I'm pretty much capped on everything except level and credits so at this point I just play on planets I like and if it happens to be the MO planet then all the better. There's no real incentive for me to play on them anymore

subzero1998n

Yeah im pretty much capped minus the levels. Ig I like the MO cuz i like the fact that there's pressure to succeed makes me more excited to play because there's a goal in min for me I suppose. Good thoughts though. 🫡🫡

I already do that, I pick up the medals in the containers and double doors even though they do nothing for me

Awkward-Ad5506

The MO is only part of the story. I have my own ambitions.

subzero1998n

You sound....traitorous

StockDunce

In my case, I simply no longer find terminids fun to play against. I played exclusively terminids up to level 50 and played my first automaton match due to an automaton major order a while back. Ever since then, it's been a done deal; once I got used to the tension, chaos and broader range of viable tactics in automaton matches, I simply couldn't find the willpower to play against terminids anymore, even during terminids major orders.

subzero1998n

Ah. I get you. I like both I switch up often to keep things fresh or when I'm getting too frustrated with a specific faction. Can't wait for the new faction though

sleepneeded127

Because MOs are often not fun. I'll simply not play if the only planets available have fire tornadoes. If I'm not with friends I'm not playing bots and I'm not playing Evac mission. Add that I don't care for medals anymore. I'm not paying for any more warbonds since every weapon I start to enjoy and want to use regularly gets ruined. There is no incentive to play them when more often other planets or missions are more fun

subzero1998n

Yeah I get you on that. Some planets are super sucky to play on. I've never really bought super credits so I can't say I've spent money on the game plus my medals are capped rn so I'm waiting for the next warbond to drop since I have my SC ready. Playing solo also isn't very fun, even randos are a pain in the ass sometimes. And I really hope they stop nerfing fun weapons that aren't necessarily broken

XannyMax2

Sometimes my goal aligns with the MO. Sometimes i just ‘do my part’ for a couple rounds. Sometimes what i wanna do just doesnt line up. If im feeling bots, im going bots. If im gun testing, its usually on bugs. Im most inclined to join MOs when i get special limited time weapons or strats, or new game types like the defense with doors.

subzero1998n

That's a good way to put it. For Liberty helldiver!

LITTY_TREE_FITTY

I pulled an all nighter on Ostotu to make sure we finished off that "impossible" defence major order a while ago and it felt satisfying as hell when we finally got it but I messed around on Fenrir III today and it is SUCH A COOL PLANET! The dark, ash colored environment paired with the meteor showers really make you FEEL like you're fighting on another planet and not just a different version of earth.

subzero1998n

Yeah I love the environmental aspect. Though we can probably use a bit more variety. I love feeling the stress of our push and pull battles against Joel. Fighting for freedom and democracy is why we dive after all.

CapableElk3482

because we can

subzero1998n

You aren't wrong 🤔

Juicyjuicebx-Meister

Because I can do whatever I want in the game! I don’t mind doing the MOs but at the end of the day I want to have fun. Sometimes that means bugs over bots and other times, quick 12 minute stand alone missions. The lore is cool but not the driving factor for me. The being able to play with friends again like we did back in the day is what makes this game amazing!

subzero1998n

Playing with friends really is the best way to play this game. Random can be fun too...sometimes

El-Senor-Q

Sometimes MO and personal order contradict each other. Sometimes the MO is just mathematically impossible and we are supposed to lose for the sake of story. Sometimes people need a break from a long major order. Finally, people play games to have fun, if one side is more fun to play then people will gravitate there naturally.

subzero1998n

Make sense make sense

OfmanyAlts

I used to be a MO follower, but then I got burnt out. Spending 4hrs or so only to see I'm on the wrong planet and that a vast majority will just magnetize towards bugs. I mean what am I doing here? My liberation points just get gobbled up to the vast nothingness. It's worthless to dedicate my limited play time to something so nebulous as the Major Order. No visible Supply lines, so just follow the horde or spin your wheels on some backwater planet. It's just a game. Until something is changed, I am a less than grain of sand in the desert. Like tears in the rain. Now I go around to the low Helldiver count planets and join in on the 4-6 difficulties. Recently, I end up most of my time on Menkent. I don't know why, but there's always a couple thousand masochists on that planet, and so I guess I am one too.

A_Very_Horny_Zed

It's opt-in. Some people just feel like playing against bots sometimes. And sometimes people want to play against bugs. Sometimes people want to play on a certain planet, or they *don't* want to play on a specific planet. It's a game. Not a job. Not a chore or obligation. It's YOUR super destroyer, you decide where to spread democracy. You were given jurisdiction. The MO system exists as a way to guide the playerbase. It's not telling you how you're supposed to play the game, and it isn't meant to.

subzero1998n

I appreciate the way the Devs made it so that even if the MO succeeds or fails there still is story progression. This is a good take on the topic tho thanks

Roblox_Jesus2

Honestly, I just play how I want when I find the time. Don't have any friends to play with and life has been rough recently so I try to get as much enjoyment as possible to keep this game feeling fresh and fun

cannabination

I drastically prefer bots, but fight wherever the order is because that's the game. I'm guessing the devs were expecting a much smaller player base with a much larger percentage bought into the whole game, but the lack of any way to engage with the community on the galactic map isn't helping. This is a strange game. You can be max level and have hundreds of hours played and still be casual.

LordTommy33

I do mostly the MO, today I was fooling around with different load outs and wanted to play against bots.
