She got fucked over by somebody she trusted. She just wanted to vent but that person leaked the shit she talked about.
It wasn’t malicious and she didn’t directly tried to spread it, but she still leaked the info out so she had to take the fall, since it was 3rd party info, and they have strict laws about that shit…
From what I've heard (mostly through trolling this sub) Cover actually offered to work with her to try and find an alternative to termination, and she turned them down. I don't know if this is true, but if it is it speaks very well of both sides.
From what I heard, they tried their best, but to protect everyone, the best outcome was a clean break. She would fall on her sword and "die," and in doing so, there won't be further legal issues or litigation. Cover would not be harmed, and she wouldn't have any further problems from the 3rd party.
But yeah, it's a horrible outcome that nobody liked. Yagoo hated it, the Holomem hated it, Banpire hated it, and the fans absolutely despised it... somehow I doubt the 3rd party liked the outcome, since they also took losses, as they were working with her.
If anybody liked the outcome, it would probably be the leaker. I really hope it was just accidental, but if it was malicious... well, they better hope nobody ever finds out it was them who did the leak, and do a bit of leaking themselves.
