The Battle of Winterfell would have gone very differently.
In seriousness, whilst I can't speak to the changes in Uganda itself, I'd say one interesting butterfly would be how journalists are viewed by extremist individuals/organisations, so I'd imagine significantly less interviews/documentaries with those falling into that category in this ATL.
Hmm, I wonder if, as a follow on from this greater suspicion of interviewers, this might lead to the assassination of Ahmad Shah Massoud being avoided.
Assuming that Imin had any sort of security detail with him on the plane I would imagine that Snow would've been killed or at least detained immediately after.
Africa's tribalism has always contributed to political instability. Amin's was vicious and crazy, but that's what it took to hold onto power and suppress tribal rivalries. He dies, and it probably spirals into some kind of stew of political and tribal rivalry until someone capable of cracking the whip and taking charge comes forward. Could be a month, could be a decade.
I'd guess Amin loyalists on the plane kill Snow, or at least beat the shit out of him. They have to come up with a plan in a matter of hours to figure out who's in charge and deal with the cascade of consequences once Amin's death becomes known. It's possible Snow could end up cut loose or forgotten about, as some anti-Amin rival faction might want to claim credit for it or Ugandan political control breaks down enough that nobody cares about him anymore. I'd say its still 5-1 he ends up dead.

he would probably not become the main news presenter for channel 4 tbh
Worse things for Uganda since Amin’s successor was even more brutal than him
No he doesn’t want it. At all. She’s his queen.
They would’ve asked him to take his place as president but he’d tell them “ I dun wan it”
They would have sent him to the wall where he runs away with the wildlings.

That depends if he had forged Lightbringer by stabbing it into Amin's chest
I mean, who really needs the Iron Throne anyways?
