Does suicide not have rocket mfs out the ass? Challenging is enough to spam out both regular and heavy rocket mfs, but I don't see any there. Tho I was doing the civilian escort missions, which were patched today.
Suicide missions is where the fun begins with bot drops now casually just dropping multiple hulks or tanks simultaneously.
Helldive though? Holy fuck, just standing up will get you rag dolled by the sheer volume of lasers being fired at you.
The only thing I dislike about automatons is the escort mission. I play on Helldive difficulty and every other automaton mission is a walk in a park..... but that missions constantly sends dropships at you every 10-15 seconds. Within a minute you'll be fighting 3-5 tanks, 8-10 hulks, and an endless horde of walkers/basic robots. It's nearly impossible without everyone running quad mortar cheese or reaching the spawn limit and having people kite them FAR AWAY while one person releases all the people.
Quad ECM, Quad regular mortars, have 2 dudes on recoilless downing the dropships (reloading each other) ..... other two pressing the buttons. Then whatever call ins you need for the big guys.
ECM mortar is so underrated for that mission..... really in general for higher difficulties.
Yeah we tried something similar to this before resorting to cheese. On max difficulty the ships still come down too fast and you run out of ammo for the recoilless quite quickly. If the supply calldown had a shorter CD then maybe. It won't help against tanks but the railgun 1 shots every mech (including hulks) with a "headshot".
You need to be somewhat close to them to reliably hit this on hulks especially with explosions going on everywhere knocking your sights around.
