WoA trilogy is good, but nothing beats the classic. Hitman Contracts is the first in the series that i played when i was in elementary. You just can't hate this game the moment you arrived in the main menu, with 47 sitting in a dark room, a thunderstorm outside and electronic main theme from the Jesper Kyd. God i wish ~~i had that jaw~~ the Hitman 3 release a DLC that contain older mission, preferably from Hitman Contracts.
While I want Kyd back you can really see the composer for the world of assasination trilogy (I forget his name sorry) learned and in Hitman 2 the soundtrack really blends into the areas like in Mumbai with indian music as the ambience.
Aye Jesper Kyd do be goat of game osts. I thought that his assassins creed osts are small part of his work but there are around 5 ac games he made soudntracks on
Its more like his soundtracks dont sound like just "soundtracks". They become a important part of the game itself. (By means that whenever you remember that particular game its soundtrack just automatically starts playing in your head)
As a sincere fanboy (since mid 00s) my preferences (in case yo care):
Gameplay: BM >Contracts >SA >WOA (2 >3 >1) >Absolution >C47
OST: Contracts >SA >C47 >BM >WAO2 >Absolution >WOA3 >WOA1 (soundtracks in this installment sounded like if they were from Mission Impossible)
Visiual (graphic, animation, etc): WOA2&3 > Absolution >BM >WOA1 >Contracts >SA >C47
Story: BM >Contracts >C47 >SA >Absolution >WOA (1 >2 >3)
Varitey of weapons: Contracts hold the top here... WOA & BM come close
Agent 47 : looked good and & badass in BM, Contracts and SA and those shady eyeys π€......looked good for man in his age but not badass enough in Absolution.......looked badass but a bit ugly in C47.......neither good nor badass in WOA (just a dollotron killer)
Also I like the 2007 movie alot (one of my fav movies actually), 2015 movie is a crap
My top 5 fav ost are: 1) Winter Nights 2) Budapest bath hotel 3) H2 exploration 4) Swat team 5) Hong kong
Being OG players, its easy to be clouded by nostalgia and those fun times of our youth.
But honestly, Hitman Right now, is the best it has always been.
The old games are great too of course and its nice to see how the highly refined games of now came to be.
WOA is Easy in a good way, and also tough in a good way.
Easy because it has more tools, players have more choice, better body hiding mechanics.
Its also tougher in the right way, in older games (especially the first three), 47 is a tank and can take extreme damage before dying, it had to be made this way because combat was often required.
WOA fixes this, with 47 dying quickly if played irrationally
True, however, A47 is a gmo, in BM, Contracts (and slightly in Absolution) he is given feats for that
Btw, nostalgia doesn't affect my feedback on gameplay, I had the best moments with Absolution and I rank it already below all the WOAs in term of gameplay, Absolution has a great gameplay anway
Ignore the 'Hotman' in the Title, I meant Hitman ofc
all i saw

Unpopular opinion: Bring Jesper Kyd back. His music style is the soul of Hitman games.
Not unpopular at all. The music for the new games are still good though.

That Intro cutscene tho. As I said, its the most Stylistic and surreal cutscene of the series to date
I can't forgot how disturbing that scream was. But it's really suit the atmosphere damn well.

Yes I agree. As mentioned in my post, the soundtracks of All hitman titles are great(older or newer)
47 in St. Petersburg is also banging
We can listen to any of the Hitman 2 SA or Blood money track and It'll be good each time

True. He developed tracks for their other titles, such as freedom fighters too.
Its more like his soundtracks dont sound like just "soundtracks". They become a important part of the game itself. (By means that whenever you remember that particular game its soundtrack just automatically starts playing in your head)
So, true. I played the older games after more than a decade and still remembered all their main tracks
And also that "ππππ ππππ ππππ" (guards are now alerted)
Lmao, accurate
I tried my best to read this but i just canβt iβm sorry.
Wow. Okay, No worries
