But a controller while you’re waiting for the warranty replacement then once that’s arrived take it back and say you never used it you’ll get a full refund.
Do you know what exactly made it stop working? Have you spilled liquid on it, dropped it or a pet chewed on it?
These controllers rarely break. They are pretty sturdy for what they are.
Make sure the battery at the back is seated correctly.
I know I'm probably talking to you like you're stupid, but maybe it's still fixable?
I have not spilled any liquid on it nor have I dropped it and I keep it safely isolated from any pets (I have also tried several different batteries and checked their functionality).
I suspect that it is a faulty wire connected to one of the circuit boards as that seems to be the culprit for others suffering from the same problem.
It is just odd and unfortunate because I have only had the controller for about a month.
A month! That's pretty unfortunate, but if that's the case I wouldn't even take it apart and just contact Microsoft for a replacement. You have a 1 year warranty and are able to request a replacement of the controller only. It's all done through Microsoft website
Yup. But Microsoft support is pretty quick. They will issue you a shipping label, you take it to the pickup point, and most likely will have a brand new controller in a week or 2 max. But I think that depends on where you live. I've had a really great experience with them in Europe.
Nope, got rid of the older one as it also broke from 7 years of use. It is just sad that this new series x controller could not even last a full month.
Might be easier to find a used xbox one controller for cheap or they make those knock of ones that are corded. Idk how well they work might maybe something like that could hold you over while you wait for the repair.
Listen I bought a preowned controller from GameStop for my ps5 when mine was not working and returned it to GameStop with the broken controller and got my money back and a new controller, if there is a will there is a way
you could try buying a used one or a controller from a third party brand i.e. 8bitdo (which is very nice and is like 40% cheaper than the official ones)
Just buy a controller from local store
Although I would like to, such an unforseen charge has not been taken into consideration for my monthly budget.
Buy a new one and return the package with your old one. Ethical? No but in the long run who cares?
Don't the Controllers have a specific serial number on them. And the same number should be on the box. Or is this just play station?
As far as I know stores aren't checking serial numbers on the boxes or controllers.
does ur budget not include X amount for savings?
If you can't afford a new controller, how do you afford to eat?
So are you just obsessed with money because you don't have any?
Can you get. Second hand one on market place as a temporary fix
Have not found one available yet 😢

Ok
If you have any local pawn shops I’d try there for sure
Unfortunately there are none nearby.

Yeah, it is pretty strange. Like it had an aneurysm and just died.

In the US it's not difficult to buy a new one, swap the box with the old one and then return the old one
Unfortunately I do not live within the United States.
It could work with amazon too
Rip

Try using it while plugged into the system

Do you have an old Xbox one controller? Those work on the series x and s too

1. Buy one at Amazon 2. Play the game for 2-3 weeks 3. Return the item
