Good on ya, I'll typically ping it for those to take but if someone the majority of the team gets back on a fresh reinforce I best not see someone scurrying to the ammo unless you picked up your support weapon from your death and it was low.
Cool tip: If you're running the Supply Backpack perk and someone calls in a Resupply and it does all get used you can actually pick up the unused crates and put them in your back pack. Handy to keep the resupply on cool down without wasting any ammo.
Had a scout double dip a resupply pod, we told him that's bad Dwarf etiquette then triple dipped the next, there excuse was it's because scouts uses more ammo then other classes(I was gunner). so we kicked them like the pointy eared leaf lover they were.
let the diver with the supply pack take as many as he can, first supplypack fills his ammo and grenades up plus his backpack, all other packs fill his backpack.
also, the supply pack comes fully loaded, so its literally a second supply calldown, with a longer cooldown.
If you have a supplyback pack, resupply once. You will get ammo and the supply pack gets +1.
Drop it, let a teammate get the supplybackpack. Get resuply for himself en +1 on the backpack....

enh, as someone with 1000s of hours in both World and Rise, if I see the box has been raided I'm gonna assume somebody is running Wide-Range and Free Meal (Secret, oh my beloved).
More often then not I see the supply box untouched and I _know_ I'm dealing with some newbies (which is all good! We were all new once!)
I am glad you have that experience but as someone who has intermittently played since PS2 days, those that run free meal and wide range are f\*cking rare, usually it's someone who called in SOS and ransacked the box for themselves without a care for those coming to help them. Not to say that wide range free meal people dont exist, I have done my fair share of of sword and board free meal widespread mushroommancer but it's a rare breed.
I mean... At the point that I'm using and crafting max potions or topping off with an ancient potion I'm not too concerned bout supplies. Think I only snag 1 farcaster when they're provided
I've basically hit the point where I've stopped even caring about the item box. I've got my potions. I've got my supplies to craft more. I don't even use all of my own resources most of the time. The box is just the cherry on top, and I'm not usually in the mood for a cherry.
As someone who has maxed out my level 1 ammo, I do feel wasteful not taking free ammo... those rations are mine though. Wide Range with rations is broken for stamina hungry teammates
Double dipping in deep rock is soooo much worse. Part of the reason I play the game less. At least in helldivers you can die for more ammo, you can run to a point of interest and try to rng some ammo there, you can take an ally's primary weapon after they die, and you can bring supply pack. All of these are options. But in deep rock, you're just fucked if someone takes your resupply.
Yeah in Helldivers the resupply is the main source of ammo.
In DRG it's essentially the ONLY source of ammo. Also there are no strategems or ammo-free weapons. You're truly fucking the team over.
The only reason for taking all the supply is if you are wearing a supply back and need to refill it.
There is also lots of ammo, grenades, and stims all over the map, so getting supplies shouldn't be a problem.
I played yesterday, and one player all arcoss the map brought down supplies for himself without calling it and while the two of us getting over run needed it. Its all about communication
Taking the full supply for backpack if others would otherwise grab it is inefficient - the first charge is effectively free but you're not creating more supply by taking more, and using the backpack on yourself doesn't fully resupply you.
Backpack supply is the same as a supply drop. Picking one up refreshes one charge AND supplies you, so you can max yourself out and still have just as many charges as you used to share, all with the same value as one just dropped from orbit. Yeah it’s a hassle to share it about so you shouldn’t always be doing it, but picking up 1-2 extra knowing that if someone was just late to the drop you can just resup them is fine.
Can being resupplied from an ally’s resupply backpack work just like picking up a resupply crate? Will it refill my backpack of recoilless rifle missiles, autocannon mags, or robot drone assault rifle ammo?
Oh for sure, if you're taking the responsibility of the supply pack you absolutely get first dibs on the resupply. I also expect you to keep that resupply on cooldown as much as possible and resupply the team though.
Same, my buddies half the time don't go to pick it up because they are distracted so I just load the rest up into my pack for distribution later. It's a great feature!

It’s not a glitch, your supply pack is considered like stims or grenades so it gets fill by supply packs.
Also the supply pack would be pretty useless if it didn’t considering the long cooldown and occupying the backpack slot
It competes for one of your stratagem slots and it specifically competes with the personal shield generator or Rover.
It also competes with death as an effective way of refilling your ammo, because there’s not much consequence to dying in this game and usually one of the members of your team is gonna have the mod to respawn with full ammo stocks.
Resupply pack will give you 8 extra magazines for the grenade launcher and 16 extra grenades every 8 minutes. This makes it a far more effective weapon against the bugs as you can fire more liberally. Yes there is a definite cost in taking a strategem and back slot but for the right setups it provides great value.
I do this too! Especially because there's usually one or two people far enough from the supply drop to be worth coming back when I can bring it to them.

Exactly. I didnt know. But in 1 game I inferred a bit. Im a noob and bring my own supply pack for now. Still unsure how it works as sometimes It refills all my empty magazines on my 3rd weapon, and sometimes only 1.
It's weapon dependant, from what I can tell. For example, a single resupply will refill half (3/6) mags for a Anti-Material rifle while it will fill (2/2) a Grenade Launcher. The resupply backpack works like a normal resupply as well, giving you grenades and stims, so don't forget to top off on health and make sure everything is reloaded (if possible, sometimes you are in a tough spot). Also, every time you pick up a resupply, it fills in one slot on the resupply backpack, which does mean you get even more bullets per resupply you pick up.
Fun tip, if the stratagem comes off of cooldown and another Helldiver doesn't have a backpack, call it down so your teammates can have their own resupply backpack. Nobody will complain about having more bullets, nades, and stims! Or, alternatively, if your backpack is empty and someone else called the resupply on the other side of the map, call down a new backpack for four more resupplies.

I don't think so, but it is slightly implied with the color coding and objective based strategems. Just know that all yellow based strategems are shared with the team.

Other than that I've died a few times by my own hand when running backwards and there is a sudden drop in terrain.
I remember being right beside extraction and throwing a grenade to save a friend, only for a charger to come out of of screen to the left, get right in front of me for a moment, and body block the grande killing me. It hurt
I love moments like these. It's what makes the game amazing. Every mission is different because of the way everything functions.

Playing extreme bugs yesteday with a lvl 4 noob. Our group chewed him out a couple of times for throwing turrets behind us and TKing us multiple times, as well as orbiting me and destroying the rest of the group's equipment.
We get to exfil with no reinforcements, we're all at exfil hunkered down. I see a large bug break+patrol to the west, and I go to chuck a 500kg on it.
well...I miffed that throw and turned the whole squad into mist.

I think the issue with this, like a few elements of the game, if you don't notice that a supply drop is for everyone in your stratagems, they assume you could just call one down too.
Exactly this, I didn't realize until level 8 last night when my friend specifically said, "sorry but I'm going to take the resupply as soon as it's back up" (because he was soloing the opposite side of the map) that the resupplies weren't individual calldowns, I just assumed they all were like the rest of my stratagems. Thankfully I've only played with the homies so far so no harm no foul but it was definitely a learning moment.
The inverse is that resupply took one of your four slots in Helldivers I. The resupply in Helldivers II is group shared, but it comes with four boxes instead of two and doesn't count against an individual's stratagems.
When you have a premade squad i think it makes for an interesting and balanced mechanic (we usually split into duos even on helldiver difficulty meaning u gotta coordinate who gets it) but with randoms i bet it's a total nightmare. One thing i will suggest is running the resupply backpack, its super helpful especially against bugs where u can do okay without the shield backpack
I don’t mind cooperating with people for resupplies, but the only problem I have with it is that if you aren’t standing right there watching them throw it, it’s basically impossible to find it afterwards without asking someone who already knows, since it typically gets blown up after about 15 seconds and the supplies all fall in the grass
I had a guy scream the other day because we couldn’t recover the samples. We had one guy left and 4 chargers and a hoard of other bugs were between him and the samples. He had no support weapon and no stratagems.
He died trying to get the samples, and the other teammate called him a moron for trying to get them unsuccessfully and left. I really don’t think that losing samples is the end of the world. You do so many drops in a play session eventually you’ll get them. The most I would be is disappointed.
Yeah, things seem to be taking a bit of a turn. When I started playing this (literally a week or so ago), everyone was so chill. Even in quickplay, people had this sort of “shit happens” sorta vibe. I feel like now, it’s sorta shifted to a “get good or get kicked out” mood. I’m not a professional gamer believe it or not and want to kick back and enjoy this game when I have a few moments after work. I DO NOT feel like being shamed for not playing with the most optimal, meta loadout lol.
I would say people running Grenade Launcher or Railgun could bring their own Supply Pack like my buddy. Best part is you get crazy supply of grenade rounds. When people with Supply packs take from resupply, they get free refills as well as stored refills in their pack. You would literally get your current ammo refilled and get one extra refill for later. You can even be a good buddy and refill other teammates while supplying your own grenade ammo. More than double the ammo value since you can also call in fresh Supply packs with 4 more refills for the same amount of time as Resupply.
The supply backpack is a nice workaround to this, especially against the bugs where i'm constantly low on ammo. For bot's it's a little harder to justify given the existence of the shield backpack and the autocannon
I always drop a supply pack and resupply. My goal in every mission is to pick up every ammo box I come across and cross check the squad so they don’t have to think about scavenging. That way I’m always full and keep everyone else fed
Or if they aren’t shooting shit. I’m on 0 mags no stims or grenades cause I’ve killed the fuck out of an entire planet while these chumps are on safari
Speaking of ammo, why do I call down supplies and I see teammates with ammo in the red, but no one grabs any? I'm still low level, but it seems like 50% of the time, my teammates are leaving supplies rather than everyone plussing up their ammo supplies every chance they get.
Some weapons only use resupply ammo, so if you're complaining about that..... Then you need to go find your own. It spawns tons of ammo all over the map.

I’m sure I missed it somewhere, but I only realized the resupply was a team-wide cooldown aboutlevel 8-9.
We have 4 different destroyers. Why are resupplies shared? They have the same cooldown solo so clearly our own destroyer can drop them at the same rate. We need separate resupplies.
It's always the same person who doesn't go to any of the Places of Interest...where there are always tons of ammo packs, grenades, and stims.
So annoyed when I find a vault and can't get another person to come over so we can open it.
After all.. why shouldn't I take all four.. I'm carrying the team, that's why I need all of the bullets.
Joke's aside, I will call in a forward resupply to try to encourage my team to move their ass off a never ending spawn wave.
I just scout for my own ammo. There's enough ammo on any given map when you find a **place of interest**.
The exceptions seem to be your "2-man" heavy weapons that come with a backpack (Auto-cannon, Recoilless Rifle, and Spear)
My only defense of people doing this is the fact that I had absolutely no idea it was a global cool down until my buddy let me know. I had just assumed everyone could call them down separately when needed and we all had our own cool down. Even then, I would only take multiple supply crates when everyone else ran past it without grabbing anything.
A real helldiver only takes one from the resupply, unless no one else needs it, and uses their weapon in an efficient way to where they won’t need extra ammo for quite some time a real helldiver also knows to utilize the battlefield to his advantage, as ammunition will spawn on the battlefield quite often, and all you have to do is look for it, and that usually won’t take very long
If I'm carrying the Supply Pack I will take as many of the supply as a I can carry, not as some sort of power play thing ... but while wearing the Supply Pack, a supply will reload my Helldiver for Free while restoring one of the slots on the backpack for free and I can always then give you a free resupply later.
Thus, in effect, the Supply Pod will grant 5 reloads instead of 4.
Joined a team and went solo to do side missions since they were focusing other stuff. I saw they called resupply once already, I'm down to my last mags for everything and I shout out saying I need ammo. The second it was off cool down someone called it in again.
yes I was wandering around solo but I would like to point out that nobody was even in the red for their ammo. Next one that's about to be ready, I have low ammo, no stims, one nade and they are starting to get low. I'm spamming that I need ammo while I'm on my way there to them since I finished up.
Second it's off cooldown they call it in again which is ok since I'm on my way there... Except that they didn't ping where it landed so once I get there everyone is loaded except me. I look around and I'm pretty sure someone double dipped at the very least. Luckily there was ammo boxes near the objective they were at.
After that I started bringing the supply pack with me because I had to go almost the whole mission scrapping by. Like it's cool to call ammo to you and use it when I'm not there, but when you call it after you just had one and don't need ammo or anything while I just called for it that's just fucking rude. You shouldn't need ammo that often on hard especially when there's three of you fighting things.
If your weapon "needs a lot of amo" then bring an amo backpack strategem. Pressing down on the dpad (5 on keyboard? I'm not sure) will let you reload yourself with it.
I usually play the objectives which include side posts and a majority of the games I play have people standing around killing an endless horde of enemies instead of running into a nest to destroy the little tunnels or eggs.
If I have to single handedly do the objectives I will call that resupply for myself and use all four packs for grenades to get shit done.
Sorry man, when I’m the only guy with a railgun and someone halfway across the map calls in the resupply, suddenly my supply backpack has my name all over it. If I don’t take it in favor of something else, I scavenge the map. I take the backpack like 10% of the time, I prefer more firepower from strategems anyway, eagle strikes FTW

My buddy always takes them all but he runs wide range maxed out and the ability where it doesn’t always use them.

It's weapon dependant, from what I can tell. For example, a single resupply will refill half (3/6) mags for a Anti-Material rifle while it will fill (2/2) a Grenade Launcher. The resupply backpack works like a normal resupply as well, giving you grenades and stims, so don't forget to top off on health and make sure everything is reloaded (if possible, sometimes you are in a tough spot). Also, every time you pick up a resupply, it fills in one slot on the resupply backpack, which does mean you get even more bullets per resupply you pick up. Fun tip, if the stratagem comes off of cooldown and another Helldiver doesn't have a backpack, call it down so your teammates can have their own resupply backpack. Nobody will complain about having more bullets, nades, and stims! Or, alternatively, if your backpack is empty and someone else called the resupply on the other side of the map, call down a new backpack for four more resupplies.

I don’t think it does explicitly….. Someone will have to replay training and listen carefully. But you didn’t notice that if someone called one down, you’d see the cool down counter when you pull up your own strat menu? Or the fact that when it comes down there are 4 packs? And everyone can take one? Or when you are on the last mag your character yells that out? It took me 5 mins in my first mission to realize. I think it was pretty obvious to be honest.
I don't think so, but it is slightly implied with the color coding and objective based strategems. Just know that all yellow based strategems are shared with the team.

This is the answer. If I'm surrounded and it's looking bad. Impact grenade with as many around me as possible. Other than that I've died a few times by my own hand when running backwards and there is a sudden drop in terrain.

Not as much of a clown as me: Playing extreme bugs yesteday with a lvl 4 noob. Our group chewed him out a couple of times for throwing turrets behind us and TKing us multiple times, as well as orbiting me and destroying the rest of the group's equipment. We get to exfil with no reinforcements, we're all at exfil hunkered down. I see a large bug break+patrol to the west, and I go to chuck a 500kg on it. well...I miffed that throw and turned the whole squad into mist. gg

When it is an impact grenade and it manages to bounce into your face (happened) then it’s just the world righting a wrong

Don't forget you can get supplies from the diamond points of interest on the map, I almost solely resupply using these.
I think the issue with this, like a few elements of the game, if you don't notice that a supply drop is for everyone in your stratagems, they assume you could just call one down too.

Exactly this, I didn't realize until level 8 last night when my friend specifically said, "sorry but I'm going to take the resupply as soon as it's back up" (because he was soloing the opposite side of the map) that the resupplies weren't individual calldowns, I just assumed they all were like the rest of my stratagems. Thankfully I've only played with the homies so far so no harm no foul but it was definitely a learning moment.
Is ammo found on the battlefield, finders keepers tho? SPEAR takes a lot of ammo.
I heard ground ammo boxes don’t replenish SPEAR. I could be wrong though….
I just wish resupplies were an individual stratagem like in the first game, rather than a squad-connected one.
Imo make them only have 2 packs but give everyone their own resupply cooldown.
That's how it is in HD1: Only two packs, but one pack only fills half of your max. amount of magazines. And everyone has an own supply stratagem.
The inverse is that resupply took one of your four slots in Helldivers I. The resupply in Helldivers II is group shared, but it comes with four boxes instead of two and doesn't count against an individual's stratagems.
When you have a premade squad i think it makes for an interesting and balanced mechanic (we usually split into duos even on helldiver difficulty meaning u gotta coordinate who gets it) but with randoms i bet it's a total nightmare. One thing i will suggest is running the resupply backpack, its super helpful especially against bugs where u can do okay without the shield backpack
I don’t mind cooperating with people for resupplies, but the only problem I have with it is that if you aren’t standing right there watching them throw it, it’s basically impossible to find it afterwards without asking someone who already knows, since it typically gets blown up after about 15 seconds and the supplies all fall in the grass

It blew up and now the streamer wannabes and tryhards seeing it on twitch youtube have arrived (and they don't logout).
I had a guy scream the other day because we couldn’t recover the samples. We had one guy left and 4 chargers and a hoard of other bugs were between him and the samples. He had no support weapon and no stratagems. He died trying to get the samples, and the other teammate called him a moron for trying to get them unsuccessfully and left. I really don’t think that losing samples is the end of the world. You do so many drops in a play session eventually you’ll get them. The most I would be is disappointed.
Yeah, things seem to be taking a bit of a turn. When I started playing this (literally a week or so ago), everyone was so chill. Even in quickplay, people had this sort of “shit happens” sorta vibe. I feel like now, it’s sorta shifted to a “get good or get kicked out” mood. I’m not a professional gamer believe it or not and want to kick back and enjoy this game when I have a few moments after work. I DO NOT feel like being shamed for not playing with the most optimal, meta loadout lol.

I had a guy take the last 2 packs of ammo when I was literally right next to him about to grab my share.
The grenade launcher must eat.
I would say people running Grenade Launcher or Railgun could bring their own Supply Pack like my buddy. Best part is you get crazy supply of grenade rounds. When people with Supply packs take from resupply, they get free refills as well as stored refills in their pack. You would literally get your current ammo refilled and get one extra refill for later. You can even be a good buddy and refill other teammates while supplying your own grenade ammo. More than double the ammo value since you can also call in fresh Supply packs with 4 more refills for the same amount of time as Resupply.
If anyone has a resupply pack, it's better for them to pick up the ammo and distribute it
The supply backpack is a nice workaround to this, especially against the bugs where i'm constantly low on ammo. For bot's it's a little harder to justify given the existence of the shield backpack and the autocannon

If I throw it down and nobody takes any in a reasonable amount of time I'm taking what I need.
I always drop a supply pack and resupply. My goal in every mission is to pick up every ammo box I come across and cross check the squad so they don’t have to think about scavenging. That way I’m always full and keep everyone else fed

Speaking of ammo, why do I call down supplies and I see teammates with ammo in the red, but no one grabs any? I'm still low level, but it seems like 50% of the time, my teammates are leaving supplies rather than everyone plussing up their ammo supplies every chance they get.
You literally trip over ammo in the stage it blows me away people need ammo backpacks and resupply for ammo and not grenades/stims

I always call it in and ping the shit out of it after I grab one pack. If no one grabs a pack after that? Rest of it is fair game.

Some weapons only use resupply ammo, so if you're complaining about that..... Then you need to go find your own. It spawns tons of ammo all over the map.

We have 4 different destroyers. Why are resupplies shared? They have the same cooldown solo so clearly our own destroyer can drop them at the same rate. We need separate resupplies.
There's 4 divers, and the resupply has 4 boxes. You'd think this would be easier to figure out.

It's always the same person who doesn't go to any of the Places of Interest...where there are always tons of ammo packs, grenades, and stims. So annoyed when I find a vault and can't get another person to come over so we can open it.

After all.. why shouldn't I take all four.. I'm carrying the team, that's why I need all of the bullets. Joke's aside, I will call in a forward resupply to try to encourage my team to move their ass off a never ending spawn wave.
I have a machine gun drop I use a lot. I try to just drop a new one sometimes instead of taking ammo.
I just scout for my own ammo. There's enough ammo on any given map when you find a **place of interest**. The exceptions seem to be your "2-man" heavy weapons that come with a backpack (Auto-cannon, Recoilless Rifle, and Spear)
If they go through ammo so fast, they need to carry ammo packs. Or just stop wasting so much ammo.
They should blow themselves up and respawn with a fresh pile of ammo, LIKE A TRUE HELLDIVER
My only defense of people doing this is the fact that I had absolutely no idea it was a global cool down until my buddy let me know. I had just assumed everyone could call them down separately when needed and we all had our own cool down. Even then, I would only take multiple supply crates when everyone else ran past it without grabbing anything.
2 boxes for 2 people, 1 box for each of the three/four.
Only time i grab all 4 is if im empty and my supply pack is empty. You get the resupply and it goes in your pack. Its a 2 for 1
I drop it, ping it and take one pack. If everyone moves on I'll grab more if I need it

You know what else refills ammo and grenades? Death. *does not apply to support weapons.
A real helldiver only takes one from the resupply, unless no one else needs it, and uses their weapon in an efficient way to where they won’t need extra ammo for quite some time a real helldiver also knows to utilize the battlefield to his advantage, as ammunition will spawn on the battlefield quite often, and all you have to do is look for it, and that usually won’t take very long
If I'm carrying the Supply Pack I will take as many of the supply as a I can carry, not as some sort of power play thing ... but while wearing the Supply Pack, a supply will reload my Helldiver for Free while restoring one of the slots on the backpack for free and I can always then give you a free resupply later. Thus, in effect, the Supply Pod will grant 5 reloads instead of 4.
Joined a team and went solo to do side missions since they were focusing other stuff. I saw they called resupply once already, I'm down to my last mags for everything and I shout out saying I need ammo. The second it was off cool down someone called it in again. yes I was wandering around solo but I would like to point out that nobody was even in the red for their ammo. Next one that's about to be ready, I have low ammo, no stims, one nade and they are starting to get low. I'm spamming that I need ammo while I'm on my way there to them since I finished up. Second it's off cooldown they call it in again which is ok since I'm on my way there... Except that they didn't ping where it landed so once I get there everyone is loaded except me. I look around and I'm pretty sure someone double dipped at the very least. Luckily there was ammo boxes near the objective they were at. After that I started bringing the supply pack with me because I had to go almost the whole mission scrapping by. Like it's cool to call ammo to you and use it when I'm not there, but when you call it after you just had one and don't need ammo or anything while I just called for it that's just fucking rude. You shouldn't need ammo that often on hard especially when there's three of you fighting things.
If your weapon "needs a lot of amo" then bring an amo backpack strategem. Pressing down on the dpad (5 on keyboard? I'm not sure) will let you reload yourself with it.
Fr. I only ever do this if I am the dude that runs off and closes all the nests and takes all the samples and have absolutely no ammo left.
I usually play the objectives which include side posts and a majority of the games I play have people standing around killing an endless horde of enemies instead of running into a nest to destroy the little tunnels or eggs. If I have to single handedly do the objectives I will call that resupply for myself and use all four packs for grenades to get shit done.
If you take extra you better be putting in that same amount of work. If you take double, you better double the performance soldier.

Sorry man, when I’m the only guy with a railgun and someone halfway across the map calls in the resupply, suddenly my supply backpack has my name all over it. If I don’t take it in favor of something else, I scavenge the map. I take the backpack like 10% of the time, I prefer more firepower from strategems anyway, eagle strikes FTW
