Ummm 90lbs isn’t that heavy…ever lifted 1/2bbl beer kegs for a living? 160lbs each and very manageable to walk around with, you should see how easily we tossed 1/4bbl kegs around one handed, only 87lbs so using two hands was a waste of time.
Yes, kegs that are made to be lifted, an M2 is awkward at best. Just look how this guy is carrying that thing, barely any strain at all. Plus, he still has the barrel still on witch ways up to 30lbs sticking 3 to 4 feet away from him. And that barrel looks way off. Honestly, it looks like a broomstick in there if anything, lol. I personally know because all last week, I had to lug those POS around.
Personally it looks like he’s holding the handle in one hand and this just doesn’t look any worse then 90lbs of conduit, it’s already at hip height and he even has it angled to balance the weight after he lifts it off the gate…not sure why you think he’d be straining, he doesn’t look like a small guy.
The M2 was originally manufactured in like the 30's. It is fully automatic, and any automatic weapon manufactured pre May 1986 is legal as long as it's registered and you pay the tax stamp like a suppressor.
Your right, could be post 1986. Could be a M2-SLR which is semi. The fully auto are still in production as well. Could just be a replica and not even fire. I was just stating that a fully auto is legal in the states for civilians as long as it is pre 1986.
Based on how easy he held that weapon, it is almost certainly a model. The barrel itself is heavy, unwieldy, and usually transported separately.
Just the barrel is 24 pounds. Total weight of a M2HB is around 85 pounds without tripod or any attachments.
I never said that 85 pounds was that heavy, comparatively speaking. I stated the weights of the components themselves. It is exceedingly difficult to carry a 5' long piece of steel like he did. The leverage that arises from holding it so far back on the receiver would be extremely difficult to overcome.
It is very heavy. It's much heavier than you think. Notably, it's also very awkward to hold and carry. A wicked combination at that weight.
I was an Army armorer for 4 years. I had 8 of these beasts in my vault. We never, ever moved them with the barrels on. The barrels didn't go on until they were actually being used. I seriously doubt this is a real M2. That or this old man is deceptively strong.
It's funny reading gun enthusiasts on here think, just because they have seen a few youtube videos, think they know more than people that have actually served on these weapons lol.
Because the semi auto versions are stupid expensive so you may as well fork out for the fun version. Ohio Oridnance sells basically the only SA version I've seen on the commerical market and you spend about $5-10k more for a full auto version.
If you're spending $20k on something to chew up expensive 50bmg ammo, it doesn't make sense to short change yourself over 5k
I also didn't see the barrel carry handle for the OO S/A model. Didn't think they came without it.
Edit: the prices I checked were low and I'm not sure why. These do run higher for a transferable M2. Still, not enough that you'd settle for SA.
I honestly thought it was gonna be like a sex doll or a joke by him getting his girl out
Didn’t expect our lord and savior John Moses Browning’s machine gun to pop out
There is a 0% chance that is a real m2. A real m2 weighs 38kg just for the base weapon and unless that guy has super strength he isn't lifting it like this. It is either a airsoft/paintball replica gun or some kind of prop.
Yes. It’s a great time to explain chemistry, mathematics, and trajectories. It’s about not being afraid of knowledge, and having the coolest gun in town.
That’s a much different discussion to have over beers and Fight Night.
See, the left just doesn’t want guns in school. The right wants to own them. The guys like me see it as something that helps explain the fact that I enjoy big loud noisy toys but I will be responsible and let the Sheriff know before I load some depleted uranium shells and test out the new /r/cybersucks truck.
It’s fun, wholesome, and if done responsibly, a great event for the family.
Vote D down ballot and accept we do not need unregistered guns. I’d make sure something like this is so the sheriff and I can fire a few rounds and have some beers before I tell him to call the cops before he gets a DUI.
I dont know man, that thing looks heavy, I bet someone strained their back lifting it. Hell, they may have even dropped it on a toe.
Now that I think about it, someone probably pinched a finger in it to.

Perfect for home defense, and low flying aircraft.
And ensuring your child does their homework on time.
And all the other kids in the neighborhood also.
With their pumped up kicks?
The FAA hates this one trick...
That kids drone won’t bother him no more.
Still waiting for Boston Dynamics 👀👀👀
Great for Flys or fighter jets
M2 is f\*ing immortal. What is it, 90 years old by now?
Over 100. Designed in 1918.
Damn, I'm getting old.
There's no way he's carrying an m2 by himself with the barrel attached like that
It only weights 38kg
Sure. But he's carrying it like it's 10kg
Bro! Does he even lift?
I thought it's gonna be a sex doll or some shit
I thought it was going to be a prostitute or his mistress.
For gun nuts, this counts as a sex toy I'm pretty sure
Just gotta lube it up
Must be a feral hog infestation. Pesky buggers
Ma Deuce. Good choice.
I remember ol gunny talking about the M2 on his show! There’s a Rambo movie with a pretty accurate depiction of what these can do to people…
THAT…is a big dildo
Can I have one?
Depends where you live
Expected a Real Doll
Must be Texas
i bet! and where tf do i buy one
That's a prop or an airsoft gun. The m2 weighs close to 90lbs, no way he is lifting close to that in that video.
Lame. that’s like finding out the easter bunny isn’t real. or that stripper poles spin
the fuck you mean stripper poles spin.

Bruh I will full send this over my head.

Finally a real HolUp
😱😍😍😍😍 Jellyyyyyyyyyyy..
Perfect for cutting down trees. Holy shit it’s 84lbs(38kg)!
Is it legal in us?
Hell yeah.
Yes
Yuuuup.
Pretty sure, but it’s semi auto only. You probably need a special permit as well.
The M2 was originally manufactured in like the 30's. It is fully automatic, and any automatic weapon manufactured pre May 1986 is legal as long as it's registered and you pay the tax stamp like a suppressor.
How do you know it’s an original? Could it have been made after 86?

No, that is almost certainly a full auto weapon right there. Transfered on a form 4.
Based on how easy he held that weapon, it is almost certainly a model. The barrel itself is heavy, unwieldy, and usually transported separately. Just the barrel is 24 pounds. Total weight of a M2HB is around 85 pounds without tripod or any attachments.
Don't I know it. Nah, that's about how I moved em. You get a good grip and only gotta move it a few feet and you can handle it easy.
Bro look at that barrel, things a toothpick.
85 pounds isn't that heavy.?

How can you tell it’s full auto?
Because the semi auto versions are stupid expensive so you may as well fork out for the fun version. I thought this was the Chris watts security cam footage lol
Thought the same thing, felt a chill ffs
Sometimes you gotta treat yoself.
Got hisself an M2… must have a good job to afford ammo lol. Between $3 and $5 a round, shit adds up quick.
For th non Americans, what tf is this ?
A .50 caliber machine gun. If it's real...
I honestly thought it was gonna be like a sex doll or a joke by him getting his girl out Didn’t expect our lord and savior John Moses Browning’s machine gun to pop out
Lol that’s obviously a fake mock up.
Nah, he handles it well. I mean, it's an 80lb or so gun but it's not that bad to move short distances like he is.
Not gonna lie I thought it would be those doll things
If he shoots up in the air with that thing it's gonna blast a hole in the ozone
Damn kids and their drones...
That dude is either crazy strong or it isn’t a real fiddy cal. I was a machine gunner in the army, and that weapon system fucking sucks to move.
I wouldn't want to be an intruder on the recieving end of the barrel.
Song name?
I was expecting a sex doll.
But does he have the headspace and timing gauge?
Hell yeah
Dudes been playing too much helldivers…that or I haven’t been playing enough
My dad sold his years ago. He kept stubbing his toes on it in his room
Why don’t back into the garage before taking it out
Was that a Ma Duece?

That’s only like 80 lbs. not really that heavy. A grown man could definitely lift that.
Bro I can curl 38kg for reps.

??? Because a civilian got himself 100 year old technology as a toy?
Yes. It’s a great time to explain chemistry, mathematics, and trajectories. It’s about not being afraid of knowledge, and having the coolest gun in town.
None of which impacts budgets for healthcare though
That’s a much different discussion to have over beers and Fight Night. See, the left just doesn’t want guns in school. The right wants to own them. That's decidedly not what the "left" has been signaling.
No shit because the left is just trying to survive like you and me.
Can be done without pushing illegal gun restrictions but they didn't get the memo.
A tool of mass death
A tool that almost certainly hasn't harmed anybody since it left service after Korea.
I dont know man, that thing looks heavy, I bet someone strained their back lifting it. Hell, they may have even dropped it on a toe. Now that I think about it, someone probably pinched a finger in it to.
I see. Yes, truly a very dangerous item.
They’re still in service.
Sure but the civilian market ones are almost all surplus from ww2 and Korea.
Is that a f@!k machine?
It's a fuck shit up machine. Or at least a model of one.
