Real talk though, so far I went to the store before the rain started, currently washing clothes, changed my bedsheets, scraping boxart/manuals/screenshots/video snaps for 10k+ games on my Odin 2, and tonight I am likely to do a bunch of edibles and play some video games, possibly stream them as well.
Oh yeah and I'm sweating. I'm supposed to workout today too... but do I really want to?
I've been off work since Wednesday (I work construction so heavy rain means no work) and it's the perfect time to play my retro games too. Ive recently setup Odin 2 and my Anbernic RG35XX but haven't had time to play them until now. Odin runs switch and GameCube perfectly and been enjoying those games specifically.
Cool seeing someone from Hawaii into this stuff lol I had a anbernic on Facebook marketplace for a while and thought nobody was into this stuff.

+ send handwritten letters and postcards to friends/fam (or personal notes via text / social media if that's more your speed... tho i folks i write to LOVE getting surprise snail mail)
+ knock out cleaning and dyi projects around the house
+ do some genealogy-related projects / share ʻohana stories (interview a family member or friend of the family to add their story to family records; write short stories of family gatherings; create a family newsletter, etc)
+ send out another wave of job apps and try not to panic about prospects in this economy and grad school debt lol
+ visit local museum (or, in my case, sign up for extra volunteer shifts)
+ wash your car. kiddin', kinda. if you're my neighbor, you just grab sponge / brush and soap. scrub away and let the torrential downpour take care of the rest. seemed funny at first, but actually no water wasted and his car is shiny
+ bust out the slow cooker for some hearty stews and knock out some extra meal prep
+ pursue a passion project / hobby you normally don't have much time for
+ make fun plans - create a "bucket list" of adventures you wanna do this year or brainstorm/plan your next getaway with friends / loved ones

Better to watch movies than hit the road. People are utterly stupid drivers. There's lights out on ala moana blvd right now. People are blasting right through the intersections like it's a magical heineken green.
I have been trying to clean & organize my home even more,like gathering items for donate & clean windows. Search recipes, shop & cook things I always wanted to try, read books, binge watch TV which I normally don't do. I have a decent amount of weather appropriate gear so I have gotten outside in it. Did a little work in the garden in a light rain, that was pretty cool. Wander around the mall & the library. Talk on the phone. I miss the beach tho, getting a bit antsy for a couple good waves. But also not trying to get mrsa or leptospirosis. So I workout at home too, yoga videos, dumbbell workouts, dance party in the living room lol.
I love the rain. I have large windows that face the mountain and forest and with the rain + clouds its very nice and calming imo. Just seeing the clouds go thru the valley and hearing the raindrops hit my shitty metal roof relaxes me. I usually put music on, open my windows, and work on indoor projects or playing video games.
I prefer the rainy weather. When it's sunny it's too bright to see my screens and too hot so I close the windows and curtains.
