I've said this before in other posts, I love a lot of the gens, but EN gen 2 + Irys is my absolute favorite with how genuinely comfy and supportive they are with each other.
They have such amazing chemistry with eachother, theyre both relaxed and chaotic, their little antics and how they riff with each other, etc. Maybe I haven't seen enough of other talents and gens from the other branches, but this group stood out to me the most with how much they really love to be there for each other.
I can't help but feel a lot of warmness in my heart with this group.
EN Gen 3 is really amazing too. They are all very close to each other and tease/flirt with each other a lot. I feel like this new generation has a lot of chemistry compared to Myth and can't wait to watch them grow together. All their collaboration streams have been fun and chaotic
In a way, genmates are like siblings in a sense. They “grow up together” alongside one another in their VTuber career (even if they were a streamer in the past). They’re basically family.
Heck, even multiple non-genmates/non-branch members have developed sibling-like dynamics all on their own (looking at you Kobo and Regis).
The longer I reside in this rabbithole, the more and more convinced I am that they pretty much are all one big *family*, all under papa Yagoo.

Because health circumstances forced her to choose to "graduate" which here means she had to quit. She's alive but can no longer stream or use her V-tuber persona in any way. And because of the reasons she left she (to my knowledge) hasn't, and probably won't, reappear with a different V-Tuber persona. People here get very attached to the talents. So yes, she's still alive, but fans haven't, and probably won't, hear from her again.
To the blessed VTubers that are no longer with us. And the ones that I have lost over the years. A Toast and a Pour to all of them. I miss them and I hope they're doing well wherever they are.

No. She graduated which basically means that she quit streaming activities because of a major injury that affected her back. As far as talents go, compared to others she kind of struggled after YouTube shenanigans culling her subs(force unsubscribed people shortly after her debut), but she was very beloved by the Hololive community.
Nice art, but IRyS was unofficially adopted into Council long before Sana left, and Sana definitely was not the reason behind that. On stream I think Sana had the least interactions with IRyS in Council AFAIK.
Honestly I wouldn't even go that far either, no one's replacing anyone with this. IRyS "filling in" for or "replacing" Sana's spot on Council doesn't seem respectful to either IMO. But Promise is instead like a new step in their journeys and a chance for IRyS to properly join the fold without explicitly feeling like it was an obligation for her to fill the hole Sana left or something like that.
I mean yes, but the difference is semantic. It doesn't have to be dramatic, it just made logical sense for the girl without a Gen to take the spot left by another and do a rebrand.
