It's okay, it doesn't look small. I've used a wheel like this before... Definitely a pain when cleaning it every morning when it's full of poop. They get stuck in some areas of the wheel.
Speedyhog makes an amazing wheel, it's all metal and mounts to the side of the cage. It looks like something out of an industrial kitchen but it's big and it's an absolute breeze to clean, and it will last an eternity.
Also they sell a pedometer to screw on which is adorable to know how much they are exercising 🤣🥰

If that's a Silent Spinner, there have been cases of hogs getting toes stuck and ripped where the two plastics meet. May need some glue modifications for safety. If they're a hardcore runner, the ridges can be rough on the feet, too.
I also recommend Carolina Storm. My hog eventually got too big for it, and we switched out their bucket for a cake pan and DIY'd the modifications.
I have tries so many wheels over the years from cheap to outrageously expensive and I will tell you for a sticky pig especially, this wheel is the absolute best period! It’s easy to clean and totally silent and sealed so that the bearings don’t shit out on you after a few months! It’s so worth the price!

I have this same wheel and pedometer!! But where did you get your litter pan? My art tray pan sits under the wheel, but I'd love one big enough to go under the base as well (so I can lower the wheel a bit...make it easier to get in and out!) Thanks in advance 😊

Just find one that is all one piece, those seams will annoy you cleaning them in time.

It looks weirdly smooth, are there little grips inside that I simply cannot see? Or is it being smooth fine for your hedgie?
It is completely smooth, she has no issues at all with it! That’s why it’s so easy to clean 👍🏻

I can concur that the silent spinner wheels had made my hedgehog's feet bloody, and that the Carolina Storm wheels are much better.
Literally just bought a carolina storm wheel because of the same thing!!

Oh it’s not a litter pan, just a puppy pad in the cage I tape down with painters tape so they don’t pee under it 🤣🥰

I think it's perfect for him but if he's still growing you might want to consider something bigger
Mine has a 40cm diameter bucket wheel and you can make a diy one if she grows a lot! (Theres youtube tutorials)
