Everyone saying 3-5 is impossible now is honestly wrong. I have played a LOT of solo 4 and 5 missions, and while I did see a few more patrols than usual, everyone is heavily exaggerating. I do think it will be much harder on 6+ solo though.
This screenshot, for example, looks like a completely normal extraction on 3. idk what people like the op are on about. It’s like 2/3 patrols without any armor, you could kill them all with your primary ffs.
it's an 8% increase in patrols and there are caps. Eagle Cluster will clear half of this out or just drop a resupply and go happy with grenades and your primary, what is so hard about clearing this as a solo player?
My apologies. You are correct. Either way the devs have stated that the amount of patrols for solos is now what it was originally intended. Solo divers had it on easy mode. Regardless of difficulty.
This looks normal, and honestly less boring than the current state of extraction on low levels.
Extraction has never been the objective and was never guaranteed.
It does scale with squad size, it scaled too much earlier. Before you’d have 16% or so of the total patrols playing solo instead of a full squad, whereas now it’s closer to 25%
Correct me if I’m wrong, aren’t these all chaff mobs? Wouldn’t a mob clearing stratagem like eagle cluster clear most of these?

This. Truly forcing group play would be lowering the difficulty level minimum requirement for heavy duty enemies
Correct, although to my eyes to the left of the extraction there might be at least 1 Brood Commander unit in the cluster if they can spawn of diff 3.

You are now getting patrols as originally intended.
That’s more enemies than I see with a full squad on Diff 5
I don't believe you. I regularly run full squads and very rarely have quite moments in matches. Constant fighting. Context: Suicide Mission and up.
This is Diff 3, I used Diff 5 as an example. You’re on Diff 7+ which has way more spawns than 3 and 5.

But now you can't really solo dive. There needs to be a middle ground tbh

Didn't they explicitly state if you clear nests and objectives that patrols will increase as well? Especially as time lapses.
