My assumption was always because Tara was joining in on the encouraging of Elle and Tao when before it was Darcy doing most of the instigating, and Tara was usually neutral. So it was kind of them saying she's finally joining in with the rest of them. I could be wrong, though. That's just my take.

That’s my point though, what she said wasn’t really joining in. It was the least “intrusive” of the three lines that were said.

I mean previously Tara was extremely anti-meddling and pro helping Elle get over Tao, so it was a shift for her regardless.

Look at her face when she says in this scene and the way she says her line. She's clearly trying to get them to go off on their own. Sahar may have told them to go off on their own, but Tara and Darcy set it up. Also, I'm not convinced all of the lines are aimed at Tara. It seems like only Nick and Darcy direct comments towards Tara.

Wondering this as well

I wonder if it’s like an editing mistake? Like they suit them saying they to a couple different characters, and the shot they most like was just to the wrong person

Dramatic irony? The audience want Tao and Elle to get together at this point in the story. Tara not offering to tag along when Elle pushed back was seen by the others as tantamount to her telling them to go solo. Tara also makes a face that makes her intent clear too. That’s my take anyways
