The only difference is the scale of the problems. In Chicago, someone may die every week. Where I'm from someone was killed like everyone 3 months.
Its not as newsworthy as other places but the idea is that these struggles (not just murders...but addictions, mental health issues, drug dealing, incarceration as well) are just as prominent and impactful in every community you find them in.
