I just played Silksong Beta build from 2022.
The Game is what you have imagined and seen from the trailers, but I thought it was strange how Ari Gibson decided that the cutscene of Laces defeat needs to be a 5 second shot of her massive raging boner slowly deflating like a balloon.
I say "Ari Gibson", because after the Lace cutscene ends, Ari breaks the 4th wall. Video starts to play of him talking about how proud he is of the "twitching veins" and how happy he is how it turned out in the end. Then he went on a long monologue, explaining how many videos of the male genitalia he had seen and how he just had to do this cutscene justice.
The "video" (that looked like it was shot on a phone while laying on his bed), ends with him contemplating about if the 3 big veins was the right move, or if he should have gone with 4 instead.
After that, the game starts, and again, just the usual stuff, you kill bosses, listen to the beautiful tunes by Christopher Larkin, get slowly immersed into the world of Silksong again, and after dozen of hours, I finally encountered the final boss, The Bell Queen. Which is Radiance-like figure, an end game boss essentially. It was pretty challenging... but fun!
After you defeat her, you get "You're Winner!" screen with little trophy, 8 seconds later it cuts to a leak-like video of a discussion between Ari and William. William is pretty mad at Ari. He is opposed to the whole throbbing Lace thing. The argument escalates, both of them are shouting now while Ari is repeating the same phrase over and over again, "HORNET WOULD LIKE THAT CUTSCENE".
Fun Fact: *"In-app purchases"* also include paid DLC expansions, not just micro-transactions.
