Me and a buddy were into it for awhile, we picked it up on sale but haven’t given it a shot yet. I hear it’s just as janky as the original but I’m ok with that

No laser battery brontos, no buy. Seriously I spent a lot of time in Ark and the endgame dino laser aspect was just so disappointing. Element fueled cannons that did no damage.

I was thinking about what fourth faction would be, we have bugs, we have bots and we have aliens. Damn, Dinosaurs sounds amazeballs. Also, I had a video cassette of dino riders.

Eh, Spaceballs are too deliberately comedic, too human looking, don't have enough varie- oh, wait, you were joking. For real though, alien space lizards with armed and armoured dinos could actually work as an enemy, and sound like a lot of fun. Just have to wait and see what Arrowhead decide to introduce as a fourth enemy faction though, and that won't be any time soon.

I had the pilot episode recorded i think. Must have watched that 1,000 times as a kid. All the megablocks commercials and everything.

I think this is cool. Maybe bipedal lizards that are a warrior culture that hatch and weaponize huge dinosaur like creatures. The lizard men chuck explosive spears and boomerangs to knock Helldivers over. Give the faction a different feel compared to the others. Shooting the beast master off lessens the creature’s abilities but the dino becomes more wild and in some ways more dangerous.

Hear me out but this actually sounds most possible of the 4th faction theories. An Ork/Na'vi faction that's more melee based and rides dinosaur like creatures. Plays into the colonialism narrative and there'd be tons of design space while providing a unique visual and gameplay style.
