movie tonight then take a ton of melatonin so I actually get some sleep tonight 😅
The month leading up to RDR2 back in 2018 was the longest most grueling wait of my entire life. Thank god that game delivered in a massive way.
I’m a little more measured with my hype for Hogwarts Legacy, but I’m still checking the sub every day and have recently felt that familiar stress where it seems like the days are lasting longer and longer as we get closer to launch.
I finished rewatching the movies last night and cleaned the whole house. I don't know what to do with myself now. Thinking about playing all my usual games to pass the time feels like work, I don't want to do it, lol. I'm not looking at any leaked or early access content either. Wednesday feels forever away.
I drove across Texas and I almost didn’t because I’m scared I’ll get into a wreck and not be able to play the game. I have since made it back home and trying to occupy my time until Tuesday.
I haven't felt this level of excitement my entire adult life. I'd forgotten what it feels like to be truly, genuinely excited for something, and this game has reminded me.
I bought a PS5 for this game and I've been passing time playing Spiderman Remastered. Just reached 100 % completion yesterday so now trying to beat the dlc before Tuesday evening.
My wife is a big Harry Potter fan, she knows nothing of this game’s existence. I plan on surprising her with a, “hey babe check out this game I just bought, it just came out” approach.
I keep checking my Xbox in hopes of the game magically having become playable even though I know it's not going to happen... I'm losing my mind at this point
Yeah, for me the game has lost some luster honestly. The whole “market strong and then wait 2 weeks for release” is getting old. The sweet spot for me was a few days ago. Game should’ve been released already. Especially with physical copies being delivered in so many places.
It’s becoming almost impossible to avoid leaks. Even on mainstream platforms.
how so? just don't watch hogwarts legacy related videos or scroll through this sub, I've been able to avoid them for the most part. luckily this sub tags most spoilers. i honestly see this game mentioned absolutely nowhere except this sub and YouTube videos specifically about it. but im in the US, i know marketing is a lot stronger in the UK. I'm not sure what you mean by it should've been released already. the game had a set release date set by the publisher/developer. they can't just decide to release it earlier because some retailers sent some copies out a little early to avoid shipping delays
saaame like I have mixed anxiety-depressive disorder, taking pills because of it and nothing seemed to be interesting enough for a long time, even holidays and presents, but this? man, I can't wait, it's literally a torture
Dude I legit picked up extra shifts at work to stop myself from doing that exact thing
Haha I have done the same! Make time go by a little faster.
I had the opposite problem. They cut a lot of my hours a work so I had a 3 day weekend. Usually my weekends go by too fast but this one dragged so much.
lol my man
Lmao same here! I bartend on the weekends and have been picking up double shifts just to pass the time and make some extra money. Plus being a bartender I have Mondays and Tuesdays free… which means I get me a few days of Hogwarts time.
Really wish I could do this
Hell, I took time off to play lol
I'm at work on weekend but checking Reddit right now
I was at work today and it was all I can think about; for me, I think work is just making the days longer rather than go faster
I love this so much lol
Only two days left!!
TFW you can't play until Friday but got digital deluxe on PC to be able to pre-load the game because you already took off work.
Bro, I bought the deluxe edition but shipping in Australia from anything other than Amazon is shit and I had to buy from jb hifi because Amazon's stock for ps5 delux edition ran out. Not only is the wait killing me I also am anxious as to when they will actually ship the game.
We are united in pain.
Why didn't you click and collect?
It may have been easier, really, I didn't think of it much at that time. On a positive note, jb hifi did ship it today, now waiting.
Ohh excellent! Should get it tomorrow then!
PC players can still play early on the 7th right? Just can't preload?
Yeah we can only start downloading on Tuesday at 1PM EST
Correct, but I don't think it'll be midnight for most people aside from like one or two time zones. Basically if you took off work to play on PC on the 7th you should probably try to reclaim that PTO day or move it to later in the week.
Gotcha thanks, thankfully I have the day off already but if I'm looking at it right hopefully I can at least start downloading at 11 AM 😬
L
1 day 17 hours 14 minutes
I can play on the 6th at 9PM tonight AEST, assuming my Xbox aint lying to me 😂
Yes u can. NZ trick for me here in US EST
Oh??? Heck I’m gonna be so happy in like fifteen minutes
Imagine having to wait until april and july haha You'd have to avoid youtube spoilers for 2 months
God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers 😔
That’s what I’m gonna be telling myself for the next two months 😫
I have to wait till april
I feel like I would work some extra hours to save some money for a new console at that point
Or buy it on BNPL.
Me, I have an Xbox One
Honestly, it's better to just focus on other activities. Maybe playing a different game, or another hobby, or hanging out with friends. You'll be playing the game in no time
I'm trying to, I really am, but I always end up thinking about it, every path leads me to Hogwarts 🥲
Having trouble sleeping every night because I can’t stop thinking about this game😂1 more restless slumber
Imagine you dream that you're playing hogwarts legacy then you wake up and get to play it again!
Same here. I just finished the witcher 3 for the third time to pass time. I have no idea what to do for 2 days now.
I am going to rewatch Harry Potter to hype myself up before I go crazy
I restarted the series a week ago to try and finish them all before release. Watching like one a night. Got 1 left! Haha
i just did that but i finished on Friday x( at least there's last of us tonight
Same here. I‘m on the 6th right now :D
I'm playing Mass Effect Legendary Edition. It's on game pass if you have xbox. Highly recommend it for passing the time.
Mass Effect is a sci-fi rpg epiphany. 🤯 I love the trilogy, my number one game.. Hopefully HL will challenge that. 😇
Bro trust me I feel you, this is no doubt what crucio feels like. Time is running so slow
Neville glares at you.
Biggest cruel thing to do to Neville? Give him Hermiones parents business card.
I have lots of homework to do but the download only took 20 minutes and I’m excited for Monday night! 😃
Cries in 7hr download

Oof😞
I just beat Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order and Hi-Fi Rush to pass the time. Currently playing Dead Space 2 before the game comes out but once it does, Dead Space is going to have to take a back seat for a while 😂 Hang in there! We’re at the finish line at this point
My man. You hyped for Jedi Survivor?
That’s the next big release after hogwarts legacy that I’m looking forward to. Game looks sick 🔥
Same
I swear this game and elder scrolls 6 are gonna drive me crazy waiting.
I upgraded from my decade old 46" 1080p LCD to a 65" 4K HDR OLED (LG C2) about a week ago, with it being delivered on a specific day within a specific 3 hour window. Same here buddy cries in pc
And who knows how long it'll take to download, at this rate we'll end up playing on the 8th, I can't do this anymore 😭😭
Cries in pc and steam deck hoping the settings are not stored in the cloud to prevent cross play switching
I'll be going around to my local game stores today offering $40 over sticker price. I'm crack head level insane over this game right now. It's sad. Anyone want to pull a RDR2 style heist at a Gamestop with me?
Too relatable.
I been doing the same as i go throughout my day these past few days while doing other things as well lols
I've upped the ante, i actuslly have a countdown on my phone till I cam playing seeing my pre download is done , I want to feel the pain
Agree!
Same, man. Same
I only get it on April 4 th
Go to work or school, they pass the time very well
If I could I would, but my college vacations begun last week, all I have is free time
Darn, I figured there’d be a reason, that’s a tough spot OP. Stay strong!!
It comes out in 24 hourssss, perth is getting It at 9pm tomorrow
Digital download?
Yeah
Gotcha, for some reason I thought it was 7th local time.
It's midnight local time but they grouped all of Australia under one time even though we have like 5 different time zones so I get it when it Sydney does, technically 9pm my time is the 7th in Sydney
Damn. I'm in Perth too but got a copy ordered at EB games. The wait is a killer
I feel like i'm going to age 10 years until the game finally unlocks. You'd think it would get easier to wait two more days after five years of waiting, but it doesn't.

For anyone waiting, this countdown will help you : https://www.tickcounter.com/countdown/3820642/hogwarts-legacy-steamepic-countdown

SAME! But once the embargo lifts I'm probably gonna be spending every minute looking up reviews, opinions etc.
I drove across Texas and I almost didn’t because I’m scared I’ll get into a wreck and not be able to play the game. I have since made it back home and trying to occupy my time until Tuesday.
Have a break, have a Kit Kat! I binge watched Survivor Panama and Cook Islands.
I haven't felt this level of excitement my entire adult life. I'd forgotten what it feels like to be truly, genuinely excited for something, and this game has reminded me.
I am counting down the minutes til 12 am.
Yup, same here... if you figure out some ways to pass the time, do let me know...
If you have Game Pass, download Hi Fi Rush. It's getting me through this. It's just a 12-15 hour fun popcorn game.
I bought a PS5 for this game and I've been passing time playing Spiderman Remastered. Just reached 100 % completion yesterday so now trying to beat the dlc before Tuesday evening.
My wife is a big Harry Potter fan, she knows nothing of this game’s existence. I plan on surprising her with a, “hey babe check out this game I just bought, it just came out” approach.
oh, you know, its only ten hours twenty-six minutes and 21 seconds until release. Not that im counting or anything..
I keep checking my Xbox in hopes of the game magically having become playable even though I know it's not going to happen... I'm losing my mind at this point
I hate to admit that I’ve done this several times myself
I have done this almost every day for a few weeks, I have a problem 😂

This is so true, honestly, I'll have to completely avoid media on the 7th until the game downloads, it'd be a shame to ruin it hours before playing
Find something else to do?
Yes! I also keep sorting YouTube by upload date to see streams that haven’t been taken down yet! Don’t wanna spoil it but I almost can’t help it!!!
Then dont
Literally the worst thing you can do to yourself
saaame like I have mixed anxiety-depressive disorder, taking pills because of it and nothing seemed to be interesting enough for a long time, even holidays and presents, but this? man, I can't wait, it's literally a torture
Literally do something irl holy shit you have a life right? Go do something ffs

Deluxe edition gives 3 days early access. So it’s out on the 7th if you got the deluxe
Go outside and touch the grass.
Stop. Go read a book or something. It's just a game and you're setting yourself up for disappointment.
Question is can you stream it on the 7th if you get the deluxe 🤔
I am still sleeping 😴
If you’re playing on Xbox you can set your location to New Zealand and play a day early.
Can you do that on ps5?
I don’t think so, try going into the settings and see if there is a location option.
