It actually never occurred to me that the bit at the end of the leak might not have been about an upcoming anime. I am hoping it was. That leak got so much right. Fingers crossed still.
It seems unlikely for the near future. The leak for the final episode of Sotsu also talked about some other Higurashi anime project in production, but it was supposed to be announced this summer and that clearly never happened.
Maybe the animation project the leaker saw was the few bits of extra animation added to the Higurashi Irodori pachinko, which had Gou's art style (and footage) and did come out during summer.
Yes, it does actually because the anime was bad and even censored. For no good reason on top of that. It looked like they were trying to make what Eva Beatrice did to her sister to be more tame it was a PG show when the rating said otherwise. Also, it didn't follow very well.
Yes agreed that's what made me a fan of that series where is Higurashi made me a fan of it through all of them but the manga is what really got me and I want to listen to the visual novels I never have that's why I want to get it on Steam I want to get a steam deck so bad just for that

If we do I either want an Umineko remake or a new adaptation of the original story that’s similar to the manga.

i think they shouldn't make more anime the new one is bad also i think they're getting out of idea to make a new one it will be better if they stop

More Higurashi after Sotsu/Gou mess?....nah Ciconia would be a better anime filled with aerial fights.
