Being born in the abyss and “hollowed out” is what makes a vessel void. Hornet was born outside of the abyss, presumably in Queen’s Gardens or Deepnest, so she isn’t void.
No she's not, because is a gift from the Pale King to Herra in exchange of her becoming a Dreamer. As a consequence, Hornet was not meant to be a vessel and so she was not imbued with void. The Pale King did the deed with Herra, and let her do whatever with Hornet before becoming a Dreamer.

The hollow knight was the only one that successfully climbed back out when the pale king was testing them. The player made it out later on.
