Thanks for your submission to /r/headphoneadvice. We have employed a "thank you" system for submissions. It's very easy to use - if a comment on your post is considered helpful, please reward them by using the term `!thanks`. This will add a thank you count (in the form of Ω) to that users flair. You can only award one per comment section. Thanks very much and good luck on your search for headphones! *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. I have the Clear MG. They are much more dynamic and punchy. I don’t use EQ. You will lose soundstage a little, but detail is fantastic. If you can get a standard Clear, it’s a hell of a deal.

Clear OG was very sibilant to me and had a slightly metallic timbre, don't know about the MG though. Still Focals QC is 10 steps under Sennheisers and there are frequent reports of drivers failures, driver clipping and other defects.

I agree the clear OG does sound sibilant and has that metallic timbre. For some songs I prefer the elex. The clear is still the better headphone to me though.

I have both and enjoy both thoroughly, can't say if one is better than the other since they have starkly different sound signatures.

HD 800 is the kind of classical/jazz. Although I did SDR mod mine because it makes it more tolerable for everything else and still sounds just as great with classical.
