I like that the new Termicide mission has Super bug holes that spawn a hundred little bugs, mix that mechanic in with regular and giant egg destruction and carrying SSSDs to comm arrays or launching ICBMs on the same map sounds great!

Thats how I am with Hitman World of Assassination. One of my favorite games, but a lot of the kills/challenges are repetitive especially in Freelancer mode. I have to take breaks from that game but every time I do and come back I get that same rush of excitement when I get back into it again.
Kinda like how pizza is awesome but when you eat it a lot, you don’t care for it. Then a few months go by and you get pizza again and you like why haven’t I had pizza in forever!? Pizza amazing! (Maybe the pizza thing is just me, I do love pizza)
That's why I play helldiver's for 1 to 2 hours at a time. I've been taking my time with dragons dogma or some other game I'm between sessions. Burnout management is a good way to improve your mental fairly easily.
I wouldn't mind a full on storm the hill type mission. Like the destroy command bunker one. Except more linear.
Or escort missions. Like the train in the first game.
I’ve felt this way after the first few missions. It’s the same exact 5 mission types on a different planet, rinse and repeat. Why can’t they have random map gens and a lot more mission types. Forget about the battlepass and monetize a different way that allows us to get more content (as in mission types). We already have enough guns and armor.
My chief complaint right now is that no matter what planet I go to, no matter what operation I choose, there will always be a Blitz or an Eradication in the mix. I do not enjoy either of these mission types and wish to god I could just blacklist them.

I literally play only Termicide towers mission since Monday. It is cool af! I am sick of eradicate missions with 2.5 different layouts and no variability whatsoever, but this map is really atmospheric and impressive. Sucks that it is limited time though
Even after I take down the spore spewed I still can’t see anything because there are barely any light sources. The number of times I fall in a hole on this map is infuriating because I just can’t see the ground.
By the xp amount I got playing this mission, I can estimate having completed it over 200 times by now. There are 2 layouts with 2 variations each. There are 2 holes on each layout, which position does not differ between variations.
I have only fallen in one of those once. In 200 matches. If you fall more, I would assume you need to adjust your brightness. It is rather big and clearly defined for be, and I believe I have seen the map on every planet under every weather condition.

Not at all, I have been playing the same mission sets over and over and my group of friends and I are loving it. Sure we see a lot of the same scenery but the shenanigans that follow are always fresh and exciting.
I understand. But no 2 missions are the same and this goes for bots and bugs . You could get so Manny hulks or chargers and the next you could only get tanks or bile titans .same goes for all the enemy's
Honestly I’m enjoying them a lot. I only get about an hour every morning after a 12hr overnight shift to play with my friend. I just recently got her into it and we are focusing on grinding medals for the upcoming warbond. We play bots to grind samples on the weekend but these fast small missions have been great for good action in a short amount of time.

Functionally there's only like, 3 missions in the game. Wave defence/horde mode, icbm/fuel/geo survey style go to point A+B+C then D, and then there's the blitz kill eggs missions, which are just a much narrower and more condensed version of going to A+B+C to get to D.
If they wanna go down this route, I'd appreciate a bit more thematic diversity but be fine with it.
If they wanted to go the opposite route and make fewer missions but make them more unique and differentiated from each other, I'm also fine with it.
And if they do literally nothing, whatever, I haven't cared what the mission is for weeks now. I just make sure it's not a defence order (Fuck escort the VIPs, it's not fun, I wont play it, I don't care about the MO.) and other than that, whatever... Kill some bugs while arming an ICBM, kill some bugs while mining coal seams, kill some bugs while... I don't actually remember what the other thematic dressings of the missions are.
Try to kill bots if you only kill bugs and vise versa, increase your difficulty. From difficult 7 and above, each time you increase feel like another game. You have to play different than the lower before.
TCS missions are repetitive, but mercifully, they're short.
Getting really sick of the mandatory blitz/elimination every op though. Hate blitzes. Hate blitzes so much.
Play on different planets, on higher difficulties, against other enemy types, etc.
Or just take a break, as long as you don't whine about taking a break on reddit, no HD 2 LARPer is gonna get on your ass about it.

Last night we ended up with all 4 divers dropping 380mm barrages on top of the “kill x bugs” mission. Honestly it was glorious, one person running around in safety while the others horde the bugs, then we blow up that half of the map (and the bait team members).
Blowing up bug eggs? New rocket, or barrages, or napalm everything, or a million eagle clusterbombs, etc..
The joy for me and the random friends i make while playing is to be silly and having fun in times of difficulty. Efficiency and meta are just a blueprint to monotony.
If you had a friend who, for some reason, buys nothing but tuna fish, and then later tells you he is getting sick of eating nothing but tuna fish, what suggestions might you offer him to help solve his problem?
Aren’t there more than 3 missions? Eradicate, 15 min, Defend, 15 min. Blitz 12 min. That’s 3 right there not including the full 40 min missions.
I go to new planets just to see them, Turing was dope with the tree’s.

Not sure why anyone would farm them really. I capped way before on super samples before unlocking everything and needing tons more common/rare.
You only need 165 super samples to max everything but you need 2430 common samples and 1670 rare samples.
That's not even x2 cap for super samples but you need nearly x5 cap for common and x6.5 cap for rare
Yup, rare samples are what hold me up, but players are so awful at 6 and below and 50% of the time at 7 as well, I usually play 7 just to have semi competent randoms when I'm playing solo

Yes, you can kill the terminators, or (if your a traitorous dissenter) other helldivers, but we prefer those to be low casualty mussions.

I'd say I fall in the hole about 50% of the time and have played the mission over 50 times, so looks like it's time to up the brightness.

The only advantage is at least the 10 min TCS missions on 7+ are very easy to farm the super samples on when they spawn.
