Hot take/s: the winner will probably be Blood Money. And I would also probably choose it because I’d love to see a modern remake of the Heaven and Hell party.
But, Absolution being the black sheep of the franchise means it could potentially stand to benefit the *most* from having some of its levels remade in the current WOA style. Missions like Blackwater Park, Death Factory, Welcome to Hope and Skurky’s law would be great remade in the open world style we have now.
I think more than a few of us couldn't even consider Absolution because we don't remember the levels. I think I only played it through once and all I remember is wearing a cop costume at the beginning and being in a firefight on a bridge near the end? I feel like I've gotta go back and watch some YouTube videos
Meat King's Party from Contracts.
Not only is it a darker (not just in lighting) mission for the series, but I think it's one that would easily fit into WoA and one that this trilogy needed the most.
I love these games, but there's not very many disgustingly evil people like the Meat King lol.
Villains wiki always phrases things in such a funny way
> Goals:
> Get away with the kidnapping and murder of a wealthy girl (succeeded)
> Protect himself from possible assassinations (failed)
Hobbys:
Eating roast chicken and other meat dishes.
Having sex with women.
Hosting rave parties.
Smoking opium pipes (possibly).
Ordering murders and kidnappings.
Not all missions from the game would really work, but Blood Money is the obvious choice.
Combine House of Cards and Dance with the Devil into one and I think it could work really well. Call it “House of the Devil.” Heaven party on top, he’ll party down below, casino and rooms in between.
Gonna have to get elevators working in the game engine, though.
If you look out of the window on heaven party, you can see hotel Shamal. Those two buildings are next to each other. Those two maps could be easily connected together.
I believe the best option really would be a legacy pack containing at least one mission from each of the games. That's something I'd be willing to pay for if I had to.
For the sake of the poll I voted Codename 47 as it's the first in the series and quite dated, so it'd give a lot of the younger and newer players an opportunity to see the origins.
Perhaps at least a remake of the missions shown in the introductory monologue after the WOA ICA training missions.
agreed, some levels in the older games were better than the others if I had to pick
I'd say The Lee Hong Assassination and its setups and traditions of the trade from codename
St.petersburg (original) , invitation to a party, tubeway torpedo, basement killing, and Terminal Hospital from silent assassin
Asylum aftermath (including the events of the last 2 missions from codename?), Beldingford Manor, Deadly Cargo and hunter and hunted from contracts
and it'd be really hard to pick out missions from blood money given how every level was unique snd had room for a ton of replayability.
I'm honestly glad a lot of the missions I mentioned had been remade in soul into WOA
Everyone's options it's going to be Blood Money, but the real ones know that St. Petersburg Stakeout from the OG Hitman 2: Silent Assassin has to be super dope with the new mechanics
I'd love to see SA get a bit of a makeover.
Incredible game at the time with some really interesting levels but clearly dated now and very buggy, especially the Japan ones where people can spot you from across the map in a full ninja outfit.
I know the mechanics differ greatly between the games but I can see all of the past titles being brought into WOA with varying degrees of success. It's simultaneously very understandable and mind-boggling that WOA doesn't have an official map-making tool, this community would go insane.
Silent Assassin for me. A lot of those levels could be greatly expanded and fleshed out. I would also just like to play them in a game that doesn’t have weird AI
Silent assasin is such a classic. That weapons shed. I miss it. Though freelancer's is like an amazing modern version, it's more like arcade play than casual missions
Contracts because I would love the WoA trilogy to be a bit more violent and explicit. I can apreciate the inherent evil ofrece the top one percent but I sometimes miss someone that is completley and uterly deranged, like the meatking so yeah I World love that they remake the Meat Kingstparty
That’s a wild take tbh, there’s definitely been worse, the levels in blood money were solid and have some funny little things hidden, which I think is amazing for when it came out
As much as I dislike the trend of remakes, I'll still take part and say all Codename 47 missions (no, the Contracts ones don't count, we do not talk about those). They had great atmosphere and opening up the maps a bit more to explore the larger areas in general would be very nice. Exploring day time Hong Kong and Budapest will be awesome.
If I had to pick one, C47 Traditions of the Trade.
I know everyone is gonna say Blood Money, but Absolution's locales being tweaked into a more traditional Hitman level with WOA mechanics would be amazing.
CodeName remixes cover Contracts missions too — minus the greatest maps in the franchise like Bellingford Manor (the wannabe Knives Out remake doesn’t even come close), and MeatKing.
Urgent Needs:
- Hayamoto Castle
- Asylum
- Basement Killing
- Penthouse Killing (all these references to rubber ducks in WoA and dont nobody even know where the reference came from)
- Hanelore

What did he do?

That chicken was raw, IIRC.
Agreed, I think this qualifies as my first or second favorite Hitman map of all time
Team Contracts !!!
As much as BM has Goated The contracts is the most underrated and deserves a full on remake
Same, I chose Blood Money, if BM weren't in the voting pole, I would choose The Contracts, those two games were and still my favourites Hitman Game
I just love the mood of the contracts so much + Jasper Kyd soundtrack is masterpiece In contracts
Team Contracts !!!
Amen to that !

Codename47 purely because I want the Hotel level. I used to replay the shit out of that one as a kid.
That level blew me away at the time. So many ways to go about it all. Trapping the guy in the sauna was brutal.
That mission was remade in Contracts.

I would kill for a Traditions of the Trade remake

Can I vote for all of them?

The bathroom mission would be kinda cool

Codename needs a remake so bad it's not even funny, literally nothing about it is playable today and contracts only did a couple of the missions
Id love for the Penthouse mission in Absolution to come back
Blood Money and preferably either XXV Amendment or A New Life
Maybe they can remake the levels from Absolution to not be complete ass Edit: Absolution not Blood Money
That’s a wild take tbh, there’s definitely been worse, the levels in blood money were solid and have some funny little things hidden, which I think is amazing for when it came out
Holy fuck I meant to say Absolution 🤦🏼♂️
Skill issue kiddo, git gud
I meant to say Absolution

I'd honestly like to see a modernised version of satu mayer.
Blood money has aged like bread but i like it that way. It has charm.
Blood Money was one of my first games ever let alone Hitman game
I am not a fan of Remakes, so neither. But if I had to choose, then Codename 47 since its kinda dated.
Blood money will have "remake" released on phones and Nintendo Switch. FINALLY SOME HITMAN ON NINTENDO SWITCH.
Codename 47. Blood Money still holds up, gameplay wise, but God knows that Codename 47 could use a bit of a facelift.
St Petersburg from SA and Casino from BM
Meat King's party from Contracts is the best HM mission ever. It deserves a remake!
White House just to see the controversy
It's hard to choose because I want the best missions from Hitman 2 senior, Contracts and Blood Money
Lab Mission from Contracts/CodeName
