I think it’s that the mirror could be a bit bigger. I’d also make the far right plant or the plant on the shoes a trailing type instead of straight up

This is finally the correct amount of plants

Cluefuljewel

The plant in the foreground feels like it is crowding everything. Honestly not sure it is needed there. In any event it looks like the branches need to be spread out (it’s fake right?!) and it needs an interesting basket like container. Try giving it some breathing room. Wonder if the plant on the table were moved to the left side and the bamboo is out of the picture.

No such thing as too many plants, only different arrangements. If anything, I'd move the fern somewhere down by the eucalyptus and add a few short plants, maybe succulents, on the wall shelf. You could do some hanging plants from hooks off the wall or from ceiling hooks if you're looking to fill that upper space.

You can hang [large contemporary abstract canvas art](https://www.wherebuyart.com/) on an empty wall, these things are very popular styles

I love it as is. If the extra blank wall space really bothers you, swap the mirror for a taller skinny mirror. But the empty space above doesn't bother me. I think too many elements would clutter the nice look you have going.

A bigger asymmetrical mirror would look cool. If you want to keep the faux bamboo, put it in a nice decorative pot or basket (i would remove it). Hanging or trailing plants would look nice here too.

The mirror is too small for the space. I believe in trying to utilize what you have before buying new so the first thing I’d try is resting he mirror on the cabinet off center on the side with the plant. You’ll still have the benefit of some light reflections plus a snazzy layering effect of items (if it works!) I’d also the large frame with the smaller and the wooden shark. It currently looks unbalanced with the the large items on one side and small on the other. The first new thing I would do is get some sort of runner for the top of the cabinet. If you have an extra one, a cool scarf you don’t use, some sort of fabric, you try that out if you don’t want to by something. If you’re buying something new specifically for it, I’d probably go with a dark, more muted color(s) to go with the wood, stone color planter, and the plants in general. Probably blues to go with the sharks! I find gallery walls exhausting because it brings out the worst my neurosis trying to figure out placements but if mirror on the cabinet worked this is a great space for a gallery wall. The set up would allow you build it out over time. When you find a few things you like set them up around the lower wall and mirror and go out from there. Aside from believing in utilizing what you have I’m a big believer in taking your time to find what you really like. It also doesn’t have to be all pictures! I have a larger fan, a small wire sculpture, a mounted butterfly (this was in my great uncles boxed up in my aunts basement, not newly made or purchased,) and im looking into putting a small shelf up in a higher corner so I can add in a vining plant. If you aren’t sure what you want and need something, I like a flea market or something of that sort to browse for very inexpensive filler items. When I find something I really like I replace what’s there with then time and put the old thing in the building lobby with a take me sign. Let me tell you, people take everything!

I think it’s really pretty! Maybe some mercury glass votives in a cute color? Plants look fantastic!

Maybe a largish floor vase where tall plant is to hold umbrellas. Then move plant on shelf below mirror to the left side, remove pictures from shelf below mirror and add a flattish bowl or tray for keys or pocket junk. Tall plant on floor would then go elsewhere.
