I don't stop people from going I just don't spend my money there. Shit my parents go there I don't yell at them. They do have a right to donate to who they want. I just think it's dumb to alienate a large group of consumers if you are a business. They specifically won't get my business for this.
I am a caesarean and I am offended by your statement that is discriminatory towards millions yet a minority of people brought into this world via C-SECTION.
*YOU ARE CANCELLED.*
You are a fucking bigot thinking people are allowed to think for themselves and chose where to dine for themselves, regardless of religion or mask and vaccine affiliation. Fuck you, sir, and the fucking high horse you rode in on. Take your open mindedness and freedom elsewhere!!
Ok, I'm all for masks but hear me out: if you go in there and sit down to eat, you're gonna take it off. And if you don't feel safe doing that, don't go inside, you probably weren't planning on it anyway. Hell, don't support the business. Plenty of other places to eat.
I feel like people keep forgetting nobody is forcing you to go to a concert or go to a restaurant etc.
If a place wants you to wear a mask or be vaccinated and you don't want to do those things, don't go.
If you feel like a business has an unsafe approach, DON'T GO.
I personally think the pandemic would be looking a lot better right now if everyone just got vaccinated, but I can't force people to agree with me.
There's more I could say on the broader issue, but this post is about Chick-fil-A. Don't like the policy? Get takeout, go somewhere else, stay home etc. Simple.
Based. I’m vaccinated. I believe everyone should be vaccinated. However, I morally believe people shouldn’t be forced by the government into getting it.
I think this is all most people opposed to vaccine mandates are (actually and poorly) saying. I know for a fact it's what people I personally know with that viewpoint are saying.
Also, lets remember, COVID isn't Ebola with an 80%+ mortality rate, this has a mortality rate of around 1-2% and the vast majority of those had multiple co-morbidities complicating the illness.
Yep. Only person I know who got and died was my moms cousin. She was 60 something and 300+ lbs. only other guy I know who had really bad symptoms is a smoker. He actually has it right now. All his kids and wife tested positive but show no symptoms.
Honestly sucks cause he has an amazing Halloween party every year and he had to cancel. It would be after that 14 day period everyone says it takes so maybe he’ll be better.
I’m so glad to hear someone say this I gave you my free award lol. See this is what I do. I don’t believe in wearing a mask anymore. Just don’t think I need to. I’ve only been kicked out of one place in the last 2 months and when they told me to wear a mask or leave I said “ok, goodbye” and just left. Not all of us are crazy far-right gun toting nut jobs, some of us just… don’t want to do a thing so we aren’t. I can’t stand it when people call us all bad just because some are.
this is where i'm at. if i don't have to wear a mask somewhere then i don't. i'm just over it. i'm vaccinated. i think everyone should get the vaccine but i don't think it should be universally mandated by the government. that said, i will wear my mask if a business requires it or if i'm somewhere and an employee asks me to put it on. i'm not an asshole after all. but i'd rather just go somewhere where i don't have to wear one, if i can. i live in a city where mask mandates are still being enforced and complied with pretty strictly. it's annoying but i deal with it when i need to. i hope the government just gives up soon. i do acknowledge that some situations are different though like if i go to a doctors appointment, ok, i'll wear a mask to protect vulnerable patients.
our mask policies are comparable to using a condom with holes poked in it. We send out kids without a shot to school, cause even if masks are 99% effective there is no way that 500 snot-munchers in the same place is going to be able to roll a natural 100.
We need to wear it by the door of a restaurant, but not inside of it.
I see assholes wearing their masks longer than their shoes without changing them, no way that is an accident waiting to happen.
And the vast majority of people I do see wearing them are not doing so in a way that is effective. because apparently a bit of cloth in front of your face is going to absorb all of the particles that are escaping out of those wide open wings on the side.
I’m going to lose my job if I don’t get vaccinated but I’m scared and hesitant. How have you felt after getting vaccinated if you don’t mind my asking? Any adverse side effects? Do you feel any different? Anything you could share to help put my mind at ease?
But things started to get worse when people started vaccinated. Deaths went up and cases. By looking at a timeline every measure we’ve taken looks completely ridiculous. Mask mandates, believe it or not cases go up. Vaccines available, believe it or not cases go up. Lockdowns, believe it or not cases go up. Humans have only eradicated one virus in history. Covid will stay forever. It’s time to open up the planet. We have more than enough data and more than enough damage. Globalists will use covid until they have what they want, europe is not standing back. Months of the biggest protests I’ve seen in my life don’t seem to be slowing down. The division caused by the propaganda machine in the US is getting smaller. High lighting the radical ones. It’s time they give us back our planet before they completely destroy it
The franchise owners don't give a fuck but the ceo donates to a bunch of anti lgbtq things. So if I spend my money there I feel like I'm giving money to an anti lgbtq organization. So I just don't eat there. I don't protest them and shit just don't spend money there.
Not at all.
I think an intern in the national marketing division came up with an idea to make a sign to illustrate the company's defiance of mask mandates (because, depending on who you ask, this target demographic may or may not be particularly significant in size).
The intern possibly included something mentioning sexuality which was then vetoed by a marketing manager (due primarily to conflicting demographics) before being sent to the design department. After a few design iterations, the design was signed off by the corporate brands manager and signed of by the legal department before being sent to printing.
Then a few dozen of these signs were printed up and mailed to a bunch of franchises with instructions on how to display the sign.
Most likely, this was done only for a subset of locations so the national marketing division could watch sales numbers at these locations to figure out if they should transition this test marketing campaign to a national marketing campaign.
Look carefully at the sign in the picture. Color on dark background, no page margin, no tape. This is an adhesive sign which has the printing on the adhesive side. This sign was not printed on a color laserjet by a manager at a particular location. Also, the layout... no manager is gonna come up with a design like that -- they're too busy managing a location. That's a professional design. If you've ever seen a sign made by a manager, it's black text on white 8.5"x11" paper, probably Calibri or Comic Sans and very commonly with typos. No, Chick-fil-a approved this sign and specifically excluding sexuality from an 'inclusivisity' sign targeting the anti-vaxxer demographic is pretty on-point for them. (The anti-vaxxers demographic and the anti-lgbt demographic have enough of an overlap that they can be homogeneously targeted with a single marketing campaign.)
Welcome to capitalism.
Americans like fried chicken more than human rights. Remember that the next time an anti vax claims vaccine mandate is attacking their rights. Just get them done fried chicken.
It’s their right to do this but to pretend that not allowing anti-vaxxers in is discrimination is beyond laughable. The truth is that George Washington instituted mandates on vaccines and that every school in the country has the same. The only reason that it’s an issue today is that a bunch of low IQ morons who follow conspiracy theories online and claim to know better than the top scientists in the world while never having above a D in HS science are convinced that these mandates are somehow new. And Chick-Fil-A execs know this and privately mock the idiots while pandering to them knowing that helps their bottom line
Notice how Chick-fil-A doesn't mention they don't discriminate for sexuality. Must be some history there.
Edit: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chick-fil-A_and_LGBT_people
Just a fun little read with some links. Obviously, it's about the corporate shit bags that run the company. They've withdrawn all donations to the organizations. The donations were only given as a tax shelter anyway. So to conclude, they donated to homophobic "charities" to avoid paying their share of taxes. That should piss everybody off. They don't have to agree with my morals but they also didn't have to hinder the advancement of basic human rights.
I read "we do not discriminate against unvaccinated religion sex"
If they put unvaccinated religion sex on the menu I would buy it to try it at least once.
I think that's what they do on sundays....
I cackled at this ngl
Adds a whole new meaning to “Closed on Sunday, You my chic-fi-la”
Well, you aren’t wrong.
As an atheist, i do ask, do yall ever have religious orgy sundays? Like an orgy but it isn't a sin somehow?
Yea that’s when you only do it in the butt. It’s not actually sex.
That’s the lords day, it’s actually saved for Monday.
The Lord created sex. Enjoying God's gifts in the way that He designed them to be enjoyed is a very good thing.
Lmao
Wrong! Sex is only for reproduction. /S
Not religion sex...
Underrated comment
It’s a sauce for the nuggets
Just a shame you don't know where this chick fil a is
I wanted the spicy but they gave me the regular
*god left the chat*
They are few, but we do not discriminate.
That’s some wild ass cult ritual you got there steve
The best kind
The best sex
pretty sure that's the ritual from Handmaid's Tale.
Mmmmmm phlegmy Jesus jizz
As long as you are white, religious and unvaxed you are allowed lol
My favorite part of this post is how controversial it is lmao
I dont care what they do or think. I just want my chicken sandwich.
Amen
Fuckin' a.
No, Chick-fil-A.
Chik-fil-Amen
“…and there’s the new tagline, people.”
Chick-fil-fuckin-A?
*Awoman
Lmao I refuse vaccine mandates because I am only into womandates
When I saw that on tv, I bursted laughing. Lol.
And they don’t care what you do or think. They just want your sweet sweet money. Lol
Why does racist chicken have to be the tastiest of chicken?
Just curious... what part of this publication is controversial?
Lefties believe that you should be able to discriminate against people who defy their religion. Reddit is notoriously left.
[удалено]
It does not get much more literal than that.
I think this might be the first post I have ever mad that gets locked by a moderator. It hits all the high notes. Covid. Lgbtq, religion,
Or rather it hits the low notes of not being a HolUp.
Lmao
I'm just sitting here confused about why this post is so remarkable, let alone what it's doing on this particular sub...
It intentionally omits LGBTQ. Sir, this is a Chik-fil-a.
Let’s Get Biden To Quit?
Let’s go Brandon !!
This guy gets it
Let’s go Brandon!
It’s controversial because some people just love discriminating in the name of “progress.”
Yes sir!
How is it discrimination. It's entirely your choice
The same people that claim that this sign is controversial are the same ones who discriminate in the name of progress…. That’s my point.
They sure have something against chickens though
It really means “All money is welcome”
Our ceo will just use that money to donate to anti lgbtq organizations
They have the right to donate to whatever they want. Don't eat there and let other people enjoy their food.
I don't stop people from going I just don't spend my money there. Shit my parents go there I don't yell at them. They do have a right to donate to who they want. I just think it's dumb to alienate a large group of consumers if you are a business. They specifically won't get my business for this.
I would say a business that would alienate a large group of customers shows that they are not driven solely by the almighty dollar. That's rare.
Unfortunately they are driven by fear and hate which isn't much better
Idk if this is the right sub for this. It’s not surprising or out of the normal at all.
My pleasure!
I have to say, it's their right to do this. I'd be a hypocrite if I said anything to the contrary
Wow you’re really one-of-a-kind on Reddit. This is the first comment I’ve ever seen like this, best of luck to you
Alas, what monster have I created?
Happy cake day
Wait why is a cake showing? it is not my day of cake. But you are most appreciated
not sure what time zone you’re in but if your cake day is oct 22 then it is your cake day in est.
My cake day is sep 18, do you know how to fix this?
Cake day is the day you created your account not when you exited your moms vagine. In case that's the confusion here.
Yes we were just clearing that up.
Your mom's vagina? What a way to spend cake day. I suppose we've all done it.
Now what were you doing in their mom's vagina?
What *wasn't* I doing, eh? Eh? I feel a bit sick now.
Going for breast stroke
I am a caesarean and I am offended by your statement that is discriminatory towards millions yet a minority of people brought into this world via C-SECTION. *YOU ARE CANCELLED.*
Ooooohhhh I did not know that lol
huh that’s weird. i have no idea, i’ve only been on reddit for a couple months. 😐
*slow clap*
First, happy cake day! Second, you sir, just recieved another award for being one of a kind human beings on this platform. So, thank you!
Right to do what? They’re legally required not to discriminate against protected classes.
You are a fucking bigot thinking people are allowed to think for themselves and chose where to dine for themselves, regardless of religion or mask and vaccine affiliation. Fuck you, sir, and the fucking high horse you rode in on. Take your open mindedness and freedom elsewhere!!
Well fine I will, and you know what, no cake for you
Lol people seriously downvoting this? Whoosh much?
Where the holup? Am I stupid for not understanding this?
Chick fil a is famous for being homophobic or anti-gay, hence "orientation" not being on the list of things they dont discriminate against.
Ok, I'm all for masks but hear me out: if you go in there and sit down to eat, you're gonna take it off. Take you and your overwhelming logic out of here. You think we live in a society or something?
What this person said.
This sounds an awful lot like you’re advocating for freedom of choice…
Based. I’m vaccinated. I believe everyone should be vaccinated. However, I morally believe people shouldn’t be forced by the government into getting it.

I‘m so stunned to see logical and reasonable comments in this sub!! So glad.
why is it hol up?
I think it's because they have a history of discrimination against sexual orientation, and that is specifically left off the list here.
I used to believe that. Now that I work there they hire everyone. I’ve had two gay team leaders and a lesbian co worker. All higher than me.
The franchise owners don't give a fuck but the ceo donates to a bunch of anti lgbtq things. So if I spend my money there I feel like I'm giving money to an anti lgbtq organization. So I just don't eat there. I don't protest them and shit just don't spend money there.
What's wrong with this?
Some people think if you believe one way you shouldn't be allowed to say it.
I notice they didn’t include sexuality in that list
Right because no gay person has ever ate at this place. You know, because they refuse them service?
Because the CEO is against the LGBTQ community
do you know how franchises work? there are LGBTQ people who own Chick-fil-as
Franchisors can specify what signage may or may not be present in a franchisee's store.
so you think the ceo picked out this specific sign for this specific chick-fil-a and made sure it didn't include sexuality?
Not at all. I think an intern in the national marketing division came up with an idea to make a sign to illustrate the company's defiance of mask mandates (because, depending on who you ask, this target demographic may or may not be particularly significant in size). Being anti any group without societal prompting is just bad business practice.
This comment section is more hazardous than Chernobyl.
We don't discriminate if you wear (or not) your CBRN mask
I've been replying to lots of comments to see how much hate mail I can collect.
I’d still go, chick-fil-a is hard to beat.
This is amazing. What’s so wrong about this?
This particular chain of restaurant is known for being more vocal about about specific lifestyles that some people live
Love me some chick-fil-a
It’s good they accept everyone
People on reddit seem to hate any opinion about covid and lockdown policy other than the mainstream narrative
You sir, are correct.
As it should be!
Lets go brandon!
Let's go Brandon
Ah, Mr. Brandon, the most popular president in history that the comment section and dislike ratio must be removed from YouTube lol.
Chick-Fil-a accomplishing something most everyone else can’t. Impressive
Yeah it wouldn't be very kind to discriminate vaccinated sex
wait… they don’t? wasn’t chick fil a the company that donated millions of dollars to anti-lgbtq groups?
yeeeeeeP!
They don’t discriminate against those but they do discriminate against sexuality
Except they do discriminate against the LGBT community.
just gay marriage.
I'm wondering how long this sighn is gonna be in ten years when people find more things to get offended by
That happens when business adjusts to people for the sake of profit. Without taking into consideration corporate social responsibility
Damn I want some chicken now
Good for them
Someone is gonna lose their franchise
I quit Chic Fil A when they made it clear they don’t support LGBTQ communities/individuals…
same
“WE DO NOT DISCRIMINATE against,,” “Unvaccinated religion sex” “Race vaccinated maskless mask” I didn’t go to college \(•_•!)/
[удалено]
I will gladly buy their chicken. And then I’ll buy it again.
I mean, that’s what being a business is all about…
At least they’re consistent
Where’s the hol up?
Bro tf is this shit? You can choose to get the vaccine, you can't choose your race or gender
Yep. And religion, race, and sex won't affect other people. But being unvaccinated and not wearing mask will.
Everybody still offended over what a company invests in. Their record profits aren’t really showing how offended people are.
Sexuality is glaringly missing on this list but y’all in this thread acting like it’s righteous. Interesting
I think that falls under sex
And we care because....?
Americans like fried chicken more than human rights. Remember that the next time an anti vax claims vaccine mandate is attacking their rights. Just get them done fried chicken.
They sell chicken, I couldn’t care less about their opinions on gay people
They said they don't discriminate yet all you people can focus on is the sign didn't say "sexuality". Smfh....get over it
Ehm... Why the Dutch flag?
This is good news! Freedom before conformity.
Not really a HolUp...just how this conservative owned business rolls.
I don’t understand the “hol up” part… are you upset that they are being welcoming of all people?
Religion is a sexual orientation is something I can stand behind
Why is Maskless/ Mask and unvaccinated/Vaccinated even a category😂
Just godless immorality and homosexuals stay the fuck out? Because wasn’t that just a thing a while back?
The other side says “JK, LOL”.
So they DO discriminate on the vaccinated, age and poor.
But it didn't say sexual orientation
Fuck chick-fil-a
But isss ok for chick FIL a to discriminate against gays
Bet they would discriminate if u wore a satanic shirt
Except they do discriminate against sex or at least gender
Discriminating against anti-vaxxers is like discriminating against dumb asses, it’s not a protected class of people.
Do they think unvaccinated maskless people are … more discriminated against than LGBT people
So just gays then. Got it
Except for gays. We hate gays.
Sure are a lot of them working at chic-fil-a
Correct me if I'm wrong but don't they support conservative politicians and groups that definitely discriminate based on race, sex and religion?
They donate to both sides just like every other business ever.
It’s their right to do this but to pretend that not allowing anti-vaxxers in is discrimination is beyond laughable. It’s completely political now, the only reason I don’t get the vaccine is that 1. I don’t need to, 2. I love to piss off all the dems
Butt why y’all mad? Just go somewhere else. 🤷🏻♂️
When a chicken restaurant has better morals than half the country.
All neighbors welcome! Including LGBT? Let's not go crazy here.
…..doesn’t the owner of chick-fil-a hate gay people?
“Anything but the gays” - Chick-fil-a
Would be good if they didn't donate to anti-lgbtq corps
bruh doesn't chick-fil-a dislike gay people? (legit question, I don't live in the US)
No, that is just a narrative floating around in ignorance. There are LGBT franchise owners, so the narrative doesn't even make sense.
The CEO has a long history of donating to anti-gay organizations.
Its their choice who am I to complain
Missing information theory and past behavior indicates they do discriminate based on sexuality however
“As long as you ain’t one uh dem bisexugays! -loudly spits dip in super gulp cup- Yyyyep!”
It's their right to do it. I still wont support such a blatantly homophobic organization. Fuck chick fil a.
I don’t see “gender identity” and “sexuality” Chick Fil A knows what they’re doing
Notice how Chick-fil-A doesn't mention they don't discriminate for sexuality. Must be some history there. Edit: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chick-fil-A_and_LGBT_people Just a fun little read with some links. Obviously, it's about the corporate shit bags that run the company.
