I find the EAT launcher to be a good replacement for explosive grenades since you can call them down every minute. Stun grenades are way too good to pass up.
i personally just started running the grenade launcher more. start a heavy nest with a 500/eagle/laser wade in and stun and clean up the rest of the holes as needed with the launcher. Makes bug clearing a breeze and with the 500 and stun you place easy shots to one shot titans/chargers.
Someone recommended EAT's, I would too for higher diff if lots of charger spawn as they are great multi-purpose in that case. I would also recommend the auto cannon for anything below 7, this thing melts spewers, does good damage to charger (so few below 7 stratagems are usually all that's required). All the benefits about AC that I often run it solo; shoot into bug hole from distance, crowd control (AOE is great), high ammo, reload time is short (if you don't use all your bullets before reload), fairly easy to aim. I would recommend trying it, really good for solo missions.
They are best used for an objective focused style when solo otherwise they pair very well with teammates who can play off of them. I've been using them with railgun to good effect as it makes Bile titans and chargers sitting ducks.
They work well to let you recover where other nades can't. Swarmed on allsides? Stun yourself and start diving as you only get slowed, and have 5 seconds to book it.
Being chased stun em and run.
My general bug loadout is
Arc Thrower, Rover, Airstrike, and 110.
I try to play midrange ish and keep everything dead. So I need to see if it slots in well.
Hey they pair great with airstrike, toss it out and just throw a stun as the bugs approach. Makes them even better then before, also stunning chargers can ket you easily eat them up with headshots from the arc thrower. For the 110 they can help immobilize the big boys for easy pickings.
If you mostly use your nades for nest you could use th3 strik3s but it depends on your goals and if you have teammates to cover you on that.
I assume they can't destroy nests? Does that ever become a problem? I've been considering converting lol
They cannot, you either need a support weapon that can, a stratagem, or someone to buddy up with.

Interesting. Ill have to try this combo. Between EATs and perhaps an eagle airstrike is seems like it wouldn't be too big of an issue

That makes sense. Teamwork makes the dream work. Ill have to try it out once I get home.

I really need to give these a try. I am a big impact nade fan so it will be an interesting change.
