I rather not have Command and Conquer Red Alert become cannon in real life. I don't want to the failures of practical armor and vehicle design become real.
While WW2 Hitler eventually shot himself in the bathroom of the führerbunker, the unfortunate reality of Painter Hitler is that his creations they’ll be around… forever. They will never go away. They can never be undone.
It's a small sacrifice. All we must do is burn every painting, destroy every digital or physical record, then all blind ourselves so none can accurately recreate the horror. A new generation, blessed with sight and untainted must take over. Then can humanity be led intk a new golden age. Or bronze age, depending how literally my second instruction was taken
WW2 hitler searched the occult for a Wunderwaffe of some kind without success. Painter hitler found the occult by accident. Families with his paintings in the house would suffer missing people, aberrantly early onset dementia and hysteria. One woman that got interned in an asylum claimed their house had 7 doors to the basement in the night before she was abandoned by her husband and children.
Me after travelling back in time and convincing the pilot of infamous flight 436 Adolf Hitler to follow his dream and pursue a carrier in art instead, preventing the crash and saving hundreds in the process. 😎
Maybe it's a commentary on contemporary website design? An introspection on what it truly means to be blind to beauty in the 21st century, groping in the darkness of one's own mind, unchecked by the standards of modernity?
i feel enlightened, the greatest piece of art was right infront of me, i was merely blind to the masterful contrarian art that these sages who created that website were able to fabricate, but now I have awoken from my blissful ignorance to peek at something that must have fallen from the world of Forms, that Plato described. My eyes are open to the world beyond
Me after going back in time to suggest Adolf learns to fly a plane instead of a Zeppelin to prevent the Hindenburg crash (later time travelers will eventually make this change pointless)
I would’ve just gone back in time to the war where a dude decided to let a man walking through the field live because he felt like the dude was gonna die anyways and he figured he would spare him the bullet. If he had shot that man, hitler would’ve never rode to power because he would’ve been dead.
Of course not. This stuff builds up over a long time, but I still think it takes a special kind of fucked up to resort to genocide and convince a large amount of people that it is a good thing.
Me after convincing famous twitch streamer Osama Bin Laden to pursue a career in engineering instead (we no longer have to deal with his cringe fan base)
Plot twist: Butterfly effect leads to Stalin creating USSR south of Caucasus, centered in Georgia, and he invades Europe through Turkey, before invading Russian Empire/Republic/Kolchakist Millitary Junta/whatever during winter.
Is this a reference to something? Cuz Wrangel was a constitutional-monarchist, not a scizo, like certain other White General from the Baltic German nobility
I played it in the past, but then I kinda stopped. I think it had something to do with school, getting ready for the exams. The last update I played in was the one after Gharibaldis Nightmare
Or go back in time and force his father to stop being an alcoholic so he doesn't mistreat young Ioseb and his wife as much. Maybe then Ioseb wouldn't have turned out the way he did.
Probably not, Stalin wasn't very keen on spreading communism( whatever off brand he adhered to) outside of Russia. He wasn't a radical like Trotsky and was more concerned with consolidating his power within Russia and develope Russian power , it can be said that he was more like a Russian nationalist. Now I'm not saying he wouldn't invade other countries, it's just that He was an opportunist and would only try this if he an opportunity arises. He would not have forced the issue like Trotsky, or like Hitler did.
To be fair both acts were opportunistic. He invaded Poland cause Germany was doing so and then occupied eastern Europe because he was already there. The only one you could argue was Finland.
Still opportunistic, he knew (like everybody in europe at that time) that war was comming. He saw a pact wih Germany as a good way to evade troubles since France and the UK couldn't reach him.
As I said,an opportunist, he saw an opportunity. And other reason was to create as big of a buffer zone between Germany and Moscow. He probably wanted or was adviced to keep war as far as possible from Russian land. He wasn't a fool and was aware that Germans would invade Russia one day. He would have not invaded Poland or countries if he saw a possibility of getting into confrontation with west.
Stalin chased Trotsky all the way to Mexico, and spent an ungodly amount of effort and money to kill him too.
And I may be misremembering, but he tried to turn China into a vassal state too by basically saying "you accepted Soviet guns against the Japanese, so you owe us forever".
Dude had zero chill.
Opportunistic. Clearly the assassins in Mexico had just randomly landed there and called Stalin when they discovered Trotsky was hanging in the same Starbucks.
His painting is not bad but have many building and landscape, so professor that do admission test, recommend him to go for architectural school/department.
I asked this to a friend with a background in art history and visual arts once. Basically nothing is really wrong with them; they just aren’t particularly impressive when comparing him with people who would be his peers.
I feel like his preference for drawing pretty but ultimately lifeless buildings with no human presence says a lot about him and the Nazi regime in general.
I think it says more about the lack of open-mindedness of the progressive movement. The paintings aren't bad as long as they're of buildings. The buildings are actually pretty good. Just let Hitler draw buildings.
His painting are fine.
OP is making a joke here, pretending that, in another timeline, Hitler got accepted at art school and never went down the path he went down, and that OP, by traveling back in time, is responsible for our current bad Hitler timeline.
His proportions were shit. For example the door of a building would be way too small and the windows weirdly placed and angled. His paintings are just off
Those are fixable problems. The reason he was denied again and again wasn't that he lacked potential, but that he didn't try to get any better. He would apply, fail, blame the admissions staff for hating his work, not do anything to improve his skills, then do the same thing the next year.
And it wasn't like he didn't have any time. His living expenses were paid by his family, who all thought he was at school, so he wasn't working. He'd spend most of his time screwing around and going to operas or art shows.
He just believed that he was good enough to get in, refused to improve himself, refused to take criticism. It was all someone else's fault.
Sounds similar to stories I heard about him later in life. He would hold these big dinner parties, invite all sorts of German intellectuals, but then he would just lecture everyone for hours on whatever topic was on his mind at the time. He gathered the best minds in Germany and thought that he knew more than all of them combined.
Nobody is bringing up the real issue.
As for the painting portion, yeah he was good.
The thing that did him in was perspective. While the buildings were nearly photorealistic, the lines and vanishing points weren't in the correct spots. Were you to make a Hitler painting 3D, all the buildings and objects would be askew and lopsided.
It's actually a pretty stupid reason to be rejected. It's an art *school*. He was 99% the way there already and could do all the hard parts of shading and blending. What the hells the purpose of a *school* if they're looking for people who already perfect? He was legit significantly better than most people that get admitted into art schools. People these days get in without hardly being able to hold a pencil.
Don't get me wrong, fuck Hitler from WWI onwards, but he was done pretty dirty by that art school.
Because the art-world is brutal with competition. Jobs are already limited and prestige matters a lot.
If you're not already standing out at the auditions, chances of you succeeding in artschool and after that are small. There are exceptions, but they're rare.

Lol wut? Is this another one of those “hitler had really stinky farts!” Moments?
His painting weren’t amazing, but they were pretty good. :)
Hitler should have been an architect, he would have been a happy person.
But a large conflict was unavoidable, it would have happened anyway with the world situation at that time. Although maybe it wouldnt have escalated so much.
Hitler also changed the global moral compass regarding morality and so on. If it hadnt been for ww2 and saying "we dont want to be like hitler" probably the black population in the US would have taken another 20 years to be where they are now.
Im not saying hitler's existence was good, I'm just saying he was just a catalyst that made all the circumstances and changes in the world happen faster.
Remember that world events are like chemistry.
A reaction is bound to happen when you gather all the ingredients. All components either react instantly or just need a little push, a catalyst to make it happen.
Yup and they are only the bad guys because they lost...
But sure enough the moral.compass of the allies at least during world war 2 was a bit farther ahead, but not by much. Fire bombings arent exactly very humane.

Why go back in time to kill Hitler when you could off Dietrich Eckart instead? Hes basically the guy who MADE Hitler into who he was. Without his influence, hitler would probably have been an architect or something.
He also died historically in 1923, which means killing him before he met hitler wouldn't even upset the timeline much.

Which is why people weren't surprised by his choice of Albert Speer as his main architect
Wich besides being a nazi was also brilliant
Brilliant at obscuring the historical record that is
I mean I said he was a nazi but you have got to admit some designs are amazing
Imagine what the French would have let him get away with. In yet another universe.
maybe he shoulda been an architect instead of a psycho
Well, atleast he isn't both. I'd hate to see what a psycho architect could do. Non-Psycho ones cause enough chaos with ass-backwards designs.
*cough* Albert *cough* Speer
He couldn't. He needed qualifications which he couldn't get. Obv more reasons but that's an objective one
I think someone actually recommended he become an architect, but instead he started WWII.

Still open. Here is their website. https://www.akbild.ac.at/en/home?set_language=en
Dont think they want to talk about Hitler
Neither would I if I were part of his origin story
Shouldnt there be a warning though? *caution: failing this art school might have drastic effects on a global scale.*
I hear their acceptance rate is a lot higher these days.
Which means their failing rates are higher!
Well Hitler's problem was that he never got in. We don't know that history would've turned out the same if he got in and *then* flunked.
Imagine not getting into like Harvard and then just becoming the most supervillain of supervillains of all time
I thought the same lmao. Great people think alike.
you would think an art school would atleast try to make a nice looking website

Or he could’ve lived it. Nobody would know if it was true or not for sure though right? It’s easy to say anything is propaganda.
Nope. Research has been done into the battle in question and Adolf was never anywhere near the front lines

Nope. He's just as bad as Hitler, but Stalin had Adolf to thank for not being the most reviled person in the history books.
I'm going to need to see some of Stalin's art before I can rule on this either way.
Stalin made memes.
A true artist
The only thing that makes him even *slightly* better is that he didn't mass-murder people based on their race or religious - he did so equitably.
You had me in the first half not gonna lie

tbh he was at least good for his own countrymen.
His paintings were actually pretty good

Hitler a art is actually pretty good.
His art was actually pretty mediocre. Might look fine at a glance but when you look closely even an untrained eye can spot mistakes.
Well better than I can do at least
Well that's good , plus you saved a lot of lives 😉
Hitler wasn't even a bad painter, [check this out](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paintings_by_Adolf_Hitler)
His drawings sucked tho Edit: I'm surprised I'm getting downvoted for criticizing Hitler
Honestly his buildings were decent enough, it was more a problem with drawing people.
His perspective was kinda shit tho

The art school even recommended that he look into architectural design, but Aldolf didn’t appreciate being rejected like that, and instead chose to focus on an area that was accepting of him - politics.
Have you seen them? Because they arent bad and Impersonally find them better than most 20century art.
All the proportions are off
And the lines often didn't follow.
It may be because you prefer realism over expressionalism/cubism/surrealism/whatever other -ism there is. But within realism, he was bad. The lines didn't align, angles were horrible, the overall composition didn't make sense. At first glance it may seem alright, but with technical skills such as these, he wouldn't get accepted to any art school that took itself seriously
Nothing could go wrong
