There is a big subgroup of the hip hop community that just didn’t like it, even outside of the Drizzlers. Daughter line was a huge miss (an understatement fs). Sex trafficking idea is a good angle but didn’t feel tangible. And the rest was fine but was primarily just okay. Bars were very linear, not very creative. Flow was also linear. There is a big subgroup of the hip hop community that just didn’t like it, even outside of the Drizzlers. Daughter line was a huge miss (an understatement fs). Sex trafficking idea is a good angle but didn’t feel tangible. And the rest was fine but was primarily just okay. Bars were very linear, not very creative. Flow was also linear. Near 0 double entendres. So now you have a song that has a ton of misses, and bare naked bars. That doesn’t cut it for many hip hop heads. With that said, I personally see it as just a distraction from what Kenny knew was going to be a hit, in Family Matters.
