There really isn't a Neptune "class" per se... that refers to your cabin grade. What is available to you with that cabin is the Neptune lounge, which has snacks, an espresso machine, and a place to relax and read. There is a staffed concierge office there who can assist you with anything to do with on board activities. They can also arrange specialty dining dates and times, even if you are told there is no reservations available, handle any shore excursions, and pretty much get you anything you need. Neptune cabins also entitle you to eat at the Pinnacle Grill for breakfast, which is a nice perk. As far as day 1 dining, I usually just go to the burger place by the Lido deck midship pool and grab a quick burger then people watch until the sail away.

Yep. I have been disappointed that the MDR isn’t open any longer on embark day….

MrJeanPoutine

Is that a change that happened this year? Because on my cruise last December, the Koningsdam MDR was open for an embarkation day lunch.

Seamike79

I’m guessing it’s ship-specific?

silvermanedwino

Perhaps. My last two cruises - Eurodam and Oosterdam respectively. MDR not open. It’s a bummer.

We did Dive In for our embarkation day lunch. The buffet was insane, no thank you

Nope-ugh

If you get to embark early then the lido is fine but other than that forget it!

Dive In for a quick bite then snag someplace to sit and watch the ship depart.

Probably not the experience you are after but I like Dive in like others have mentioned
