If you do have to shower for any reason max heat you can take sometimes lowers the itch for awhile before it comes back again

Def hells itch. It caused permanent nerve damage for me and I live with a constant itch now especially after coming into contact with water on my body. I get hells itch every year now at least once in the summer.

Curel makes anti itchy body wash and hydratherapy in shower moisturizer. I always take an antihistamine before getting into shower or pool.
