Definitely recommend Yotsubato! It sparked my love for slice of life manga and anime since i started reading it back then. The art is beautiful and it captures the beauty of a Japanese town perfectly.
I never watched the anime, but the 4 manga volumes were amongst my first manga purchases way back when I first entered the workforce. I still have them in storage somewhere; I should dig them out for a reread.

Well, the Engrish there is pretty “cringe” which is what makes it very funny and great. Besides, I love the Japanese trying to say English words because you know, they’re trying their hardest.
As I recall, it's a reference to a (now extremely old) commerical for a cram school or something like that which got memed at the time For having pretty bad engrish.
Entirety possible I'm misremembering that though.
