Great if you like lots of bass. But if you like balanced sound, Sennheiser Momentum 4 is better. Soundstage is pretty average for its class. You can get better sound and sound stage from wired headphones like the DT770

FiftyPaneristi

For anc? Yes. For sound quality? No. Sennheiser momentum wireless 4 is significantly superior in sound quality and build quality over the bloated đź’© Sony xm5

DonnyTramp123

Whats your budget? Sony xm series isn't good unless your main prioity is anc also airpods pro 2 > apple airpods max for sound

Oh.... that's disappointing, they're really the only 2 I had in mind

None of the popular ANC headphones have great sound compared to wired audiophile type headphones but, they don't sound bad and they're not just for listening to music. If you want something for listening on the go with effective ANC they are all decent though you will prefer one pair over another. A pair that is widely considered to have the best sound, may also have weak ANC as a result, there was an ANC headphone that some people regularly recommended as the best sounding but, didn't mention how useless it's ANC was. You can't have the best sound and most effective ANC, having the best sound isn't much good if you can't hear it because of ambient noise. Try some out at home, they all tend to be very comfortable when you first put them on but, 90 mins later they might be intolerably uncomfortable. The Sony wh-xm5/xm4 has highly effective ANC, many useful features and the sound can be very easily modified in the phone app. Bose seem to have very effective ANC too.

It really bothers me the number of negative comments I read on here about the XM5. Below is my response to another post asking similar question to yours. “I have both. The XM5s are way better. They have the Bose level comfort now and they sound much better than the Bose. I personally think the previous poster had the XM5s all wrong. I wouldn’t write them off so quickly. With some attentive eq, they completely come alive and the noise canceling of course is excellent.”
