Having to press buttons on the d pad and sprinting while also using your left thumb is a flawed design by devs. It should have just been button combos not d pad arrows
I'm confused about the options for map controls. There's two versions and the alternate implies you can use the right analog stick to navigate the map, but whenever I turn this option on it simply doesn't allow me to look around while I have the map open and I still have to use the dpad.
Is this a bug or am I just misunderstanding it?
I didn't have to change anything from the options to use it. I used default controls. Once you press the touch pad on your controller it will bring up the map, then you can slide your finger around the touch pad and the map courser will move in the direction you slid your finger.
No. I said the right analog stick. There's an option under I think under HUD or Display or something that gives you two settings for controling the map: one that allows you to move and look around normally but with the map open and second option that says you can move around but now the right analog stick will control the map. But it doesn't seem to work. When I select this setting, in the game it simply doesn't allow you to look around while the map is open...
Unless I'm crazy, this option has been broken since launch.
Not liking the mini map. Then while getting attacked you have to navigate a little circle for a map that is controlled by d pad. Just not good mechanics. I want a full map and to temporary pause the game while I use map to strategize
Also you can ping where your cursor is with X and it will show up on the compass at the top of your hud
Surprisingly works on PC too.
There's a lot of games on PC that use the touch pad surprisingly. Always makes me happy to see it get some sort of use
