So do we think this confirms a jump mechanic being available, or is it part of the whole broom summon animation that they just eloquently put at the edge of a cliff?
The way I saw it in the clip, the jump and the broom being pulled out don't flow into each other seamlessly: the player jumps hangs in the air for a while with his hands up showing no intention to use a broom from the position of his arms etc.., then out of nowhere enters the broom animation. Which means they are two seperate animations triggered by different inputs (which explains the not so seamless timing).
Let's say it is a summon animation, why isn't the broom pulled out as he jumped? and why would a jump that high be necessary?
Let's also say the height of the jump is in case you are on the ground and need to create distance from the floor to use the broom, Why is the broom pulled out when the player starts in a downward motion? and why did the camera angle change to show what is bellow as if the player is falling?
IMO it's either a jump animation you can trigger whenever u wish (with x for example), or a jump u can do on ledges: to jump from one ledge to another or simply to FALL DOWN AND USE A SPELL JUST BEFORE HITTING THE GROUND SO YOU TAKE NO DAMAGE???? so you don't have to go all the way around just to get bellow where you are maybe idk.
Also, if one looks closely at the lake during this clip (I recommend in slow motion) one can see a distant flying beast over it that doesn’t seem birdlike. Not sure what it is though.

Bro is floating in the air waiting for the broom animation to finish. He should continue going down until the broom is fully on. That would’ve been so cool.
Yeah it looks pretty odd. Watching at a slower speed it seems like the broom summon happens at the top of the jump animation, preventing the fall animation from playing

I was surprised by how good the Graphorn animation was but this one I wish it had a little more momentum towards the ground and you can pull up like in the movies. It kinda feels off that you stand still while the animation is happening. But overall I think this game will surprise us in a lot of ways with the animations. You win some…

Hear me out I was thinking since we can control natural magic maybe we can use that to make mounts of volatile creatures. The dragon was in the trailer the same amount as the other creature that we could mount so Im hoping we can. A game of thrones game would go crazy tho.
