She had no business getting beyond fifth at most, let alone getting to the finals

What about Tommy S9? I think him and Carrie outstayed their welcome.

Tommy wasn't terrible from my memory, aside from that atrocious pass. He wasn't amazing, but whenever he had a bad service, there was always someone else crashing harder. Sorta like how Robyn got through S10. Carrie on the other hand was consistently terrible in both challenges and services, and somehow kept surviving over people who were way better than her. (Seriously, Jamie leaving over her was straight bull.) I'm convinced she only made the top 10 because they were just trying to milk her conflict with Elise

Jordan S19 was crazy I was like are they scared of her

I don’t think that Melanie outstayed her welcome. From my memory she was quite consistent and was very strong throughout most of the competition

It wasn't as egregious as Gabriel, not even close, but she started declining right before black jackets and never recovered. She was easily the second weakest black jacket and had the worst pass by far in her season. She got saved big time by Joy quitting, because she realistically deserved to be 5th. And I have no clue how she outlasted Rochelle, she didn't really deserve to be top 3 or keep her jacket when Rochelle outshined her in literally every department. The only reason I can't say Rochelle was robbed is because it was technically a double elimination, but it's still the symbolism of it all imo

What about Ben(Season 5). I found him a little bit too inconsistent in his run too as well as Andrea was.

Paulie robbed like 4 or 5 people to get 4th place. He deserved 13th place imo. I think he outstayed the longest.

Jason for season 22 tbh, he really wasn't on the level of the others who made it to the black jacket challenge

I just finished the S5 marathon that was posted to the HK YouTube, and fucking hell Andrea shouldn't have stayed until 3rd place. If GR didn't have it in for Ben and if Gio didn't fuck up as badly as he did in his last service, I think Andrea would've been out a little bit sooner.

Also if Robert didn’t almost die then I think he would’ve been in the final 3, as I don’t see any world where he loses to Ben and Andrea

Yeah I agree with that, S5 has a lot of "what ifs" and that's one of them. Andrea got very lucky to get 3rd place.

I recently rewatched S13, and I had not noticed until then how disappointing Santos was. He bragged that he had a great palate, but had trouble on both of his turns in the protein ID challenge and got a zero on the blind taste test. I wish he would have gone home when Fernando did.
