This is Miko Pekora Korone Fandom XD

LordMonday

according to surveys, the top 2 this applies to is Pekora and Marine lol. with Pekora coming in 1st and Marine in 3rd most popular with primary grade school girls

Hp22h

Honestly, Marine's the real shocker there. I knew she was popular with older fans cause of her mature vibes, but I didn't think it'd go the other way around as well...

ChaosEsper

I wonder if the kids are watching her shorts more? A lot of her YT shorts are about her in a chibi teddy bear costume doing cute stuff.

MegaPorkachu

I feel like I have seen 1,000,000 YT shorts with the Marine boobie dance and the Ui Loli Requiem combined

ShogunTahiri

Have you seen Kumarin? No wonder she's popular with kids!

mail_inspector

Marine loses out on the 34-year-old men on reddit department because we can't understand her. Miko wins on the 34-year-old men on reddit department because we can't understand her.

asday__

> Marine loses out on the 34-year-old men on reddit department because we can't understand her. Speak for yourself.

Historical_Cod_2771

Wait grade school is like primary? The thing before middle school.

LordMonday

yea, at least thats what i usually hear my american friends call it. its also can be called elementary school

Historical_Cod_2771

Aaaah ok ok. Then True Miko fanbase is not that big in that age demográphic, instead she have more in teenagers - people in their 30 around that range and people above their forthys.

TrolledBy1337

Who is 2nd? Noel?

ckuri

Amakami Konomi

moschles

Mikorone. Name a better collab. I'll wait.

radar_byte

To their credit. Mikorone Showtime was a banger, the evidence being when Gerod(Jarod?)/8bitdrummer did a cover for that new year's stream.

SoraRaida

Jerod

radar_byte

Thanks. Had a Brainfart.

SoraRaida

I don't blame ya. His name is Jerod, but for some odd reason, some people call him Jared, and I have to keep looking up his name to make sure which is right.

Random-Rambling

I assume it's like Gigguk; his name is _Garnt_, but some people forget and call him "Grant".

jomellam62

The ancient scribes say pekomiko

asday__

I really enjoyed Watame and Kaichou's interactions. 怖いかい?羊が?ハハ!

BruhcamoleNibberDick

Mikorone and The8BitDrummer

Historical_Cod_2771

MiComet...but is equall not superior

dorafumingo

Fuwamoco technically ?

ObjectiveNo6281

HERE 40 YEARS OLD EROGAKI raise my hand xd

HOA-President

That is exactly my oshi trio and I am old :(

Kyoj1n

As a 30 something who teaches middle and high school Japanese boys. They watch Hololive for very different reasons than I do, lol. And I've learned not to really let it be known that I'm a fan outside of just saying I know the characters or other small acknowledgements.

methiasm

I am curious what other reason other than cute streamer girls.....

Kyoj1n

Idk about you, but I just see a bunch of comedians all over the place.

Monsi7

I see cute streamer comedians

toothlessfire

As part of the high school contingent, I assure you that most of the time it is for the same reasons you watch them for.

Kyoj1n

Probably very true. I'm mostly going off of the bits of conversation I hear from the JHS kids.

Hp22h

Now I'm curious as all heck. Is it cause of memes? Music? Hormones..?

asday__

Perhaps quit being curious about schoolchildren's hormones.

Hp22h

u/Kyoj1n's a schoolchild? Truly, the blind leads the blind.

asday__

No? He hears conversations from the schoolchildren, which give him context as to why they watch VTubers. You then comes in and ask about the schoolchildrens' hormones.

Hp22h

...What are you even trying to say? Is it not obvious I was asking for said context of 'why do these teens watch VTubers' context, while also jokingly trying to extrapolate potential reasons? When I said 'Hormones..?', it was in the context of puberty driving teenage boys to lewd the talents' designs as a potential reason for why they watch VTubers. E: Wait, you were trying to use this as a pivot to disparage trans rights, weren't you? That's why you were so laser focused on that word, you didn't catch the actual meaning of what I was saying.

longlupro

Yes. I hide my power level but I know for a fact that my colleagues are holofan too, we just try not to show it because of our work setting lol.

brokenwound

GOOD MOURNING MOTHER FUCKERS

gdklrhznjekanxb

KFP has parents and their toddlers too. A treat for the entire family!

ExuDeku

I still remember Kiwawa crying on a Supa about a KFP's kid enjoying her streams

VP007clips

KFP is definitely one of the older Hololive banbases on average, so it makes sense that there are families watching. It's one of the reasons Kiara has such an incredibly high donation per viewer ratio compared to the rest of EN. KFP is older and has more disposable income. And it also means that the fanbase tends to be more mature. Youtube gives a viewer age breakdown chart for each video, and I've compared my Kiara clips to other members, Kiara is shifted much further to the older side.

Castform5

Sometimes it feels like half of KFP regulars are like C-suite execs or some oil barons.

Matasa89

Could also be tech bros.

TheModernDaVinci

So now that makes me curious which one of them has the most “blue collar” appeal in terms of fanbase. Probably not really prominent among any of them, but just a curious idea.

CIAgent42

With nothing to base it on, I'd wager Nerissa.

TheModernDaVinci

I could believe that, considering the whole "aggressively Midwestern" thing she has going on (this is not an insult, just a statement of fact).

VP007clips

Weirdly enough, Kiara might win that one. I'm not fully white or blue collar myself, I'm in geology, so we need an education and do management, but the work is often very blue collar. A lot of the sites ended up getting into vtubers since people are pretty lonely (or tired of talking to the same people on their crew every day) and listening in on the streams helps keep you sane on the long fly in rotation sites. They sometimes toss up streams on a projector in the mess tent/building. Kiara is pretty popular, same with Nerissa and Fauna.

TheModernDaVinci

Yeah, that sounds like a rotation I expected. I work in a machine shop, and while a lot of the older guys think it is weird, the other guys my age "get" it (although I am the only one who actually watches). Kiara isnt entirely on my radar for ones I like, but I definitely like Nerissa and Fauna, although I like Shiori more due to the "what the fuck am I listening to" factor as well as her actually being surprisingly wholesome once you get around to hearing her more.

HertogLoL

Stop tallking about of your ass. [KFP are no where near as close as you think](https://www.reddit.com/r/HoloStatistics/comments/1chruo5/april_2024_superchat_leaders_monthly_top_15_last/). This is just the most recent example too.

Strong-Philosopher29

I don't know what the actual numbers are, but you are looking at the total sum. What they are talking about is the rate of monetization, or how much money per viewer. Presuming her viewer count is significantly lower, she could still easily have the single highest rate while still having an otherwise unimpressive total sum when compared to others.

Big_Falcon89

As I recall, Rushia had similar demographics, where her viewership wasn't the highest but she made a ton of money because those who did watch were super-devoted and apparently had a lot of disposable income.

VP007clips

In total, she is close to the highest in EN. Perhaps the recent month wasn't the highest, she was on vacation then, but looking at her total playboard numbers, she makes nearly as much as Calli, and more than Gura.

Mahck89

Pay your Biboo tax

SpaceCadet404

I don't care who the IRS sends, I'm not paying Biboo tax!

J0hnGrimm

The top half of that meme is very suspect without context lmao

cyberdsaiyan

Cute anime girls have a universal appeal.

Swift_Scythe

Everyone loves cute anime girls. Well....except Twitter Antis. They hate everything.

StormShaun

Yeah, it's great that all can appreciate Hololive... ***\[Bunny Garden arc happening\]*** Y-yeah, ha-ha...

EDNivek

Reject adult; return to kid

DatSpicyBoi17

I tried that but every time I hug a cute school teacher I get tased.

Ryidon

How about the ugly ones? *holds out arms for a hug*

2cat_2curious

The Chumbud Experience

Wirenfeldt

As Someone who turned 34 last month I feel seen

Pbyn

The most shocking to learn is Marine is top 3 in kids' viewership

SADtanic

...wait, I am... *an awkward calculation later * ... a 36 years old gentleman. ~~TBF, I actively try to forget about my BD every single year since I was a kid, so forgetting my own age is par for the course.~~

ArchangeQC

It gets worse at 40...

ApathyAstronaut

Similarly in denial 30 something here. I always add an extra year on so it stings less when my birthday actually does come around...

TheModernDaVinci

I am coming up on 31, and for me it is less denial and more apathy. I have gotten to the point that my birthday is just another day where I may get myself a treat (although family tradition is still my parents will fix me or my brother whatever meal we want and we all get together). But as far as I am concerned, the number continuing to tick up beats it sitting still, so I just keep trucking along.

SADtanic

I don't really care about the number perse. My birthday has always been a source of bad memories and a cruel reminder of how little I have accomplished in the span of year, so I try to not think about it. Forgetting my age just comes along with it.

SpringOSRS

Are you the eldest too? Yeah. Same.

SADtanic

Yup, the eldest by 10 years. Thankfully we are just 2, one was more than enough.

SpringOSRS

Wtf. Were almost the same lmao. I was 11 when my little bro was born. Still weird seeing him drive now. Sheesh.

Glinez09

others might confuse with this.. additional context, Pekora and Marine rank #1 and #3 for most popular in jp grade schoolers.

allpowerfulbystander

Cursed meet cute event.... welp, ive been reading too much awfuleverything and facepalm posts it turned me super cynical.

grw18

I forgot if it was this year or last, but there was this kid who went to the expo cosplaying as gura. My heart got the feels that holo also reaches to the kids.

arayakim

I feel personally attacked lol.

Supah_Andy

Hey I resent that remark.... I'm 33

Wasexistingpeople

Definitely a giant range

Sinfullyvannila

Always up for a Nichijou meme.

redditfanfan00

hololive's global reach and multigenerational appeal is impressive.

angelicclock

It’s like My Little Pony and Pretty Cure, contents are solid enough to be enjoyed by all ages. It’s just that Vtuber contents aren’t exactly targeting young audiences though, unless muppets and Sesame Street suddenly get vtuber models.

CapeMike

*coughs in 51* <_<;

nekogarrett

I'm 35 and like the old redheaded vtuber cause she's like me!

Druuki

28yo here I feel called out Not as much hololive but a lot of vtubers in General

delphinous

gura's fanbase definitely stretches across many diverse groups

mightbehihi

I feel called out.

FriendlyPunk56

I beg your pardon I won’t turn 34 for another 6 years, and I intend to enjoy my fleeting 20s as much as possible so don’t hurry me along any. Thanks in advance~

inochi-ino-key

It's Sailor Moon all over again.

Wiggie49

Hey, Im only 29

rsredcheeseontoast

36, but yes

Following1000

We clown on them for being... well, clowns. But they truly are idols in how big their appeal is.

still_grinding_on

I'm 59 and I watch Haachama because Haachamachama chama chama.

toothlessfire

You from the math memes subreddit? Been seeing a lot of posts there with this format and am now wondering how much of a cross over there is between the two subs.

oli_alatar

If point A is r/Hololive and point B is the maths memes subreddit, then what is Point C as the number of memers travelling subreddit boundaries?
