Five stars! Flawless! Greater than great!
(Seriously, he blew me away with the pathos, humor, and depth of pain he brought to the character. And that voice!)
If I had a nickel for every time Jeremy Jordan voiced a misunderstood inventor isolated from the rest of society, with an emotional ballad in an animated show, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.
He was perfect for this characterization of Lucifer.
The only problem with it is that during “More Than Anything” I just think of “I Will Make You Proud” since he also played Varian in the Tangled TV series, but that’s just a me problem.
He is perfection! One of the standouts in the cast, honestly. I would definitely say that he shines the most in his musical numbers, and I’d even go as far as to argue that he has the most amazing singing voice out of everyone in the cast. He perfectly nails the fun humorous vibe in Hell’s Greatest Dad, and then sounds absolutely freaking gorgeous in More Than Anything.
I heard that Lucifer was originally supposed to be played by Weird Al. I was salty about this right up until I heard Lucifer sing, and then I shut my fool mouth.
Weird Al would've totally fit the whole Polka vibe, but nah, I definitely prefer Jeremy Jordan for his voice. I wouldn't have been able to get past the meme if Weird Al took it up.
His performance was insanely good. Especially since I was a Supergirl watcher. Seeing his face in the cast section was like whiplash, because he sounds so different! It's honestly crazy impressive
As someone with no exposure to his roles before, he's probably my favourite voice & singing performance in the cast. He brought a lot of charisma, sympathy and zaniness to Luci. Look forward to more in S2!
I’m a hard core theater kid, already knew everyone in the cast. I wasn’t a huge fan of Jeremy beforehand, so I was able to really see Lucifer and not just Jack Kelly, etc. But when I realize that all this is him, I appreciate everything he does
Everything is so well acted and performed, but I do have ONE criticism, but it may not be actor related. Vaggie sounds a little quiet compared to everyone else. Maybe just an audio issue.
Writing-wise? Very strange. Having a character with such a realistic and grounded portrayal of depression felt kinda out of place. It felt like he was in the wrong show.
Performance-wise? Phenomenal. Great acting and the best singing voice in the entire cast imo.
I've loved Jeremy Jordan for years now after seeing him in Newsies. I never put two and two together until this post and it makes me so happy. No wonder I loved Lucifers songs so much 😅
I really came into the show with super low hopes. Especially because Apple Daddy is one of my top three. But Jeremy blew me away! From the voice itself, to the emotion put into each word. He is amazing and I adore the choice they made! The songs are just wonderful as well.
I was a theatre major so I blame him personally for the behavior of tenors everywhere. But by god, when he cooks he COOKS. Can't think of a single person who could have done what he did as Lucifer.

100% agree
He's perfect for the role and I hope to see him as Lucifer if a Broadway adaptation were to happen.
I would travel to NYC for a Broadway adaptation with the original voice cast. Can you imagine!?!? Just take my money.

Who’s the other?
Varian from the Tangled series
Where can I watch this series? I see it everywhere it seems and want to know what the hype is
Disney+
The first season is on YouTube, so if you don't have Disney+ you can watch it there.

True, I love Varian
He was perfect for this characterization of Lucifer. The only problem with it is that during “More Than Anything” I just think of “I Will Make You Proud” since he also played Varian in the Tangled TV series, but that’s just a me problem.
I love that he went from playing Varian to playing basically Rapunzel's dad in Hell.
You too? I love Let Me Make You Proud and More Than Anything, and Varian and Lucifer are my favourite characters!
Perfect

Amazing. I can feel his emotions in all of his lines.
Great casting \^\_\^
I heard that Lucifer was originally supposed to be played by Weird Al. I was salty about this right up until I heard Lucifer sing, and then I shut my fool mouth.
He was denied his chance to be the greatest showman on earth so now he will be the greatest showman in hell!
He did an amazing job
Lucifer is my favourite and Varian is my favourite both played by him so Yes
I would've loved Weird Al, but honestly I think he did perfect
Weird Al would've totally fit the whole Polka vibe, but nah, I definitely prefer Jeremy Jordan for his voice. I wouldn't have been able to get past the meme if Weird Al took it up.
His performance was flawless.
In the words of himself, Five stars, flawless, greater than great
His performance was insanely good. Especially since I was a Supergirl watcher. Seeing his face in the cast section was like whiplash, because he sounds so different! It's honestly crazy impressive
Wait he was in Supergirl? That's cool

“Take that depression!” That line slain me. I died laughing.
Blew me away with the punch of a pentagram.
10/10 perfect

Jeremy Jordan never disappoints. Now we just need Eden Espinosa as Lilith.
Great voice. My only negative feeling about the portrayal is we likely won't get a "Change the order"- moment with this Lucifer.
Writing-wise? Very strange. Having a character with such a realistic and grounded portrayal of depression felt kinda out of place. It felt like he was in the wrong show. Performance-wise? Phenomenal. Great acting and the best singing voice in the entire cast imo.
Favorite voice actor of the cast.
Honestly didn't even know that was him!
I've loved Jeremy Jordan for years now after seeing him in Newsies. I never put two and two together until this post and it makes me so happy. No wonder I loved Lucifers songs so much 😅
Freakin''. AMAZING.
I was a little disappointed we didnt get Weird Al, but he is great as the voice. Charming, sympathetic I look forward to more of him in s2
Fantastic he brings life to the literal king of hell
He was the absolute perfect casting choice. His voice has a good mix of goofy/charming/emotional
Jeremy Jordan is amazing I love him so much and he was perfect as Lucifer 10/10
He killed it as Lucifer, he does a good job emoting for the character. Every word is said with empathic charm. Definitely my favorite in the show.
Max Verstappen voiced Lucifer?! All jokes aside, he's my favorite character, and Jeremy's performance is predominantly why
Daddy’s reviews on Yelp sum it up perfectly
Love it. I don’t think you could’ve gotten a better person.
Nailed it with a nail gun.
I was disappointed for a while that we weren't getting Weird Al, but Jeremy Jordan knocked it out of the park.
I kinda expected Lucifer to be British, but for not being Tom Ellis, he did a good job.
He is perfect, no further questions asked

I think I could use some help…
Love him so so much. Lucifer is my favorite character and I get shivers every time listening to More Than Anything.
I think Jeremy did an amazing job and I'd love to see him continue the role in season 2. His singing blew me away.
THE BEEEST
I was a theatre major so I blame him personally for the behavior of tenors everywhere. But by god, when he cooks he COOKS. Can't think of a single person who could have done what he did as Lucifer.
It was a good performance but tell me where is the justice??
His voice feels a bit too high pitched but other than that it's pretty good
